I just heard the other Idaho senator is named...
Mike Crapo
Oh my.
CR
At least the Idaho voters knew what they were getting.Quote:

Hell his wife may not be comepletely ignorant of it either. Quite a few women greatly enjoy watching their men get sodomized by another man. :inquisitive:
Well, Mrs. Corleone and I have an exclusivity policy that excludes members of the opposite sex, members of the same sex, members of the bovine family.... nothing is on the table. Works just fine for the two of us. If you find some lady love that's willing to let you play catcher for Brucey, more power to you.Quote:

Besides, this sounds like the classic old-school scenario, closeted gay man strikes out at other homos, marries, has kids, gets it on the side in the stupidest, riskiest way possible. It's all very 1950s.
Maybe. But there are more roads to the same results than a self loathing closet case.
You must realize that many people are of the opinion that while sex=great, sex+danger=mega greatness (lets do it right now). :whip: Craig may just love the thrill of indulging his little "pass time" in public places where he can get caught more than the actual "pass time" itself.Quote:

How is this guy, a U.S. Senator, going to satisfactorily plead that he didn't understand the nature of the charges against him, especially when he had 6 weeks between the arrest and the plea to consider and seek legal counsel? :dizzy2:
That's the problem with so-called 'public service'. It's not. It's all about 'me'.
Have a heart Don. The poor man is resorting to dumpster diving for sex now that pages and interns are taboo. :laugh4:
This whole mess doesn't reflect well on Craig's character (or lack thereof).
Indeed. I think I might actually be more put off by his "I'm resigning... psyche!" routine than the original scandal itself. It's disturbing to see how desperately politicians want to cling to their power- he's been in office almost 30yrs hasn't he? Far too long regardless of any sex scandals. :yes:Quote:

After you have been though all of that, how can you NOT believe that you are special and annointed for some greater purpose. All the hoopla is practically guaranteed to give you the beginnings of some kind of messianic complex. From there it is only a short step to accepting that some sacrifices have to be made to preserve the SPECIAL leadership that you bring to the office. We don't even have somebody along in the limo whispering sic transit gloria munde.
Which is why, arguably, we shouldn't have elections but should sentence people to office. We'd probably be better governed if the persons put in office hated the very thought of being there, loathed the idea of having to set aside their own lives to govern, but accepted it the way most of us accept jury duty.
