Ich habe keine Probleme mit der neuen Rechtschreibung.
Ich lehne sie ab und sehe mich da in einer Linie mit renommierten
Zeitungen und Authoren. Ich sehe auch nicht, dass ein Wechsel von
z.B. Photographie zu Fotografie etwas bringt. Im Gegenteil.
Die etymologische Information die in den ph's enthalten ist
lehrt doch auch etwas, oder? (Herkunft aus dem Griechischen)
Wird Philosophie jetzt eigentlich Filosofie geschrieben?

Ich bin mal gespannt, es gibt ja im Moment Pläne große Teile der Reform
wieder rückgängig zu machen. Hast Du davon gehört?

Diese ganze Reform war mal wieder ein typisch deutsches Beispiel für völlig sinnlose Zeit- und Geldverschwendung.

Die Kinder, die in diesem Chaos Schreiben gelernt haben, tun mir leid - sind vermutlich alle zu orthographischen Anarchisten erzogen worden ~D

And I used to speak a mean bit of Hebrew too -- but learned it while I was young. That equals quick learning of the language, but quick forgetting of it as well.

Same goes for papiamento, the language of my homeland Curaçao, or Korsou and they say it there.

But I grew up on Aruba, were they spell Korsou as Corsou. Arucambas hate yunang korsous and vice versa indeed! ~D

Is it like British and Spanish? As in -- British can't speak English, and Spanish can't speak Spanish (while the Americans and latinos can)? ~D

I guess its the good weather after having finished a really big project that had me locked in a lab for 12-14 hours a day (many days I didnt even know what weather was like outside...) and also the facth that the weekend is 3 days long as opposed to 2.... ~D

That's 420. April twentieth, at 4:20 (am or pm, your choice, [or both if you're devout]), you smoke some pot. I don't care for ritualizing a recreational activity, so I don't participate, but I hear about everyone's plans for 420 every time it rolls (no pun intended) around.

Interestingly, though, it kind of provides a hippie-esque "free love" environment, where one can basically go anywhere in the city and smoke pot with anyone else they meet, whether or not they know them.

Die Rechtschreibung ist nicht dazu da um etymologische Information zu transportieren und wer ein 'ph' braucht um zu wissen dass Filosofie aus dem Griechischen kommt, dem ist eh nicht mehr zu helfen. Die Pläne die Reform zurückzunehmen gibt es doch schon seit Jahren. Sicher gibt es einige Probleme mit der Reform, aber die meisten Regelungen sind jetzt logischer, etwa Doppel-s.

Ob man nun für oder gegen die Reform war, si ist nun mal da, und meiner Meinung nach ist das wichtigste dass es jetzt bei dieser einen Reform bleibt. In den Niederlanden haben wir ganz schlechte Erfahrungen mit immer neue Rechtschreibereformen biss zu dem Punkt wo keiner mehr weiss welche Schreibart nun den letzten Regeln entspricht. Von Schülern wird die neueste Rechtschreibe heutzutage mit einem kollektiven Schulterzucken entgegengenommen: uns isses Wurst.

Wo ist da die Logik? Die Regel hat sich nicht geändert, so viel ich weiß, nur daß man jetzt dass statt daß schreibt. Wenn man wenigstens so weit gegangen wäre das ß ganz zu streichen, aber so ist es einfach albern.
