I just managed to convince myself for 2 hours that playing EB 1.0 as the Arche Seleukia was studying for a Greek midterm. The new Klerichoi Phalangitais are beautiful and worthwhile to get, now . . .

No, the Sweboz don't get oppida. Unless you let your enemies build them first and then acquire them through conquest. The archaeology for this faction may be murky in many areas, but it's pretty clear on this point - no stone walls for 272 era germanics.Quote:

Auuugh. I would *like* to start a new campaign, but installation is taking forever...
Cheers.
I thought it installed quicker than any previous builds.
Seems like we've convinced at least one non-team member to go along with our charade of pretending that we've actually having released a working build. Maybe some other folks will play along too! :laugh4:Quote:

And in my opinion, EB is now 1.5479 times better.
Gauls, Iberians, & Getai - walled cities are all well attested for those cultures at this time period.Quote:

I'm installing it right now, but when it is done, I think I will start a campaign with either the Casse, or the Romani. And two days ago, I recently just installed Europa Barbarorum 0.8, lol. I was probably one of the last to download that.
Still downloading, but I have to go to train :(
But then I will download the rest of the torrent and start playing Swêboz
BTW: WEEKEND RULEZ
i plan to start a backtria one when i get home from school.....
Hearing that from such a major Roman fan makes all this work that much more worthwhile.Quote:

well, I'm playing Hayasdan now, and so far it's been nasty going, but fun. Caucasian spearmen are tougher than I'd expected, and I'm now four towns and growing. On my way to test out that new pan-Caucasian reform!
I am playing as Epirus right now, had some nice fights around taras with those smelly romans, and kickin maks / KH butts on the pelleponnes of course too.
no, i just got tired of the romani- for now. if i did a romani campaign now, it would be my 3rd consecutive time re-doing a campaign. i heard bactria was cool, so im doing them first, and doing an AAR on them too. then ill do the romani... i just need a break. :2thumbsup:Quote:

heres a balloon for ur effort- :balloon2:

Here's my KH campaign so-far.
Just about to (hopefully) take Thermon.
First time I tried I got whacked by a well ballanced & powerful full stack Macedonian army & lost everyone including my Faction Leader who went down fighting hard as a Spartan king should.
One hoplite unit got 600 kills in that battle :balloon2:
That stack went on to weaken up Thermon for me :)
For some reason, Macedon really isn't putting its back into trying to take Athens, keeps sending only minor armies that are relatively easy to fend off (that one is actually the remnants of the stack that killed my Faction Leader & two failed assaults on thermon so it'll be a pleasure taking it out)
