It's not anywhere I've seen it. It's a lot more expensive. Are you still confusing the Limited Edition and Collectors Editions?Quote:

This is from Gamespot:
So I think there are two things going on here (forgive me if this is a repeat)...Quote:
Strategy gamers on the fence about buying the PC game Medieval II: Total War when it comes out in mid-November may have just been pushed over the edge. Sega has announced that the first run of the real-time strategy game will be a limited-edition version of the game with bonus material. Those who pick up the game near its November 14 release will be rewarded with a "detailed map of the extensive game world" and the soundtrack from composer Jeff Van Dyke. The added bonuses won't cost extra--the limited edition will retail for $49.99 while supplies last. Medieval II: Total War is being developed by The Creative Assembly and is rated T for Teen.
1. The first printing of the normal edition will in fact be a limited edition as above. So if you buy the normal version on release day you get the limited edition...
2. In the UK and exclusive to GAME is a collector's edition of M2TW (see link below) but there is no news on this being distributed outside of the UK??

Collectors Edition Contents:
A collectors edition of the Medieval II: Total War game manual with exclusive cover.
A bespoke Medieval II: Total War Latinkon figurine based on the actual in-game model and contained within its own packaging.
A map of the Medieval II: Total War gameworld.
Four high quality artcards inspired by the art of Medieval II: Total War.
A special Collectors Edition Building Planner poster.
The Medieval II: Total War soundtrack specially remixed by BAFTA award winning composer Jeff Van Dyke.
Exclusive Making of Medieval II: Total War documentary.
Not sure, but the newsletter from CA leads me to believe:Quote:

Do people ever read threads before posting? :inquisitive: Or perhaps use Google? :dizzy2:
Round and round we go. Where we stop, nobody knows :beam:
I've already posted a dozen times about precisely what the three different flavours of M2TW are and where and when they'll be avaiable and yet still people post tripe. Come on, peeps, get with the program :wall:
OK OK,
There's a regular edition - with a game; a limited edition - with a game and map; and a collectors edition with a game, a map, some music, and an "action figurine". Woowie! Neato!
Of course at a later point there'll be a gold edition which will presumably include a game without all the (inevitable) bugs. Hmmm, that sounds like the one for me.
Wrong. We get it delivered here in Romania too...Quote:

I'm not shelling out more money for something that used to be included in any version.
I don't really care about the music and all. And if i wanted to see the map, I'll go online and find it somewhere
I think the name of this thread s/b changed to:
Who Gets The Mostest?!
Check out the "bonus" you get for dropping your Fifty at GameStop/EBgames:

Medieval II: Total War will contain a Gamestop EXCLUSIVE: The History Channel: Crusades: The Crescent and the Cross DVD FREE! A $29.99 value! From The History Channel: Crusades: The Crescent and the Cross DVD unfurls two centuries of war between two of the world's most enduring religions in an ancient, unending struggle of human and divine drama.
* Cutting-edge re-creations and computer graphics bring the battles to life.
* Renowned historians offer expert commentary.
* The epic series from THE HISTORY CHANNEL.
CA is trying to tie the game into history again using the History Channel after posting right here at the org that history is not their focus and that the game isn't a history lesson? The game doesn't give historical results when you try to use historical tactics. Using the History Channel this way gives a false impression and produces dissasified customers.
I don't think this is CA's idea. It is Sega that makes the deals and I think they are trying to attract as much people as possible to M2TW. Even if that means using History as a sales argument.Quote:

:skull: :rifle:
Guys they are the same price. The CE is just for people who pre order. Everyone who preorders it will get it instead of the normal edition!Quote:
