George is now the King of the most populated country and leaves Metz for London. The financial situation of the Crown has been bleak with negative balances the last remaining years of Henry’s reign. Some tax evaluation was done on all settlements and the trimming of forces.
The Pope has given George his blessing but things have been cool the past few years with the Papacy. There are more English Cardinals in the College then at anytime in history. However, the wars with Scotland and Milan have not helped England’s cause with Rome.
A Crusade has been called to Antioch which is controlled by the Mongols. George has no opinion on the tasks but cannot afford to send a general at this time. They are scarce. The Pope is aging and hopefully that will be to his benefit but he has sometime before there is any action.
The war with the Axis of Evil has been a slow. The Scots made some attempts from Belgium but have not really done much. Near Bern the Milanese Army had had a build up but has not made a move north. It is the French that puzzles George. The nobility is almost destroyed they have few cities left but they continue to fight. There have been some attempts for peace but they have been firmly rejected.
