I remember one recent post where someone thought that the game should be modded so that every faction's capital has the highest level barracks in 272. Their reasoning: "because it would be uber-cool." Same with the people that want Lorica Segmentata for the Romans or Spartans to be unbeatable.
I just presume that anyone posting about such and such a unit or such and such a faction is around 14 years old until I see something to show me that they've put a lot of thought and consideration into their suggestions. Konny and his discussion on the money script, for example, shows how reasonable people try to make helpful suggestions.
Granted, I wish Baktria wasn't the presumptive favorite for the Saka v. Pahlava v. Baktria matchup, but I know that the EB team is working hard to balance every faction... they don't need me complaining and starting threads about how they are overpowered (besides, it probably has nothing to do with them being overpowered, but with economics).
But, overall, this has been a hilarious thread to read. Sorry I'm not as clever as the rest of you so as to be funny. The "vh/vh movie difficulty" comment was particularly good.
that is true that is true.... :book:
....and it gets worst when they don't want to pay attention to the responces given. Some do, others... need a little more bashing before they pay any attention to the responces:smash:

Re: WTF is up with people making "underpowered" thread/posts?!!!!
Since Bruce Lee was brought up, this seems an opportune time to mention another inscription I've discovered.
This one was in the hallway leading to the loo at a club:
BRCE LVV S NNSYPNSY -CN
Scholars I've consulted are divided on the correct interpretation of this phrase but I believe that this engraving marks the spot where a Ninja dared suggest to Chuck Norris that Bruce Lee could kick his ass.
Related evidence such as some police tape, a blood stained black boot with separated toe & a guitar pick were found in a nearby cupboard.
Some believe these are merely relics of later Ninja activity due to the proximity to babes at the bar & because the police tape is of a type whose first known use is after Chuck Norris.
However if Chuck Norris was around the bar hanging out with babes & killing Ninjas, the police most likely will have needed to order substantial new stocks of police tape.
It is therefore quite possible that this period was in fact the driver of evolution to the new type of police tape

Re: WTF is up with people making "underpowered" thread/posts?!!!!
I think Bruce Lee Probably had two hitpoints, and lost the first one early enough in the fight. Either that, or he had more stamina than Norris and simply outlasted him. And I like the idea that you could see the Roman world wonder on the battle map while they were fighting.

Re: WTF is up with people making "underpowered" thread/posts?!!!!
again, folks,
history proves that the use of the Bartixian Chuck Norris clone was WAY more cost effective, something to do with the standardization of training language and equipment issue (the Stetson Helmet and Denimothorax) so the unit had a lot more men and was better armored.
However, if your Faction Leader wasn't hit with the "declining civilization" trait series, which disables the Bruce Lee temple building tree in addition to making it economically impossible to survive the 1st 5 turns, then the recruitment of a mass of Bruce Lees was possible, but only if your start position was rich in mining resources and had good sea trade. So, that said, if you were able to mass Bruce Lees, you had basically already met your faction's victory conditions, but if you were at all short of your VC's, the Chuck Norris strategy was pretty much the only way to go.

ad a): I've found out that after some days of playing & lurking in the forums.
ad b): Someone else or maybe Callicles has posted a similar conclusion some time ago in another thread. And I have to agree with him ...

Bruce Lee doesn't have a cataphract camel...although I'm sure each one of his six packs may be quite large and misinterpreted as a camel's hump.

Remember in Way of the Dragon/Return of the Dragon, when Bruce Lee manages to grab off a handfull of Chuck Norris's chest hairs? That was Lee's AP trait at working subduing Norris's chest hair armor.

Jackie Chan is just an actor - at best, he is merely one of Bruce Lee's ancillaries.
Haven't you seen Enter the Dragon? During Lee's fight with 3 units of city guards (commanded by the charismatic, hale & hearty, but dull governor Han), Lee snaps the head of one of the guards who was played by Jackie Chan.

Re: WTF is up with people making "underpowered" thread/posts?!!!!
Just from an academic standpoint Would chuck norris chest hair armor implant from Bartaxia also explain his Germanic ancestors near invulnerability in battle?

That movie was set on H/E difficulty
Therefore Jackie Chan should be included!:furious3:

Re: WTF is up with people making "underpowered" thread/posts?!!!!
Unfortunately Jackie Chan has a lethality of 0 since all he does is bounce around the battlefield and knocking down the enemy.

Early engravings found in a tomb in Pannonia showing Germanic Schwârzéneggàz elite ass kickers indicate that they fought with a shaven chest.

On a side note, i hate how in these kind of movies the "good guy" always breaks people's necks like they are very, very dry twigs. They just move their palms a little and BAM the neck is broken :furious3:
The worst example is Steven Seagal, he always breaks about 50 necks per movie like that. He also tends to break everyone's arms and legs too :juggle2:
I can imagine him taking on a Roman legion: *snap* *snap* *snap* *snap* *snap* *snap* etc

Don't underestimate the power of the vibrating palm. On second thoughts, perphaps some of these films should carry a mental health warning.

Re: WTF is up with people making "underpowered" thread/posts?!!!!
I was under the impression Jesus was the son of God...? Then again Christians killed each other over the issue for a millenia and never got anywhere.
But since Chuck Norris, obviously, is God he should have no trouble dealing with some punkass son/aspect/emnation. Although that begs the question of what Bruce Lee then was, as he taught Chuck the ropes...
Deep, man.

Re: WTF is up with people making "underpowered" thread/posts?!!!!
Chronos.
BTW, what acctualy happens if you set a units lethalit to 0?
Does it still knock people down or is it completly inefective.
Cause if it was the former, you could have a very funny unit with 99ap attack and 0 lethality, it would win by knocking all the enemies over, but it would be a bloodless battle. Imagine a unit of them defending a town square...
Mind you, they would suck against cav, cuase cav can't be knocked down.

The doctrines set by the Council of Nicea proclaimed that Jesus was the son of god and god in the flesh as a part of the holy trinity...iirc :/
As for Bruce Lee & Chuck Norris...that's mind boggling. >.<

Or a unit with 99 attack and 0 lethality, or 99 lethality and 0 attack, or 1 attack and 99 charge bonus, etc
The possibilities for this awesome experiment is endless XD

Yeah, and we know how well that was generally taken, understood and heeded at the grassroots level...
Seriously, the whole Trinity thing has to have been about the single biggest self-imposed source of theological trouble for the whole faith. I've no doubt the Muslims tended to regard it with puzzled mirth (when they weren't snickering at the equally crackpot and troublesome transsubstantion issue).
But I digress. We're talking about Chuck Norris and Bruce Lee here, not misguided heathen idolatry. :shame:

Well if Chuck Norris is a god, and Bruce Lee is a god creator. He must be like the universe or something man. Thats deep man.
