Now, for some reason that used to be one of my favourite games... I think the salvaging and mechwarrior training bit is the key. It was very satisfying to recover a good chassis from the battlefield. Nowadays I only play MTW, with an occasional bash at STW or RTW(RTR). In the past I played the Bioware games. Baldur's Gate II was the last Bioware title I ever played. I started to get too much into STW and never bothered with BGII/ToB until much later, when I picked it up for £5 in a sale. I remember installing it and trying to get back into it again but it didn't hold my interest for more than a few hours before I gave up.

Before that I was mainly an FPS player, starting out with DOOM and working through Quake, Quake3, Half-Life/CS and UT. I really can't play those type of games any more now, and have not played any games of this type newer than the first UT game.

The Thief series was also good, as was System Shock 2, but it all gets a bit repetitive after a while.
