Cross country- the western part anyway. Most of the time I'm staying in Cienfeguos (or something) but I'm also visiting Havana, and there's a few days on the beach reserved :2thumbsup:

Ah Cienfuegos ! Went there to swim with the dolphins at the dolphinarium. Very poor place. When we went there, there was 2 building in good conditions in town. The military school and the nurse school. We went in town, but our guide didnt want us to go outside the bus, wich was a bummer. Even at the dolphinarium, there was a small village, and our guide didnt want us to go see. Me and my wife went anyway. It sadden us to see kid sat in the dirt with chikens and such. Was the only sad part of our week. Anyway ...

Shanghai, China (Summer) well, anytime but winter, too much rain.

Places I haven't been but have always dreamed about:

Santorini (staying right on the caldera, spring or fall)
Rome (too much history not to go once in my life, in the spring or fall)
Sweden (mainly that crazy hotel made out of ice, in the winter)
Luxor/Karnak/other Egyptian sites (I would love to go, but need for the political turmoil to calm down).
Oz (any city, any time)

Krakow is lovely, and, as you say, dirt cheap. Less than one euro for a pint? You can't really go wrong there.

You shouldn't be too concerned. Egypt is really quite safe and it's a fantastic trip.

Maybe a bit too early to take Jillian, mind - it gets jolly hot.

For me, maybe a secluded corner of the Croatian coast. Although in a better
frame of mind, and with better weather than last time. Pula, with less rain, or
Poreč could be good, too. Although the latter has too many tourists to stomach.


Outside of that area... for some reason always wanted to go to Brugge. Well, a
silly reason which I shall never divulge. Ever. Don't see that trip happening,
though.
