The Org - The Future?

Well for as much as I'm an "old-fart" veteran (I'm all of 30 ~:rolleyes:) and like things "just the way they are", I agree that the front page of the Org could probably use a revamp. (Indeed, if I had any abilities in website design & construction, I would volunteer myself for the job.)

I don't have a problem with how the page looks per se -- I rather like the aesthetics -- but I do confess it's not the most user-friendly site I've seen. Aside from the forums themselves, trying to find stuff there isn't always the most straightforward experience. I also agree with OliverWKim that we really do need to update the site to include a section for Medieval 2. The game's been out for over 4 months now, which IMHO is long enough to warrant its own space on our website. :yes:

Case in Point:
They still haven't updated the front page of the Org to talk about M2TW: Kingdoms even when it was announced like 2 weeks ago. I really think this site could do with some serious updates.

Nope, if you look one page backwards, you'll see Makayane answering Tran's question, which is the same as yours.

Ahhhhh, the legendary front page, as infamous as GAH! itself. One can reach the front page by mounting one's camel and leaving the forums via the north gate. Three days journey and you will find yourself, not too worse for wear, at front page (old orgish, "vrunthpeyge" which literally signifies "the foremost leaf" or in not so-old-orgish, "causes fear to horses"). I suggest you leave an offering to the shrine of Sjo-ghun and also visit the dhoan-lowdes which is very good this time of year.

Is it reachable by horse or on foot as well? I'm allergic to camels...

It is blashpemy to enter the sacred passes on anything non camelid. At the worst you will have to hire yourself a camel and place upon your nose a peg, or borrow a Moderator's Turban. Just one moment...

Yeah, that would be great. Updates are rather infrequent. And while you're at it, could you reskin the main page or something? That would be really great.

Is it okay if I start a new thread here in Watchtower about Org main/front page to attract more people attention? You know, the same has been done to Gahzette and now it's back alive! The same could be done to the Org main page, I believe :bow:
