Yeah, I remember now reading it. I realised at some point we had a lock win cause mafia didn't hit the power roles.
Oh yeah. My bad. I have a bad habit of combining people (read: forum avatars) in my head until I have some significant reason to be able to distinguish them. Apologies to both you and @Zack.

Yeah...I've got nothing. Champ's being weirdly recalcitrant, but at least he's posting. Kagemusha has just one the one drive-by Choxorn pressure vote and Double A has nil. I don't think it's a given that lurkers are less likely to be scum when the thread overall is so quiet.

So we're in sudden death mode now? Cool. Cool, cool, cool.

At this rate it might be next week before we hit Day 2.

End of Day 1
The destination is located in the imposing and heavily guarded complex of the Tower of London.
The guards vehemently refuse the entry of the inauspicious group, until you mention that Master Montmorency wants you to duck around the place as a field trip...
Why did that succeed?
Having mobbed the Board of Ordnance for a few hours, your gaggle is chased away by angry men with rods.
Conspicuously, a pair of the apprentices, the old ones, seem to be folding up papers with information copied from the office's ledger-books. That can't be right, can it?
With experience from your previous life as a docks urchin, you lead the others to the Wharves, where the longshoreman are plied to entertain your questions about the iron shipment.
Eventually you manage to locate a promising quay, and some bundled sacks.
"I wonder if that's the goods what the Master lady wants a report on", someone pipes up.
One of the mature men saunters up to the most reserved apprentice - Double A - and claps his shoulder.
"Boy, wee naught knowe if even zis be they irown we looking four. Vhy daun't yuo fill up zees baks, see vhat really in is zhem?"*
The man smoothly shuffles backward into the crowd, and Double A shrugs. A few other voices urge him on.
"But wait!" one protests. "Only Champ is equipped to show us the way. He's a champ!"
"Yeah lol I could do it, but that's not a good reason to ask me. I'm not sure about this whole business either way." His nonchalance and good cheer confound you all.
Double A...
...
...
"Oi, you laggards make way out of the docks!"
That's some salty sailor. For some reason, you all decided to take a nap right on the wharf and have been impeding traffic.
"Too right my good man." El Barto demands that Champ get up and take care of things.
,,,
Everyone stares at Barto.
...
"God's bowels, get on with it!" Barto forces Double A onto his feet.
He dizzily reaches out to catch his balance and gets a good handful of the questionable material. It seems quite solid through the fabric. Double A opens his mouth...
"MIO CONTRATTO! NO TOUCH-E!!!"*
Half a dozen burly Italian haulers spring out as though from nowhere and surround the hapless Double A, beating him to a bloody pulp. After the rage of the moment has abated, they pull back.
Double A twitches his hand in your direction, crumpled as he is on the ground.
He's alive!
Unfortunately, one of the Italians grabs him by the legs and swings him out into the filthy Thames. Double A doesn't have the strength left to fight it. Also, he can't swim.
Double A has drowned.
He was

"What's that, you lost one? Useless bunch... And you - ", Montmorency points at the man who goaded Double A into insulting the Italians. "Why have you got all that paperwork on you?"
Snatching the copies of Ordnance data, she glances over it and snaps "This I can use. I don't know why or how you have this, but I can use it.
Good work man, uh... if you're a grown man who can read and write, why have you elected to come under my tutelage?"
Sputtering, the foreigner and his associate grab at the documents. The Master slaps them down for their trouble. They sulk away to a corner and whisper darkly...

Everyone is feeling very tired today. Master Montmorency's arthritis is creeping up. You mope here and there throughout the building. Are we all down with the sickness? Kids and their plagues...

I like El Barto a little more for being willing to break the tie despite the decent chance of hitting villager. Gotta wonder what Champ and Double A were doing for ~22 hours.
Hey, we still have 48 hours to get better ideas.

That was unexpected.

Also, my alarm goes off 15 minutes before my ability to speak expires, and I am off to bed. I doubt I can provide any insight prior to my time is up, so I hope you catch the :daisy:s.
I find the lack of posting and content so discouraging. When people don't post, there's nothing to do. It doesn't even really feel like a mafia game, or I guess the guessing aspect of the game is amped up to 200 with the lack of posts.
Yeah I don't know what to do when there's hardly any posting, other than throw around accusations. But that at least would be better than nothing:

Said the best we could do was discuss, voting Choxorn to prompt him for a reason for his Champ vote...then disappeared for the rest of the day, ending with his vote off-wagon. Not the only person to vanish into the ether, but I would have expected a little more out of him.
So, Sooh, could you post some content? :)
I'm still partial to a Champ lynch. Fenn has made a point about Kagemusha which could be a good reason to vote for him (a second is that he's stopped upvoting me suddenly).

Well, there are two choices here. Either we vote for Kagemusha and hope that he is inactive scum (this is mechanically correct) or, the alive townies choose someone else they think is scum and hope that they are right and that kage comes back sometime in the year to vote a wolf or whatever.
You guys decide what you want to do, don't think it really matters.
Wolves have killed active players both nights (instead of inactives which is pretty lame in a game like this) but to be expected anyway. Read into it what you will, good luck.

I could go for a Choxorn/El Barto scum team at this point. Active enough to not draw the 'lynch the lurkers' vote and voting together. Post #119 could be setting up a Kage lynch today, hoping I'll nod along and vote.
Course, if that's the case I'd still need Kage and Sooh to descend from the heavens or wherever and vote. And pushing on behalf of a somebody with all of one post feels a little silly.
The problem with all that, Fenn, is that I'm 100% town. Well, 99.9%impenetrabletown, but still.
How strange of you to drop your suspicions of Kage once others pick them up. Could you be his scumpartner?

Thanks for playing, and congratulations to Choxorn and Kagemusha. I'll post a few thoughts and questions about the game starting a little later.
Rough game. Thanks for hosting monty, sorry for all the inactives.
GG all.
Well, that one was one of my least satisfying victories ever. I was barely even doing anything and that was still more than my inactive teammate and half the town.
On my vote for Kagemusha yesterday- I voted him at first because it seemed like everyone else was going to and I figured I might as well get on the train and bus him. Then Fenn and Barto started going after Sooh as well, and my original plan was to last-minute switch, lynch Sooh, and end the game then and there, but I was busy around the deadline and forgot to come online. Not like it mattered- I got totally unintentional bussing cred from that, all that really happened was that the game pointlessly continued another day.
I think the timing of the game was bad, in combination with the setup (mini vanilla). It took a long time to get running because of GH's hiatus and general board inactivity, and by the time it did I suppose some of the potentially most active players (Kage and Sooh) pretty much dropped out.
Because of the inactivity I couldn't enforce rules well. Non-voting and Barto's instance of night-talk incurred no penalty, and Kage and Choxorn were scum, so.... In fact, the N1 Logic kill was randomized because I never received orders; terrible situation even if you have replacements in the wing, which I did not.
I believed, since the Org revival began attracting high-posters, that a core of 'super-poster' players could by the centrifugal force of their activity bring up the average post count in general, and induce participation. I figured that this was how games sustained explosions of activity in the first half. Seeing Visor attempt to jump in swinging fizzle out on D1, I'm not so sure anymore.
Still confirmed that writeups are not my strong suit. Some of them were overly mean to the players or on-the-nose; I apologize. Frequent typos, formatting and other sloppiness as well. I should have just used BB centering, rather than indents that look horrible on mobile. Etc.
I would like to discuss the rules, namely:
1. Sudden death. Worked terribly for this game's size and activity.
2. No night-talk and 12 hour dead-talk. In this game these settings were irrelevant, but the idea going in was to emphasize the roles of the newly-dead in the thread. Clearly time-locking means nothing if the player is not active or has nothing to say, but I wonder if it's a worthless concept in itself.
3. Player PMs, for a little fun on the side. Unless I'm wrong and someone had communications, it seems like the PM system remains something no one feels the need to use; probably superfluous for very small games anyway.
Here's the QT. There's no activity of note.
Kage was inactive, and like I said in the QT and in my last post, I was often busy around the deadline, and I just completely forgot to send in an order that night.
Hard to be activity when one of the two scums vanishes immediately after the start of the game.
Sorry for not joining this one, just had too much academic stress beforehand and during for me to consider it.
