waow looks amazing
How accurate are they?
Hi guess,
have you already considered the navy?
I think you should have that the English and the Dutch/Belgic fleet is the best one around the world.
And in the Canal between England and France you should have lots of pirates.
also I think you should make In the Dutch/Belgic faction a lot of foundries, because they supplied all the French soldiers.
The Russian navy wasn't too shaby... when they could find a port. ~D
One question do you know if for the animation for shooting you wil be able to get men in the front rank to crouch when shooting and etc. Because if you can't i believe it would be better if only the front rank could shoot.
But the mod looks amazing and i played ntw and i look forward to playign the new version over the internet.
I don't think it will be possible to make the front rank kneel. If they achieved that, I would be very impressed
It might be possible to do as part of the reloading animation. "Stand up, shoot, kneel, reload" kinda cycle.

Does that mean that actual regiments' names will be implemented? PAvlov grenadiers are not a type of unit in the broad sense, but the name of the regiment.
the models and animations are great, but the skins are all a bit blurry. Not that I really mind
Some low video resolution pictures we test on every resoution to check gamespeed. As we said before work is far from completion. The Russians have had two overhauls already as most of them were made on v1.1. So you will see unfinished work most of the time, but we try to keep those screens coming.NTW2 will be a long lasting project, we will not rush in a unfinished product, but I will try to keep you all informed as much as possible.Quote:

Very good looking. ~
Can I suggest making the Jaegers' lwer legs a bit soughter in the calf section?
as a percentage how much of this mod is completed?
What function will the drummer serve? Will he play as they are marching?
hm, wonder if it is possible to place the drummer and flag carrier to the back of the formation. It'll be weird seeing them fight on the front ranks in 2h2 fights.
Also remember that they take up a model slot (of which there are only 200), so you might want to be carefull not adding too many "officer" models.
They do look good though
It's not possible to place individual models in specific places in the formation - the best that can be managed is by putting them in the third officer slot so at least they're in the third rank.
Vanilla gets away with the ensigns and musicians by using a single model across cultural factions - which might be possible with drummer boys as you could get away with them having a generic model, but ensigns would have to be modelled in line with the unit.
Finally, I've just got to add that my father was a complete Napoleonic nut and he would have been unbelievably excited to see what you guys are doing here.
Are you going to have bagpipes for the Scottish regiments?

very nice - you guys have any release plans yet ? Will there be a "battles-only" demo/beta or won't we see anything until the campaignmap is one too ?
Wow! This is really nice looking. I was wondering, though, how the computer AI is going to act. I'm afraid it will use the same Cavalry spam tactic it uses in RTW.
I thought the first NTW was also amazing, the one flaw being that the AI was not suited for the task.
I will reinstall RTW on my computer to play this when its done, it looks great so far.

will the men have to form ranks and fire one line at a time like in real life, it'd be more realistic that way ~;)
ps. keep up the most exelant and spiffing work
One question.
of the 3 Kossak pictures, 1 has no name... what are they?

Also Don Cossacks with battle headgear instead of parade headgear.
So those are the same units we still have to decide what we will take for the game.
All of the work shown here may still be altered or polished.
It is work in progress.
LZoF
I'd put them in battle gear.
It just seems... wrong to make them go into battle in perade dress... unless its a punishment ~D
I can only wistfully imagine how great this mod is going to be. If you've played the original Napoleonic mod for Medievel, you know that the Lordz are true professionals and masters of their craft.
That is an understatement...
My only problem is...
Why do they keep miss-spelling Kossak?
Hello
This mod is great job. But please change model of horse. Present model is terrible. This is ugly horse from RTW.
Karol :charge:
Great stuff! any idea when we can expect a release?
+ welcome to the forum Karol
Excellent work, guys!
I always admired with yours NTW mod. Till now I play its MTW version.
And thanks for qualitatively made Russian Army.
I work above mod " Ogniem i Mieczem " or " With Fire and Sword " in English.
Here ours screenshots:

At us the problem with fire-arms till now is not solved. You can help us? From our side I can offer you the help with Russian architecture and, probably, architecture of Turkey.
My address desperate_ronin@list.ru
I shall be glad to our cooperation.
when you installed the mod, can you still play with the normal RTW? with the factions? or is that erased?
As always with a full conversion, to many files will be altered so you cannot play the original game anymore, you will need a separate install to play both.
LZoF
guys, are you trying to make something like this for Rome
Imperial Glory
go download the demo for it, it comes out end of month, but its gfx and everything are better than romes. And its in the imperial age, with awesome naval fights
www.download.com
Ahhh!
Old News.
I hate to break it, everyone (I believe literally) has already heard about Imperial Glory.
The Imperial Glory sucks compared with thet, what possible to make on RTW engine. It concerns also a level of detailed elaboration of units and their amount on a map and realness of fighting model.
The Imperial Glory is an arcade for broad masses of users.
It all the same what to compare "Praetorians" with "Rome". Praetorians - good game. But it cannot compete with Rome.
Imperial Glory is awful, and the graphics aren't better...:S
Something different for a change, some work in progress on the loadscreens and faction flags all may still be changed but it gives you an insight.

The polish coat of arms is not correct it is useful only for the Duchy of Warsaw of for the time of Polish-Saxon union which was ended before the starting date ( 1793-94) of the mod.
Unless something was changed in this matter it shouldn't be used for the faction, otherwise a great work, as usual ~
Will there be a chance to make Ireland have constantly discontent if its owned by the Brittish empire?
Has already been corrected. But thanks anyway as always.Quote:

looking good btw
No Canadian and German. We just started with the Russian and the French and some British, hope to have some of them soon to show, but we could use many more 3D modelers of this quality.

The firing animation looks good apart from the bits of rock flying about in the smoke. Have you managed to get the cannons firing yet?
Could be solved by making the data/models_missile/sling_stone.cas, max with a transparent texture.
LZoF
Well I still am not sure with the whole musket thing. In a few weeks I am going to start trying to make some smoke animations for ZTW but I really don't know what I'm doing so progress I expect will be pretty slow. Good to know that some people have already done it though ~:) Any advice you could give me?
Mail me with what you need.

Here is a better one - at the bottom of the page - it is the banner of the last king of Poland - so should be good for the period
