Thanks to Ranika for the info on these Goidil gods
Tell me what you think of these ideas for the Goidils Temples:
Dagda (creator of universe)
Lv.1) +10% order due to law
Lv.2) +15% order due to law, +2 morale
Lv.3) +20% order due to law, +4 morale, enables training of Hammermen
Llyr (demigod and herioc warrior)
Lv.1) +10% order due to happiness
Lv.2) +15% order due to happiness, melee weapons +1
Lv.3) +20% order due to happiness, melee weapons +2, ranged weapons +1
Morrigan (goddess of death and fertility, Dagda's wife)
Lv.1) +0.5% growth, +5% public health
Lv.2) +1.0% growth, +10% public health
Lv.3) +1.5% growth, +15% public health
I can also help with the unit research and stuff like that
Hi guys, I'm back from my trip to england....so RTW king, do you want to just include Briain and ireland? or do you want to include some of gaul? cos i'll google up a map of modern britain and france to go on...
I'll look for a map and send you it straight away. BTW, what do you think of the guide to the clan modding team (a couple of posts up the page). And do you like the ideas for the Goidils (Irish) Temples?
Hi guys.
I'm from The Age of Vikings and Fanatics: Total War team.
I have quite a bit of info on your time period laying about from when I thought that our MOD was in an earlier time period. If you like I could post some of it for you.
Mostly its weapon and armour info. ~D
Yeah, thanks, that would be great.
If you were looking for a forum i know a site that could host this you guys. Should i ask them if they would host this mod?
Ok, If you PM me your ideas for units and such it will make my helping you much quicker and easier.
Llyr should be Lugh. Llyr was a Briton name (there were several depending on the local tradition and dialect) for Lugh.
How about this for a map we can use?

Obviously the regions won't be the same, it will be larger and more of Gaul will be included
I'd keep it as it is, just inclulde a little bit more of Gaul, enough to fit in 4 settlemements (for the 3 Roman Generals and Julii main).
kk now all i need is the regions....who was doin that?
I got all the cities, but now i got to find where they go on the map.
King of Atlantis, you'll need to wait till ian_of_smeg finds out about the regions. Send him the info on cities so he can base his regions on them.
How is everyone getting on with the mod?
I just need Atlantis to get back to me with Cities and i can get started on the map.
And Atlantis? dont worry about the Isle of Man town i already know it....
BTW, do you want me to set up forums for this mod. I could get them set up by tomorrow.
That would be excellent, definatly
I've made the mods first unit. ~:) I don't know how to post screenshots here, and I can't get Imageshack to work. Anyway, its a Pict Cavalry, and its basically a mounted Woad Warrior. It would be ideal for the tribes in Scotland.
Alright im compiling all the cities and im goignt to try to find their relative postition, should be done in a few days, but Ian you should just make a couple big regions to start with and then I can fill you in with the details.
Yeah, i can do that ok
BTW, could one of you'ze (how are you supposed to spell that?), send me the file:
data, world, maps, campaign, imperial_campaign, descr_strat
I've been an idiot and lost the backup files when I was editing it. :embarassed: Perhaps you could put it on the download section of RTW Heaven. I won't have acess to the internet for the next few days. It would be great if you sent me it as I can't do the campaign. :furious3:
Thanks anyway. ~
Hey guys, my computer was down for a couple days(i to use a very SLOW one) and i lost the time i could have done the cities. My time is going to be very limited in the next week too. I might be able to help later, but i really cant help much for atleast a week.
Does anyone look at this anymore? hows everyone getting on with the mod?
Someone Pleae Reply!!!!
I'm just working on the map_heights and map_regions file now. But it's going to take a while because this is only my second go t making a new map.
As a guide, the Romans didn't start building walls until after the Boudicca uprising.
As for 'Celtic' Gods there is a good basis in this site: http://www.pantheon.org/areas/mythol.../articles.html
Also in the Iron age/early Roman period many of the defensive structures in the north were made of stone. Nearly all buildings were round house based.
Hill fort size tended to be bigger in Southern England, while Western England tended to have mainly defended/Walled Enclosures.
Hill forts also appear in the Welsh hills, and drop into enclosures again the further into the south west you go.
Maiden castle is MUST...at least if it is possible to mod such a structure.
As a side note, I worked in a dig in the Cambrian mountains, at this cistercian abbey, and there were Bronze and Iron age hillforts on opposite hills...looking across the valley at each other. You should also note that the majority of hill forts have had no real survey work done, so you can have quite a bit of artistic liscence on them ( except for the round house thing ).
Sorry for a long post, but would love to see the mod completed.
