Foot is waaay too serious to understand any practical jokes, so don't mind him.
EB definitely needs some fun on the forums. That way we can lighten up the dark faces of Kull, Teleklos and Foot. :laugh4:
But Dayve, you were wrong on one point. EB won't be released too soon.
It's going to be released when we have decided it is as bug free and playable as it can get so our fans won't be dissapointed with our work.
:2thumbsup:
How about letting the fans test for bugs?
Well... we'll just have to see about that.Quote:

I didn't call you a forum troll Dayve I just said you can be one on occasion.
Actually, i'll edit this. Wouldn't want to give you all the satisfaction of seeing me banned.
You cheeky little devils you.
(This post was serious)
PM me if you want that way you won't get banned I won't spread anything around that is private either way how about a compromise you can be intolerant we all do that at times I think.Quote:

Now lets just leave it and continue to discussion. Yes, it is worth starting a new campaign in 0.74 because the 0.8 probably won't be released until sometime after christmas.
I DO NOT KNOW FOR CERTAIN, I AM JUST SPECULATING AS THE LAST VERSION WAS RELEASED AROUND CHRISTMAS TIME, I AM NOT AN EB MEMBER AND DO NOT KNOW ANYTHING FOR CERTAIN, DO NOT PM ME, DO NOT QUOTE ME ON ANYTHING I HAVE SAID HERE. (This post was serious)
Since I never saw the comments you made before you edited your post I assumed that you still had something to say and I have no problem discussing it if that is not the case then I have no problem leaving it at that.Quote:

I've played a little Arthurian TW but not too much... If you don't play for a while, 0.8 will be even more enjoyable.
EB 0.8 will not be released after Christmas. If anything were going to cause that it would be running into yet more hard code that causes us to be unable to do what we want to. At that point I doubt there would be any reason to continue to develop on a legacy platform and I suspect we would just move all our effort over to MTW2.
The mature person understands that people cannot see emotion or nuance in the written word and thus will confuse jokes for seriousness more often than not. That is why smilies and other methods of making up for this unseen information exist in a forum like this. There is nothing of substance to be read in petulant responses claiming that anyone who didn't "get the joke" is a such-and-such. There is no reason to allow yourself to sink to that level, you are only doing a disservice to yourself.
Jokes are only funny to all if they are presented in a manner that makes it clear that they are jokes. Otherwise they most definitely will be read as serious by many, especially those who are looking for any source of information about a release. Any assertion that this is not the case either shows a surprising amount of ignorance or pure obstinance, and I would like to think neither of you.
So please, limit jokes to things about which people will not be highly disappointed, not to mention causing our mod team some pain to deal with. It really is common courtesy to do so.
Don't worry about it. I've started tagging every single post with "this post was serious" or "this post isn't serious, do not take it seriously", i've got it all sorted out, nobody can whine at me anymore if they can't see the humour.
But so help me, if i see anybody telling a joke on here and not making it clear it was a joke, i will start some shiat.
Would you happen to have access to any Pashto speakers over there? Well, duh, of course, but ones that also speak English? In EB's eternal quest to create totally unpronounceable unit and building names, we have a number of Saka buildings and units which need to be ported over to the dark side. :2thumbsup: If affirmative, please send me a PM (and cc Angadil and Steppe Merc).Quote:

Its been fascinating for a student of classic history to be over here for a year, theres literally interesting things everywhere.. when I was in Qalat, Zabol province, we had a fortress built by Alexander the great down the street, for instance.
Woot! Zaknaf, I've gotta say you're heaven's sent.
Totally unrelated: if you have taken any neat pictures while you have been there, I hope you upload them somewhere when you get a chance. If you do, please link here! :2thumbsup:Quote:

Its Ramadan right now, so the locals are all off during the day but I have several cat 2 terps (US citizens of pashtun/pathan/persian background) working for us.
