EB MP tornament and general dicussion

ok firstly I screwed up big time and no body told me so sorry on my apart :sweatdrop: for not putting it in the rules about different era units and the legionaire aquilia for rome but it's beening expolted by lordbula and general burakuku :inquisitive: :shame:

also I think it the rome early units that are overpowered the camilian and polybains as there units are so cheap and high stat than legionaire that dosen't make sense :dizzy2:

any I though this was going to crash and burn but glad to see it hasn't

Its already been discussed in another thread about why Polybian and Camilians are so cheap yet so strong. Its a historical reason. During the Republican years it was easy to call up large numbers of men to battle. Since there was a census of the population, men would equip themselves, etc.

Just look at how many armies and men Rome threw at Hannibal.

Also, if you look at Hoplites, they are also very cheap.

yeah but I know they should be cheap but then again so should many units and it is a game after all where if you overpower one side the game turn into a how get's rome first kind of thing which normal put people off

I never mixed up units from different eras while I played Romani. Both times I was Polybian. What do you mean by "expolted"... do you mean "exploited"?

P.S. About the Romani. I propose this:

People host one at a time. One game each. So I say the host can choose tha map, money and the faction they play. Then, in the second game, the other player has the 1st option too. Right? So basicly you have at least one chance to play romani if you want to take this advantage, if you consider it to be an advantage.

If the cost is THAT different, (I haven't played with the Romani yet, I am however happy that the cost of Aedui Neitos is down $350). Then take pictures and post a separete thread about it with your consern for the EB team to look at.

Besides I got a couple of issues of my own I would like Bovi and company to look at. Namely, the super low cost of British Druids (the light blue ones), and the reason why the Uirodusios (wanna-be-Gaesatae) are a hero type unit, that is, they have an eagle.

I can vouch that I saw Burakuku use dunaminica...they sshould be banned.:laugh4:

My PC has a hard time handeling this HUGE size for some reason, my frame rate was kinda slow, but thankfully and its wasn't too bad and I was able to control my army dencently.

king hannibal what do you mean by exploiting.

I may not be big fan of your rules ( I think they are much to lenient ) but I do obey them.

ok yeah it was mainly my fault for not putting it in which I didn't thimk of but we are trying to do it as historical as possible with out writing instructions for playing each faction anyway first tornament so theres likly to be mistakes

He is refering for Post Marian Romani army of having A LOT of 1st Cohorts. (legionaries with the eagle on top them) That thing raises the moral of troops around.

Its a little of an exploit as the legions usually had 1 unit of those, and having most of your legions being those guys makes your army extremely hard to rout and very-unhistorical.

thats all really, its not a "huge" deal.

I lost 3 tourney games won none...yet. killed around as many as I lost (so around 15000) (2 vs Ren@, and 1 vs that Marcus dude). I lost 4 non tourney's and won 1 (finally 7 thrashings and I finally win-by a wide margin. though hannibal's speutagangaz were a hassle). I have lost the pics, so I'm really sorry (what happens when you fight continuously for 7-8hrs...AT NIGHT)

Cool I'll download EB 1.1 and uninstall 1.0 so I can play MP!

You don't need X-Fire. If you're from Europe join "EB tornament Europe" pass is: EB MP, if you're american - "EB tornament American" same pass. Yes, it's like I wrote. GL!

anyway what is happening with the fight some of you have said you've been in them what were the victorys and did you agree them to be tornament matches? if you don't have the victory condition wins I don't think I should add them unless you know what you got
