No I am not kidding you; in fact it's the same sort of stupid thing to hardcode as the difference between cavalry & infantry as far as movement points go... (In reality sedentary peoples can move infantry and cavalry at about the same marching speeds; in fact cavalry tends to be harder to mover around -narrow, rough mountainous passes etc.)

I loved Onagers in Vanilla too. It's just a great spectaculum to see 30 barbarians wiped out at once in a nice fireball. ~D I always found it unrealistic as well.
Personally I never use artillery in EB. Much to expensive. Seems like they were built of pure gold. My preferred method of taking towns is to attack the obligatory nearby mini-stack.:yes:

I completely agree.
Does anyone currently know if these things are hardcoded in M2:TW as well? I'm hoping not, as without the movement penalty, Artillery would be far more worthwhile, and may actually find some useful applications, instead of just looking pretty.:wall:
