EDIT: Don't worry about missing the threesome thing - its really not as great as all that. Making sure you give both equal attention, remembering which one likes what where and when plus the simple amount of physical effort required means its just damned hard work.
I thought it was worthy of note that again askthepizzaguy has created an entertaining thread. Chaulk full of wonderful nuggets !
As someone who does view the org as a fansite and an entertainment oriented venue i tip my hat again, thank you.
Jeez....life's tough isn't it. Anyway you mean you worry about what THEY enjoy :laugh4:Quote:

And I guess we'll have to agree to disagree on the part "its really not as great as all that". :beam:
Aight, TW related... uhm... is it possible to mod threesomes into the game? IE, general runs off with a polish AND a danish princess? *ok, admittedely I'm stretching it*
The feeling that one has to be a mateless geek to play bothers me. I was Airborne in the service. I like to camp and hunt. I have two wonderful children, and a outstanding wife. I am a peace officer. I like the tactics in the game and the immersion. It gets me away from stress of everyday life. You guys and gals are all right with me. In general, the politeness and help on these boards is a testament to all of your characters. (not in game, Real Life). My two cents worth. :2thumbsup:

"Well, if your ancestors had been more tolerant, less blood thirsty, and less oppressive to their "Colonies", I guess you wouldn't be in this predicament. Hey, what goes around comes around, and it is your turn to be on the bottom of the social/economical/military food chain. Too bad your ancestors weren’t better at being human beings. Then maybe those you colonized would treat you better”
Too many Europeans forget that the United States was one of the first colonies that threw off the oppressive yoke of European imperialism. The whole Total War series is a reminder of just how poorly people treated each other in those days.
Maybe if more people actually studied history and indulged in such passtimes as playing M2TW we'd have a much better educated world populace. Too often people like portraying themselves as the "Victim" of foreign persecution without admitting that their own people have done as bad or worse.
To date, I've never seen anything done since 1900 that is worse than what was done previous to it. The Holocost stands out as being horrible due to the lack of genocide in the 1900's. Prior to that it tended to be business as usual for many nations. What Spain did in Central America was a worse atrocity in scope and number killed.
I have to admit, this is a very amusing and entertaining thread.
You ask why more people have not shared? Pretty simple answer, I think. Most people don't want to share extremely personal information on what is supposed to be a fairly anonymous message board. People get freaked out that someone may read what is posted and actually be recognized. Regardless of the size of the world, people will feel that maybe the "guy next door" is the person you are interacting with on the message board. Not necessarily a good thing.
I consider myself fairly "normal". Whatever that term actually means is up for debate. I am married 15 years to a great lady who is also my best friend (isn't that the way it's supposed to be?) and we have two great kids, a house and a cat.
I play M2 way too much, on average 2 hours per day since it came out last fall.
I have hooked my young son on computer games so much so that my wife gives him heck for not going outside and playing enough.
I have never made it to the America's in game because I have changed the time scale to have one turn = 1/2 year, synching up the aging of the family tree to the time scale of the game. I have always won well before gunpowder is ever invented. That's ok with me, though, because I don't like the gunpowder units (other than cannon) anyway. I would rather play the game with bowmen, spearmen, knights and swordsmen.
To the young fella who gave up the threesome, all I can say is that when you are lying on your deathbed a long, long time from now, you will look back at that one point in your life and you will ask yourself "Why was I so dumb?"
When I am bored at work (like right now) I think about M2 and visit this board.
When I am on a family vacation, I secretly miss my computer and M2.
My wife will ask me something like "How are you?" and I will (tongue-in-cheek) respond with something like "Well, not good. You see, the French and HRE are trying to take my capital city of Milan, the Pope hates my guts and has called a Crusade against my captured city of Antioch and to make matters worse, my former ally, the Hungarians, have just sieged the walls of Zagreb!" My wife will just roll her eyes and ask me how my addiction is coming along.
Life is pretty good!
I am glad you have found something that makes you happy but I think you may need some professional help with your social skills...the world has enough hermits...get out, exercise, meet a nice young girl and enjoy life to its fullest...something that is very hard to do by yourself....
Meh. I will someday. I'm in college right now and my time is divided between work and school, and I dont have any money. It is physically impossible for me to have a relationship at the moment.Quote:

alex9337, I gave up on trying to explain MTW to friends and family. Once I had just finished an english campaign (VICTORY!) when my Gf came home... She found me listening to "rule brittania" on the highest volume drinking sherry and toasting my own tactical genious.
I didnt even bother trying to explain, fortunately enough she let me have my little fun:)
So, could we give up on the Europe/US bashing thing? They only lead to flames and locks.
It's not like it adds to anyone's enjoyment around here.

:laugh4: Hm... I really don't have many shames, but I can mention those I got
1. I spend all my days off in front of a computer playing.
2. I've got 1 very good friend
3. I work in a kiosk at a beach to afford to keep my mc
4. I'm 17 and I *don't* drink/party
5. I live in Norway and considers myself an exemplitary viking
6. I dislike the USA and therefore want to be an exchange-student there (probably will be next year)
7. I'm very people-shy. If my mother has friends over I often go days without eating cous I don't wanna go downstairs and say hello
8. I often go to the woods to play with my home-made longbow (Can shoot damn far though) and lit fire on things (I control it)
9. I love nuts (the snacks, not "nuts" nuts)
10. I've drunk an avg of 1.5 liters of soda every day this vacation
11. I've been playing total war games ever since the son of one of my mothers friends brought me a pirate copy of Shogun: Total War (didn't know it was pirate copy, after all I was very young).
12. I like to stand around and just look big, cous I got big muscles :2thumbsup:
13. The only other activity I have apart from PC (except working out) is reading... ALOT of reading... :book:
14. I'm constantly tired, even though there is no medical explenation for it we've found so far (and I get plenty of sleep).
15. I used to date a goth/emo
16. in 6th grade I was bored and figured out I'd read the bible, so I sat down and read it for :elephant: and giggles.
That's all I can come up with now.
Despite all this, I've had several girlfriends and lost my virginity when I was 15 :laugh4:
I tried to get my Girlfriend interested, but she insisted she was going to try it without me helping her. For her first game she tried the Holy Roman Empire and tried to turtle. That was 5 months ago. Maybe one day she will try it again.
Spoiler Alert, click show to read:
Thank you, O vigilant moderator. I do appreciate the help. Hopefully there will be no more of that.
Enjoy the thread folks, I'm taking a break! :2thumbsup:
1. When I'm bored - like at the moment, since I'm between stable jobs - I drink a bit more than I should
2. My attention span when it comes to leisure activities is remarkably short
3. I make more of an effort to keep friendships going than many of my 'friends' do
4. Relating to #2, this explains why - in M:TW, RT:W and M2:TW so far - I've only ever completed one long campaign; on RTW with the Egyptians, before 1.3 decimated the install beyond recognition (or Uninstall-ation)
5. My taste in music is far better than yours and I'll argue that point until I'm blue in the face
6. I can't bring myself to intentionally kill an imposter 'Faction Heir', so he's single-handedly charging a rebel stack of 1000 troops repeatedly over a couple of decades in the hope that one of them will finally kill him
7. I dropped out of university because I was simultaneously getting over a bout of mild depression and finding the lectures I was going to very very dull
8. Despite my best efforts to 'turtle', I cannot sit still knowing that there's a rebel settlement just over there...
9. For one of the courses I failed at university, instead of attempting an answer - since I'd only attended 3 lectures - I wrote a piece of non-fiction entitled 'What I Did On My Holidays' and received '0' for the exam
10. I often find myself abusing the Jihad system as the Egyptians because I loathe losing soldiers. It's far better to have 3 full Jihadi stacks besieging a settlement that has 5 scared Peasants in than attack with merely 'Overwhelming Force' and risk losing a single man...
11. My biggest regret from university is not keeping a copy of my 'What I Did On My Holidays' essay, since it was one of the best things I'd written at the time
12. I once proudly demonstrated a fantastic tactical maneuver I'd pulled off to the friend who'd introduced me to S:TW . He took one look and said "A pincer. Well done." in a voice like sarcastic lead and I never mentioned my exploits again
13. I would rather disagree with a friend's political views solely for the purposes of having a good argument than agree with them and have nothing interesting to talk about
To those who hate/dislike the US
I would like to say that I am living on the West coast in Salem, Oregonand also finding great faults in my country. Outside the United States I am sure you all heard a lot of bad but nobody probably talks anything worth admiring.Spoiler Alert, click show to read:
The truth is that most, 70-80%, do not like the president or congress (The people who help make the laws) and believe that eventually the whole world is going to hell. Most Americans focus on everyday life, (I.E. Going to work, raising a family, enjoying your time off with loved ones or things you enjoy.) and not what the world is doing. I do feel that most Americans are getting dumber, I believe its because nobody is REQUIRED to learn or even think on a daily basis or figure out how to make tomorrow better for someone else that doesn't give them something in return. You ask an American what the think of this important topic or that topic and quite a lot of them will say "I don't know" or "I don't need to know that s***." I believe because of this we let the lawmakers do what they want.
I believe that America is going downhill. God makes us strong for a while, so we can help each other but when a nation/person who becomes strong, stays strong for a while - they become stagnant and don't evolve. If you look at history, almost every nation was strong for a while and they all lose it after a time. Don't believe meOur country has a bigger trade deficit and lose more money every year. The rich get more rich while people who work hard don't get any breaks. It used to be that one man could work while the wife stays home and you could still afford college for your kids and now you can't even afford to own a house with a two person income.Spoiler Alert, click show to read:
There are a lot of joys in America though, if you check the Patent office (international one if their is one) you would realise that 3/4 patents (Inventions) were created here. Our country created the United Nations and although flawed, it makes it so all the nations can talk out their problems and not jump right into war. Modern Thinking (although you cant see it now) mostly started here within the last century as far as Womens Equality and everyone is equal. What other nation do you have an area populated with SO MANY OTHER RACES. Try going to Vietnam as I mentioned above and see what I mean by them staring at a white person because they never seen one before in person in the backwater parts of the country. Although most people outside the US hate the US, they still enjoy the exports that we do such as movies, games, culture, clothing (although made in Taiwan) and music that we do produce.
Also, the US is actually necessary because we also, at our expence, pay for the FDA's research on drugs to cure deseases, give billions a year to aid other countries, assist (and mostly fail) in the worlds peace process, and so many other things that I would fill up this page with at this time. In America there is extreme beauty and people really do care about others almost as a whole.
What makes America really suck is that people like our president are everywhere, although not as big as the good people, those who would screw over you to make him feel better or richer. Those who believe that even knowing they are rich they need to be richer. Those who have abortions (although limited now) just as a form of birth control. Those who think War is good for business and don't realise WHAT war is or what it does where it takes place. Those who hate a Black Person for being black and those who find really sick ways of hurting the child next door. Those who work their workers on "pennies on the dollar" and strip their medical benefits just so they can put more money in the bank that they will never use.
As a whole, most people hate America because their country isn't as good. When I went to Vietnam, a lot of people just wanted me to hand them money and being a good person its kinda hard. I shown some pictures already and those are ACTUAL houses they live in in the background. What I haven't told you yet is that instead of TRYING to make their lives better, the people get drunk on rice wine daily and do the bare minimum. People need to realise that the US wasn't already built when we got off the boats. We had to work VERY HARD to make this nation strong and worth living in. If the people in Vietnam, Mexico, or other inferior countries would get off their butts and work TOGETHER (Either the people within a nation or the nations as a whole work together) like China is doing now. They could make their country great too. But instead everyone wants a quick fix and that also leads to the whole "I hate America" faze. Working is hard but anything worth having you have to work for.
Man, there's been a lot of people saying their shames I suppose I should say some of mine.
1. I don't have any friends.
2. I have never had a girlfriend.
3. I am a loser.
4. I spend far too many time playing computer games.
5. I spend far little time exercising.
6. I left school a couple of months ago without finishing it.
7. I eat way too much.
8. I am probably the most un-social person in the world.
They are my shames, there are more but they are the worst.
Xehh II, I'll bet theres at least a couple of those shames in most people here man. There's a couple in me mate. :shame:

4. Mine is due to money restraints now, I only have internet now because I am stealing it from the neighbors.
5. I work in a factory, thats my exercise but I will be walking to the store in a little bit
7. I used too, but now I had to really restrict my diet
8. No your not. As soon as you look in the mirror and realise that your worth being around and break your depression that day like I did, you should be fine after that. Like I said in my last post, the things in life worth having ARE NOT FREE, and I am not talking money, you have to work HARD for them.
Very interesting thread...It's nice to see how other folks view the game in general.
Here goes my game confessions.
I always try to marry faction heirs to other royalty.
I have played most factions thru to the end game, some taking longer than others.
I have just completed my first VH/VH campaign that I won.
I generally don't rush the other factions though I did on this campaign after I lost my capitol.:furious3: It still took forever to get rid of HRE (I was playing as Venice.)
I love to look up the quotes from the game on the internet and have expanded my reading of the Middle Ages.
I seldom post but read quite a bit of the advice given.
Personal notes...
I am probably older than most , (46). Married for 23 years. My wife puts up with my gaming as she plays Pogo so it's a nice tradeoff.
I use gaming as a nice distraction from the real world. I tend toward stategy games as I suck at FPS games.:embarassed:
I recently left a company that I started and am taking time off to take stock of my life. If you think the AI in this game backstabs you, go into business for yourself.:smg:
Most of my friends are my lifelong friends though we don't get together as much as we should.
I don't play FPS games with my boys (both in college now) as they love to school their old man.
Budwise... you BAD MAN, I just hope you aren't living next to me. :scared:Quote:

My apologies, but I have to either moderate this thread or watch it get locked. I'm sure you understand. I do hope you continue to enjoy this thread.
I do wish to indicate that I'm not as draconian as askthepizzaguy makes me appear ~;)
Unfortunately, the fact is that this is a M2TW discussion forum, and I can only bend the rules so far for this thread.
I'm happy to see discussion and get-to-know-you posts by members, as that can be in some way related to the game and this community.
US-world relations, however, is stretching things a bit too much

Anyway, all you geek and nerds, you make this forum one of the best I've ever visited... Always civil and useful (and funny also..)
To remain on the topic, i have some shames of myself :
1/ I work in law enforcement (Yes I'm a pig and i like it)
2/ I missed out on some parties with friends to play M2TW
3/ I sometimes happily send my wife out witth friends to be able to play M2TW late at night...
4/ I never played online, knowing that I can only win against the AI...
and they are the least...
My shame is that I secretly really like America and Americans even though I probably shouldn't.
Other than that, I have lots of friends, many, many girlfriends (the last one even didn't mind me playing M2TW for 5 hours at a stretch - should've kept her), a good fast car, a job that pays 6 figures and is largely intellectually stimulating and challenging and an obsession with skiing.
However, I'm pretty sure I haven't managed to patch to 1.2 correctly, and this troubles me.
EDIT: And I am scared to play online in case my ass gets handed to me.

I quickly get fed-up with the PvP expliots that evolve with multiplayer games. I used to play STW battles on-line but it quickly evolved into a farce where victory depended on a Rock-Paper-Scissors scenario dependant on which expliots you and your opponent happened to choose. The only certain way to lose being to select some sort of balanced army.
Armies usually consisted of Massed-High-Honour-Peasants, Massed-Low-Honour-Monks, Massed-Heavy-Cavalry or Massed-Spearmen and victory or defeat was more or less certain as soon as you saw what your opponent was using.
I can only remember two or three games which were worth playing.
@Didz I'm with you on that point...
I don't have the time to gain enough experience online to be something else than a noob, and kowing full well than on most MP sites, a noob is cannon-fodder... No respect at all... No challenge...
Like ML King, I had a dream...
I've seen a MP site where players respected each other enough to teach them their best techniques and thus improve the quality of their opponents and therfore the challenge to be had...
But I know it is just a dream and pardon me if it seems derogatory but I think that most PvP players or "exploiters" (such as Didz described) suffer from an inferiority complex from RL and the only way to cope with it is thru bashing other online players...
So until my dream commes true, I will keep away from such communities and without any regret...
Okay then, shames...
1. Well, I'm a college student. Not much shame in that.
2. The shame (and that's arguable) is that I'm a Resident Advisor. That's right, go ahead and pelt me with garbage. I serve with the noble few whose job it is to break up parties, mediate roommate disputes, and make colorful door decorations out of construction paper. The last part is my favorite! [/sarcasm]
3. I play primarily as Catholics because I can't figure out a way to victory other than brute pummeling from heavy infantry.
4. I hate cavalry archers because of this. I hated the4m in the last game, and find them even more annoying in this one, thanks to their shooting circle.
5. I also never play online, and again, it's because I fear pwnage.
6. I'm a big nerd when it comes to the American Civil War, and have actually
7. I feel kind of bad about making $8.50/hr to sit at a desk and do nothing but watch movies and look at the internet all day, but my school is paying me to do it. I just feel bad because my friends work considerably-harder jobs with the Facilities department for the exact same pay.
8. I met the Timurids for the first time yesterday, and it, uh, didn't go so well.
9. I, too, describe my travails in Medieval to people who have no idea what the hell I'm talking about, and whether or not a particular offensive was successful can totally ruin my day. But my friends are amazing, and put up with me anyway.
10. I don't currently have a girlfriend, but there does seem to be a mutual interest with this girl, so we'll see where that goes. [Insert bad pun about "getting back in the saddle" here]
That's about it, I think.
Spoiler Alert, click show to read:
Great post.
Say, would you like some tips on dealing with the Mongol/Timurid invasion?
I am regarded somewhat as one of the foremost experts of ultra-aggressive blitz style warfare on this forum, having captured 50 regions by turn 16 with the Holy Roman Empire, all 106 regions with France and England by turn 58, and victory Egypt by turn 35.
I even did a Russian blitz campaign. 50 regions by turn 45 (If you've ever played Russia, you know that is bordering on the impossible)
I can help you beat those annoying little pests, if you'd like some advice.
I can't believe this thread has 120 posts.
Don't sweat being an RA. You are the responsible adult that some of fools need in college. Insofar as not having as much work as some of your friends, don't sweat that either. Some people don't have the "wherewithall" to lay down the rules. Some people can't handle being the bad guy. Really, you are keeping things safe.
My nephew was an RA for a couple of years, and mostly it was putting up with the clowns who have no responsibility. The year after he left, some fool started a fire in the hallway. It was a six story dorm so you can imagine the safety concerns. Luckily, it was put out quickly.
I forgot to mention that no one listens to me about my game either before. I just shuffle into my own little world where I can either be Saint or Sinner.
I have had 4 kings in my last game that had the title of Saint (before my Vh/Vh victory. ) Anyone else try to do that regularly?
Spoiler Alert, click show to read:
I have, but my accomplishment is tainted. I can get every single general "the saint" because I have the unmodified original version of the game. You simply join/leave/join a crusade until you have "the saint". Of course, anyone who is not an uber dread general can get the saint quite easily by doing a crusade, winning the crusade, and releasing prisoners the whole time.
For orthodox and Muslim factions, it's not so easy. You basically release until you are dead from old age.

can't do the evil thing because i feel bad. i dig role playing too.
i mostly skate and play drums
i love this game but it's pretty annoying.
i love the scotts.
i usually play online with my best friend who's chronically ill
shames? i autocalc and lurk way too much, but I also love it when I make some sick tactical routs.
I still haven't figured out how to modify posts. I don't know if you can.
i'll try for "life history"
1. I'm very radical, viewing IRL Muslin, Christian religion as equally stupid. However, when I play M2 I can't play Muslim factions and I always join crusades. For some reason the ideal of a chivalric Christian factions makes me happy.
2. I role play M2 when i'm bored. I like to imagine liberating a captured town, inspiring my troops to fight, and becoming the greatest brave commander.
3. I'm writing this from my work where I make a good $19 an hour.
4. I love using siege equipment because I think it's saving troops' lives.
5. I get so immersed in the game I'll send my general out as the rear guard to protect fleeing troops. When he dies, i'm stoked. I love the immersion
6. I hate knowing I grew up poor but things turned around, but I'd rather live making music and making myself happy than getting a big job that could potentially help others.
7. I pissed in a water bottle once while play M2 so I wouldn't have to go to the bathroom. Ack.

I think this thread is losing some steam. Well, even knowing I didn't start it I did keep it going for some time. Can anyone else summit a picture of ANYthing of their life at all. I did.
I will let it die when it is time for it to die... but not without some CPRQuote:

picture of my life
Ok! here's my list
1. I'm far too old to be playing games (e.g. 52), or so I'm told.
2. I am a freelance government consultant, which basically means I only need to work 6 months a year. If I put myself out I could probably be rich, but I can't be bothered with the hassle.
3. I'd rather play games than work.
4. I frequently become so immersed in a game that I forget what time it is until I hear the morning bird song outside the window.
5. I spend most of my day on the computer and frequently forget what day it actually is. I neglected to collect my son for his weekend with me one Friday because I thought it was Wednesday.
6. My ex-wife cited my obsession with computer games as the main reason for the breakdown of our marriage. (It wasn't really...in fact escaping into computer games was the way I coped with the fact that I knew she didn't care about me anymore.)
7. As per 6 above I tend to use computer games as a means to distract me from reality.
8. I'm a bit of history nerd, and will happily bore the pants off of anyone willing to listen to my lifetime of accumulated historical trivia.
9. I'm also a control freak, and hate it when things become chaotic. I particularly hate not being able to find things and something not being where it is supposed to be is guarantee'd to drive me into a rage. This is a particular problem now I need reading glasses which are always going missing.
10. I live alone....probably because I found it impossible to choose between the two women I was closest to, though I suspect I have burned both my options in that respect now, although I still remain friends with both, and I can't be bothered to go through the emotional trauma of trying to sort it out, even though it costs me a fortune in birthday and christmas presents. One of these is my ex-wife who still manages to manipulate me when she wants to.
11. I honestly believe that playing strategy games is good experience for real life Project Managers and executives, and favour people with those hobbies when interviewing candidates for project roles.
12. My 14 year old son is better at MTW2 than I am, in fact he's better at most computer games than I am.
13. Its now 2pm and I'm sitting here writing this still in pajama's. I think the local postwoman assumes I am a nightworker because I always seem to answer my door in my dressing gown.
14. I get quite obsessive about relatively trivial issues particularly if they are history related and find it hard to walk away from a debate. My eldest son claims I'm a forum troll.
15. I don't particularly like myself, and never have done, and so I tend to assume that nobody else would be that stupid either which means I have quite a small circle of friends and naturally assume that all my relationships will not last very long.
16. I believe that caring too much about anything makes you vulnerable and so I try not to care too much about anything. I never clean my car and avoid becoming overly proud of anything. However, I was quite proud of my 20/20 vision (I used to be able to paint the iris in the eyes of my 30mm wargame figures and every button on their gaiters) which is probably why my eyesight is failing.
17. I play World of Warcraft, and my main character is a female warlock.
Just out of curiousity, what was the longest thread ever created? Is this one even close?
You sir, just lost the internet!Quote:

Looking at the bottom of the Citadels page, you can sort all the threads by this or that and I sorted them out from the beginning and ranked them by replys. There are some with more but I felt that this was the actual first thread worth counting because some were "Whats this going to be like when M2TW comes out" or I think Moderator created and possibly had a sticky at some time.
Also, I didn't see a "Babes" post anywhere.
EDIT: Never mind, I found it. https://forums.totalwar.org/vb/showt...t=43728&page=8
Ehhhhhhhh, if you have a girlfriend whos good to you, you don't need it.
Here's my Simpsons avatar. It looks a lot like me.
Sorry, don't have any recent photos.
Of course, I am willing to bet most of you look like this too.

Yesterday my internet was off (Neighbors weren't home and their router went down.) and I was having major Guild Withdraws. After actually playing M2TW, I realized that I didn't mark any shames so here are the shames of my life.
- My girlfriend cares deeply for me but I think she cares for her exhusband (yes, the ahole with the knife who is in prison right now) more and plans to go back to him when he gets home.
- The reason I didn't go out with the girl at work thats hella hot is that I am a sucker to just stay and be committed. I will stay no matter how bad something gets instead of leaving and taking a "risk" in relationships. Not so much with anything else, just relationships.
- Saying no to that girl in Vietnam was the hardest thing that I could ever do. (Please see #2) Like I said she has HIV and she just found out after I came back but I never in my whole life wanted a girl more to take to the room before. For the rest of the trip, when my girlfriend and I did something, my mind was elsewhere.
- M2TW sometimes is too much work to play so I often just read threads here just to get my fix.
- I believe that the "Full Multiplayer Campaign" mode would never be played because nobody plays online due to the fear of losing, so how is it better to lose an EMPIRE compared to just a battle?
- The reason why I started to play as England is that they are the most "evil" of the factions. Throughout history they have had a foothold here or a conquest there. Now that I can play as the rebels, I have moved on to them. I am a good person throughout my life so in games, I want to be purely evil (Still don't randomly kill people in GTA due to a conscious.) IN this game though my conscious gets in the way but in a WWII shooter, I have to be the Nazis.
- I often wonder if the archers in M2TW or any TW game in general are neutered down compared to real life. I feel they don't get the kills they deserve.
- My biggest fear in life right now is that my girlfriends "blossoming" young 14 year old daughter will come to my room (Sometimes my girlfriend wants to sleep alone) and say Do this/me or I scream rape or something of that sorts. My girlfriends mom came on to me one day and that was just too much, I haven't talked to her since nor has she came to me. She did tell my girlfriend that she should leave me which upsets the hell out of me.
- I truly believe NO MAN gets as much sex as he wants. Except for gays and thats why us breeders hate them. (Kidding, relax on that one.)
- I am currently mad at my girlfriend because she was showing off the house to the skanky people she works with and she completely talked down to me. At work when she wasn't popular (People used to just ignore her, I though she was just the only black girl we had a work) I took her in and have her meet my friends, made her feel good. BUT, when my friends found new jobs and she became friends with EVERYONE at work due to me, she now ignores my ass half the time. Really pisses me off and I am thinking about that girl at work more and more because its too much right now.
- I am being peer pressured by EVERYONE at work to go with the younger girl, its gotten so bad that I don't talk to anyone anymore and the sad thing is is that there is nobody my age anymore and I am being pushed by 40 year olds.
don't blame yourself, this is merely badluck on your part and a (shame) on hers. i too, had made a wrong (first) choice  and i just wanted to shoot myself :rifle: , glad that it was over but i havent going out (with anyone) since.
if only life is like MTW2, can send unwanted princess/diplomat/assassins/generals into depleted boat and get them sank by the pirates. :sneaky:
Everything is going better today. Thats whats hard about a rollercoaster relationship is the ups and downs.
Anyways, congradulations Pizzaguy. This is the six highest post on views of all time on this board. I bet when you started it you weren't expecting it. I bet you were just trying to kill a few minutes of time waiting for a reply to something else.

Update: I am about to start a Scottish thread for Lands to Conquer.
This thread just gets more and more interesting.
In this thread, people laying it all bare. Decidedly unnerving but brutally honest.
So my turn?
1. I mostly play on E/E. I hate losing troops and I am an average gamer so hey I can live with it if the AI can. I have tried a couple of times on M/M on RTW but usually as the Romans so it is not that much harder.
2. Play online? Yeah well that will never happen (see above). I have never used horse archers nor any Muslim or Orthodox faction and only played a couple of custom battles with Egypt to see what everyone (Mithrandir) was on about the camels. I lost but thankfully some camels escaped.
3. I played Grand Turismo 4 (my first car racing simulator) for hours and got more and more frustrated with not winning much until my mate who has finished all the GT's and Forza told me that I was pushing the handbreak button not the break to try and get around the corners. It you could have been a fly on the wall to see him laugh and my tantrum. :wall:
4. I have a girlfriend that I think the world of and should probably propose to but I am a big chicken. My parents split when I was seven and a few of my friends are now going through divorces and some of those are ugly.
5. I secretly like her (my gf)'s cat. It is a pain in the proverbial but man is has some personality (and personality goes a long way). I hate other cats. Am I catist?
6. I do not like Seinfeld. I never got the humour as they just seemed to discuss stuff that you just get over and would normally not sweat about. Cosmo Kramer was funny though.
7. I love Greys Anatomy and Desperate housewives as the better half sits down and watches them religioulsy and I can sneak off to a bit of world domination.
8. Playing San Andreas my fav thing to do was pick you the girlfriend then head over to the airport, take off and jump out. Now my guy had a parachutte - she did not.
9. I would never consider dothingthis to my gf. She is afraid of flying.
My 2c
Gahh, I have a problem with commitment. I only post once or twice in any single thread, then I just lose interest... So I wonder what will happen when I finally leave for the outside world. I'm currently just a polytechnic student
More stuff about Chinese guy(me <--- see my avatar picture?) who is extremely different from most chinese(other chinese)
.I am a master horse archer user, thx to playing the Turks frequntly. I have beaten a full stack of Hungarian troops(feudal knights and all) with just 6 elite Turkomans. (thx to AI stupidity)
.I hate MP. I have never played a MTW2 or any other startegy game for that matter online.
.I have successfully modded new elephants for the Turks and pride myself over it though most may call it amateurish.
Spoiler Alert, click show to read:
.I love to read topics that spark flame wars just to see people calling each other racist, gays and whatnot.
.I love medieval history yet I can't remember a darn thing about it.
.I think most chinese love tofu, I hate the stuff.
.I would like to see if there are any other Asians in this forums(not necessarily, I'm actually Malaysian born chinese..check the map if you dont know where Malaysia is:shame: )
.I think I have given away too much information about myself:sweatdrop:

More secret shames:
1. In spite of being nicknamed askthepizzaguy, I am ranked 1,438th in this forum alphabetically.
2. I cut my own hair because I am too poor to afford haircuts.
3. However, when I do get haircuts, I still tip the person doing the cutting, because I have worked for tips before and I know how much it sucks. I'm actually not ashamed of that, but I thought I would mention it, so any cheap bastards out there would read it and learn something.
4. I am currently between jobs.
5. My dream career is to become a teacher.
6. I used to have a blog where I discussed politics, as if anyone cared to hear my opinion. And religion. And philosophy.
7. I have an I.Q. of 144 but I was a C and D student because I don't pay attention and can't remember shit.
8. Since entering college, I have become an A student. I try really hard to pay attention and I prefer studying alone at my own pace.
9. Someday I hope to write a book. Pathetic, huh? As if there aren't enough books out there already.
10. I foolishly believe in not settling for anything less than true love.
11. I don't do well in crowds of people.
12. I actually care if people get my jokes.
13. As I am writing this, I am wearing nothing more than what I was born in, minus the goo.
14. Because it is comfortable, dangit. At least I stay indoors.
15. No jokes about how I would do better in crowds of people if I wore clothes. I wear clothes when I go outside. Now shaddup already.
16. And I wear clothes when playing M2TW. And other various tasks.
17. I haven't bought new clothes in over two years.
18. I'm a lumberjack and I'm ok. I sleep all night and I work all day.
19. I am Mork from Ork. Nanu Nanu.
20. I am mad as hell, and I'm not going to take this anymore.
21. I am the champions, my friend.
22. I am eggman, I am the walrus.
23. I am what I am, and that's all that I am.
24. I am the only son of an only child of an only child. I am the last of my clan.
25. I am whatever you say I am. If I wasn't, then why would they say I am.
26. I am old enough to know better, but too young to care.
27. I have advanced delusional schizophrenia with involuntary narcissistic rage.
28. The last time I had a girlfriend was over a year and a half ago.
29. I haven't seen a dentist since 1990 because I am poor.
30. I wish someone would smash into my car so I would be able to use the insurance money to pay it off.
31. My credit rating is terrible
32. I once had the nickname "Can't get right" when I worked in construction, and later as a dishwasher.
33. That's from the movie "Life". I didn't pick it.
34. This list is padded.
35. See?
36. More blatant padding.
37. I don't have a middle name.
38. I skipped number 43.
39. I don't drink, smoke, do drugs, and apparently, I don't have sex either.
40. I am a fan of Star Trek.
41. I think Yeardley Smith has a sexy voice.
42. I couldn't care less about Paris Hilton, Britney Spears, or Lindsay Lohan.
44. I wish I could be an assistant moderator on this forum.
45. I prefer to let the woman make the first move because I am too shy.
46. But I'm still a big, tough, brutish bloodthirsty conqueror in this game. If you doubt it, I will feed you your own entrails and then impale you lengthwise upon a stake, while forcing you to listen to K-Fed's rap song. You will consider the immolation that follows to be a relief, and will welcome sweet, sweet death.
47. I am afflicted with the curse of the white male. If you don't know what that is, I'll get you a ruler.
48. I have the balls to make that public knowledge.
49. I'm running out of shames to share.
50. I couldn't think of a joke good enough to put here.
51. I posted this just to be post number 150 on my own thread.
(see previous post)

"...and I do da cha-cha like a sissy girl. Me like-ah do da cha-cha."
Yeah, good for you. I don't know if I said this earlier but my girlfriend sold her ex-husbands truck we have been SAVING for him. I told her to sell it and get rid of it a long time ago but now at least I don't have to see it, unless I go outside. The next door neighbor bought it. Well, at least its gone and I can finally spend a paycheck on myself for once and this means that the houses morgage will be paid for the next 5 months at least. The truck went for 7000 dollars.
Besides that, my girlfriend is sleeping with her kids tonight (asian culture) and shes a little annoyed because I was mad at her so I will let it go. Besides that, another shame is that even know I like the other girl at work, I don't have the heart to even see if its an option right now because of my total commitment to not cheating.
I'm tired so I should go to bed.
EDIT: I am not even playing M2TW right now so I will probably respond less for a while. I bought the game Farcry a while ago and installed it to watch it sit. I finally fired it up and I am enjoying it so its a good break for me from M2TW for at least two weeks. Then, I will go back to my Rebel Campaign.
Your 151, kinda funny isn't it.Quote:

:beam:
I'm very tired but I have been sleeping on and off since 4pm and although I go to work at 5:30 am I should be fine.
Its kinda funny how I made your thread my own personal public journal and how you and I are the major regulars on your board. I am happy that some people followed you but I kinda was hoping for more. Anyways, I think this thread could make it with the most views out of all of them.
I believe there is a thread in the entrance hall with 116 pages. One in the frontroom has over 130 pages. We have 6 so far.
Close, though.
:2thumbsup:
Hmm..this thread 6 pages, frontroom thread 130 pages...very close...
That's nothing. I just started a new thread to commemorate the 4000th M2TW: Singleplayer thread.Quote:
