Blademun you'll soon be able to edit your posts. In the meantime, would you like a mod to take the images out of the post?
This is my 114 Bombard Army raining fire on this poor Rebel town. I tried to fit all 114 Bombards in the pic but could not.

I looked at all my other generals and did not see the "Poor Speaker" trait anywhere, and since it has no effect I am guessing it is a shot at a certain motivational speaker due to the similarity in names.
I am sure some clever person could poke around and confirm if the Poor Speaker trait only applies to this name or if it is more universal...but that person is certainly not me.
Happy holidays.
Poor Speaker means that when he delivers pre-battle speeches they...suck.
Trust me, listen in on a few and you will laugh.
Pardon my ignorance but how do I take screenshots? Had a great I wanted to grab last night. As Sicily I had a Princess who happened to be standing on source of marble, the one near Bologna, and stop my baby merhcants make on their way to Venetian textiles, which last stop before silks from Constantinople. Well I am getting to move him up to his marble and the mouseover description pops up, listing the spot as a trade good, Sicilian Princess, 27 Florins per Turn :laugh4:
"Poor Speaker means that when he delivers pre-battle speeches they...suck.

Hmmm....perhaps I will have to get him out into to the field (he seems to be my only general that does not become wildly extravagant after a turn or two in town).
Thanks...and perhaps I can show some patience and not touch the mouse before a battle :(.
Just wait, what 30 seconds?

Can anyone tell me how to show images in post?
Log in to your imageshack account, go to "My images", select "thumbnail view". Each of your uploaded images should have several strings listed near them, click in the first box under "embeddable code" (the one that starts with [IMG]) and press CTRL-C when the text is selected. Then switch to the forum reply editor and press CTRL-V where you want the image inserted.Quote:

I think a better name for the princess would be Gilette the Sensitive:-) I always knew that there are hidden ads in every game. I would not be surprised by a general named Wilkinson the Sharp. :-)
Unless I'm much mistaken, Julian isn't a girls name... even the Tutor (which is pointless for a Princess) refers to this character as a 'he'!

edit: it's Tutor, not Mentor.
Delicate blade? Isn't that supposed to be an assassin item? Fine kitchen implements granting bonuses to a princess seems a bit of a stretch...
Helps keep the princess from being wacked. I find that is usefull since I am bordered on Milan.
I think this picture speaks for itself...

KHA------AN!
I took this one a few days ago. One of my generals went brigand, so I decided swift justice had to be administered. I did so with vastly superior numbers (about 1800 against 20)

Hey Steph, just how many did the archers in the second screenshot kill in that battle? sounds like you could have taken a lot down with you.
I don't remember exactly, but you can see on the picture that the spearmen (the 2 units on the right) are already seriously reduced. However I needed many arrows to kill them because they were armoured.
I think all 4 units were each reduced to approx a size of 12 (at which point I change the target to increase the chances of a hit).
I thought about charging them because they were all wavered. The only problem was that my men were exhausted...and also wavered!
I must say that in this story if I had kept my general guard unit on the field this would probably never happened because the spearmen would have attacked my general, not the archers.

"Maybe if we give them our gold stars they'll go away"
http://www.zen17212.zen.co.uk/Pics/MTW2/party.jpg
It's a party and you're all invited!
Rather frustrating period in my Portugal game. Sicily and Venice factions kept crusing over to my island and placing stacks of troops on it. And the second they outnumbered me they'd attack me. I'd beat them off and we'd do a cease fire. And then they'd again drop units off on my island (without declaring war). And they'd just sit there, forcing me to keep a huge standing army.
And as for Milan being there? I've no idea, they never attacked me they just seemed to like keeping a small stack of troops there. Even the Pope visited the island, and he didn't even have an escort! If I weren't so nice I could easily have captured him and ransomed him.
Anyway... here is my Russian leader. I'm rather proud of him.
And here is one of the few princesses you'll ever see who has a fair few stars in Charm.
If this is an island with only one city, I would let him take it if he wishes. Just stack your own forces near his continental cities, and as soon as he attacks you, take 3 or 4 of his cities! :idea2:
Also, prepare an army on water and break all his ships, so he cannot disembark to attack your back. Or blockage strategic point on the sea.
Stéphane

The nice thing about when they constantly attack you like that is that your troops build up experience wickedly fast.

What happened in MTW is that the enemy stacked a lot of units on the islands and I resisted several sieges. During this time (my goal was to take total control of the sea), I sent ships to destroy his navy and when he took my castle he was left alone on the island. He staid there until the end of the game, when I massed several thousand troops and send them for a finaly "good bye". It was like 5000 veteran troops against 150 ;)

Welcome children to the Acre Zoo today. And what do we see in the first cage? That's right they are Mongols! Don't get too close now! These ferocious and clever creatures are from the far-off steppes of Central Asia, and it is highly unusual to find them so far from their native range. It takes great skill to capture such wild animals. You must place battering rams at a precise distance and then trick the Mongols into turning the trebuchets in opposite directions. What's that? Oh they are constantly running in their box, that's how they stay fit. Oh no, Mongols are known to be very dangerous to Danes so you must stay out of the cage or your battle might finish early. Thanks for visiting today, come back any time you want to see our fine example of Mongols In a Box.:eyebrows:

Whoa, where'd that Aztec general in your army come from?
Bribe of course. He cost me an arm and a leg but hit was worth it. The very same turn I converted him, I sent him off to kill a stranded unit--and to my surprise, he spoke perfect English during the battle speech! Not only that, he came to battle in full metal armor on a horse even! I'm beginning to suspect that he wasn't an Aztec but a Portuguese pretending to be an Aztec waiting for the bribe money. But then, it brings to question how a Portuguese spoke perfect English...Quote:
