Never. Only when I was in recruitment for army.
There aren’t any incentives in the UK to give blood only the warm feeling inside that you know you have done good, I didn’t even know where to give blood until I spotted a van outside a sports center a couple of years ago.
What are the incentives from other countries?
Free film tickets?
Money?
Tax cut would be nice..
I gave blood yesterday...
In Finland the benefit is a sandwich with water/juice/tea/coffee.
I get needled tomorrow morning for a blood test and I have to starve myself for 12 hours before they drain me.
Seventeen minutes left. Time for two beers at least.
I give blood.

the benefits in Belgium are multiple:
- If your a student and the collection happens at your school you get a filmticket
- If you donate at a collection organised by the red cross then you can chose between different gifts ranging from a towel to a comic.
- If you go regular to the hospital than you can earn points that when you saved, you change for something good like an electric drill or a vacuum cleaner.
The cola and sandwich are always free.
No. Partially because I am anemic and partially because I am terrified of needles
In the USA you get to eat as much of the free food, and drink as much of the free juice/water that they give out as you want. God my English is going to hell...Oh well.
You also get to have people dote over you and tell you not to stand up for 15 minutes...Well that happened one time anyway, but not when I gave double red. When I gave double red they just let me go grab a snack, I sat for a few minutes because I had to drive afterwards, and then I just walked out.
Anyone else give double red blood cell?
I used to give blood (and thrombocytes) regularly during my university time (the institute for chemistry was very closely located to the largest hospital of the city ... go figure).
In the last years I did not do it anymore (not enough time/too lazy), but I think I might start again, at least for the blood (usually they are keen on 0 neg)
Another poll where my answer isn't even an option:
No. Because I've had viral hepatitis, same reason my donor card says take anything but the liver.
