With the coming of a new dawn, many wondered if it signified a new beginning. Yet, was it the beginning of hope? Dare they to dream? Or was it simply the herald of darkness and despair?
The day's proceedings flew into a flurry as accusations and counter accusations flew about as paranoia spread deeply into the minds of the common folk. Good friends faced each other with knives held behind their backs, friendships forgotten, only concerned with their own survival.
"So, who have you chosen today?" Intoned Mr Grim with a loud voice, as he stepped forward from the mayor's office, his walking staff firmly in his hands.
The crowd yelled raucously, and they dragged the one known as Captain Blackadder to the execution platform. Her face visibly pale, Lucy Burkins was sweating profusely, her face a wide display of fear.
"Lucy Burkins, tradition has dictated that you are the guilty party, how do you wish to die?" No longer concerned with the usual phrase, the executioner got straight to the point.
Suddenly, her face contorted with rage and fury, her voice taking on an unnatural tone. "Die? Die!? Do you honestly think you can end my life on a whim with your pathetic mortal hands? No, it is not my time to die, not now, not ever." With that, she broke her bonds and stood up. Swatting aside the executioner to the side, she transformed into her true self.
Now towering over ten feet tall, she raised her clawed hands and screeched, "Enough of this nonsense, the time has come for vengeance." Taking a step forward off the platform, she abruptly quivered, her mouth hanging open.
Behind her, Mayor Grim had quietly picked up a pike standing on a rack outside his residence, and with a grunt, impaled it through wherever her heart should have been.
"No.. this cannot be, I was supposed to be immortal... they.. they promised me" The exertion too much to bear already, with the pike twisting in her body, the one they knew of only as Lucy Burkins collapsed.
The silence was deafening, no one spoke at first, all only in shock that there was such a monster in their beloved village all along.
Quietly, Mr Grim took the platform and said, "You chose wisely today, may your wisdom carry forth to the next days and beyond."
The faces in many of the villagers held glee, but not one, his face contorted in manic rage barely concealed, but ignored by the crowd in this celebratory mood. Another joined the festive mood, but he too, was slightly disappointed, slightly.

This night however, it was not to be such. As he plodded towards another tent, his instincts that had saved him many a time before screamed at him to duck. Hastily dropping to the floor, Seon pulled out a small dagger, more fit for cutting purses and scroll bindings than for slitting throats.
His unknown assailant was hardly cowed, and brandished a larger knife of his own. Seon was caught in a tense situation, the man was larger than him, and seemed pretty fast on his feet too, no, he realized, surprise and swiftness would win the day here.
Parrying the man's blade, which barely missed his knuckles, he sought to thrust forward. The man nimbly dodged to the side and made with an attack of his own. Realizing that he faced one who was better than him, Seon was desperate, capitalizing on the man's over extended slice, he heaved forward and pushed the man off balance, before turning his tail and running with full speed.
T'was not to be, as Shakras the Sharp suddenly stopped running, and dropped to the earth, a knife in his back.
Wiping a trickle of blood on his mouth, the unknown man moved forward and pulled his blade out of Seon's back, and disappeared into the night.

Morning followed swiftly, and the villagers arose to the sight of Seon lying in the streets, faced down, a pool of blood surrounding his body.
Quick to point out the obvious, Mr Grim took the platform. "Evidently we haven't caught them all yet, see that you do, and soon, or soon we won't even be a village with so few left."
And with that, voting commenced again, the fear of death was upon everyone once more.

I realize that I should probably explain my actions yesterday. I'm a gold digger, and proud of it, on the hunt for a new sugar daddy. As such, I am a gender scanner, and if they are male, I get a rough description of their economic status and features. I scanned Captain Blackadder night one and got that she was female. Since she wasn't useful to me, and anyone else might be, I started with voting her. When I reread the opening post, I saw that the primary villain was clearly male, so I switched my vote. Discontent to go without some form of petty revenge at those who had voted to kill her, Anna swayed her body as she knelt, further fixating eyes upon her, greedily drinking up the sight before it would forever lose its appeal.
Laughing at the ever easily manipulated men, it was the last sound she ever made, as the axe employed by the executioner swung down and hit home, a solid thump sounded as the head hit the floor and rolled.
Himself awash with regret that such a lovely young lady had to go before her time, Mr Grim's voice was brittle. "Tomorrow, no more of such nonsense, I would have myself at least something easy on the eyes around myself once we're through this disaster and wreckage all too common around me."

A not so young man paced around restlessly at the doorstep of his hut upon the hill, his age accentuated by his anxiety, and the deep frown that punctuated the growing realities of his fears.
No longer content to just sit around and await his fate, he had been the omnipresent watcher over the village folk, just like his forefathers had before him. However, this night, Konnor was the one being watched, though he did not know it.
Muttering under his breath of the folly of the village folk, who presumed any threat whatsoever posed by any who remained gone with the death of whatever that thing was. The hermit knew better of course, they weren't out of this mess yet.
Grumbling that he was too old to get things done by himself, Konnor did not notice the shadowy figure that crept up behind him, his quiet shuffling through the grass masked by the constant ramblings of the hermit.
Drawing his knife, he soon realized he had made an error when the clink of metal against metal sounded, the aged man turned around with a speed untypical of his years and swatted the knife out of his hands with his walking stick.
"So, you've come to kill me? I could hardly say I'm surprised." Hobbling towards that same cowled figure intending to make use his advantage, Ichigo soon realized his error as the figure sprang up and dragged him down by brute force, youthful strength overpowering his fragile body.
Snarling as the knife was retrieved, Ichigo's eyes only widened when he saw his doom approaching, the darkness was far more powerful than he had imagined, and now, he could not do anything to stop it.
A wet splutter of liquid soon covered the earth in its red grasp, and the figure fled into the night, the sordid deed done.

When the light of dawn once against shone upon the village, the acute absence of the old hermit was noted, his usual cynical comments not cutting through the air.
Narrowing his eyes, Mr Grim could only intone, "Pray that you find them soon, or we will all sleep soundly forever with a knife in our hearts eventually".
And it was with this grim tone that voting once again commenced.

@ YLC , is there any reason you hunt Beskar like this ? to me it just seems like a personal goal you try to accomplise.
I believe Tratorix, and classic hero missed votes yesterday, so leaving them for now, seems reasonable imo.
Diamondeye; I don't know what to make of the sudden change in his name, that he is no longer jack, but he apparently claims power role, and since we still have days left to vote, I suggest we leave him for now. However all that WOG stuff is a big fat joke. It's absurd to believe he would be WOG'ed by such posts and I have no idea why he believed so (bluff or irrational outburst ?)
As what YLC is doing seems like a personal objective hunt rather than pro town work, so perhaps it's a vice versa hunt between YLC and Beskar (just guessing now ofc, but it reminds me of the Roman republic game hosted not long ago)

Sasaki, was a bit fast was his OMGUS vote on Seon a few days ago, however Arpeg insisted that Blackadder was not a serial killer but mafia, with arguments I disagree with. It would ofc be ideal for a mafia to have blackadder marked down as scum himself, if blackadder wasn't so I will:

My personal goals are already finished, of what I could complete of them - Beskar was never mentioned in my role PM. However, funny you bring up a Tom/Jerry situation between me and Beskar - when Beskar first started playing mafia, we were initially tangled up in such a situation, albeit a friendly one from what I remember of it.
As of right now, I am enjoying being a thorn in the mafia's side, nothing more. I find Beskar suspicious, and thus I vote for him - DE's played his card so I'll leave him be for now - wouldn't be fitting of me to pursue such a case. Whether or not people follow me on the Beskar bandwagon is up to them, I just find it funny that DE thought Beskar to be the last mafioso the previous round and eagerly voted for him, which he is not doing now.

Note that nobody who has claimed that my post is "suspicious" has given any reason for doing so. I'd like to know what exactly is wrong with actually trying to follow a lead against somebody, rather than voting without reason.
In any case, Beskar was the best vote I could come up with and justify, so *shrugs*. Somebody give me a better lead and sure, I'll follow it.
