i've installed the mod pack but the spoils of war mod doesn't seem to work - any ideas?
edit: sorry just realised the captured camp trait is the spoils of war

Just tryed to install your super 'rtw pack' right on 1.1+1.2 and encountered ctd on start with smth like "error in *. txt ... couldn`t find ... officer... for unit... first cohort i"
please check aquilifer set up for 'rtw pack'

You're not using the trivial script... (When did this, I thought everyone used it. Apparently not.)
You can either reactivate the trivial script or change the edu manually.
To change the EDU:
Go to your EB folder and search for sp game edu backup. Copy the edu located there and paste it in EB folder (or was it the EB/Data folder?) If an overwrite promp appears you did it right. :beam:
Are you using the original EB shortcuts? Or did you made another/ changed the target line? Because if the later you can use the trivial script just by restoring the original target line. If the former. I'm not sure.
have you thought of including more minimods around in another release? like realistic movement, hoplitai density, and light_spear fix?
That spear fix looks interesting... and quite important. Heh... The others. What's the hoplitai density mod?. I have mixed feelings about realistic movements though.
The spear fix seems doable but I cannot say a date yet. Perhaps. :sweatdrop:
In fact, I would create a monthly turns system namely 12 turn for year and only one winter month as it is not realistic and I was too scared to script for nearly 10.000 turns that's why I changed movement points :laugh4:
As you know aging is hardcoded with winter turn, and also you have to change whole reforms in EBBS :dizzy2:
Also I do not know ancient Greek and Persian other celtic etc. months names.
Lz3, there's a problem with the expiration of Senate Office terms. I've had "Censors" and "Consuls" lasting for as much as three years, and there's no way to tell exactly when they'll step down, leading to unrealistic term extensions.

yes there is but it will be torture to adapt each mod for BI.
Just imagine half of my mods are guaranteed to CTD if you play them with BI.

I have encountered a problem and I would really appreciate it if someone could help me out.
I have RTW: gold and RTW: alexander installed, both via STEAM.
I downloaded EB 1.1 and EB 1.2 and the fixes for 1.2, installed them to my RTW: gold folder and changed the launch options on RTW: gold by adding "-mod:eb -show_err" (thank you mk56).
Then I launched the game via steam and EB worked perfectly (Best mod ever made for any game imo, thank you so much for this fantastic mod EB team.)
After finishing a campaign I wanted to try another campaign, this time with the EB 1.2 Mini mod pack and alexander.exe.
I downloaded Alx_pack3.exe and installed it to where I have my EB folder, "E:\Steam\SteamApps\common\rome total war gold".
Then I canged the launch options again in steam for RTW: gold, this time to "-mod:eb -show_err -nm -noalexander" (thanks to BeeSting).
This is where my problems begin, due to my own mistakes and misunderstandings.
When I try to launch the game now like before I get this; Generic Error: "DATABASE_TABLE error found max records exceeded from file eb/data/desc_model_battle.txt" after 2-3 seconds of having the EB launch screen background up (now with "aleXander" written on it in the bottom middle).
Then I thought maybe im supposed to change the launch option on my RTW: alexander shortcut in steam now instead of the RTW: gold shortcut.
So I cange the launch option of RTW: alexander by adding "-mod:eb -show_err -nm -noalexander" and try to launch it. What happned now was that I got the RTW:gold launch background and it freezes there for a while then I get this message; "Failed to read censored word dictionary file: data//chat_filter.san"
If anyone could help me out I would really appreciate it, thank you.
Hey guys. First of all i'd Like to send my thanks to ||Lz3|| for this fantastic mod pack, and say that it has really breathed new life into EB for me.
I do have a bit of a minor problem with the Phalanx mod however. Using Alex.exe is it possible to get those updated animations along with the new stats? My Hoplites are still fighting and moving the way they used to before the Phalanx fix.
Furthermore i've thought about getting Fanatic's original Phalanx Mod but its unavailable.
So again, is there anyway i can get my Alex.exe phalanxes to maintain that awesome solid formation and fighting behavior?

I'm quite new to EB and RTW in general. I've installed the 1.2 Mimi Mod Pack. I'm trying to understand how to use the Darth formations or the other formations that have been added. Are they automatically used? How can I choose one from the other?

Sorry if this is a dumb question, I have the latest Minimod Pack installed but don't seem to be getting all of the older Romani skins from the Darth_Stalin pack- The Marian Cohorts and Imperial Praetorians look great, but the Evocata and Imperial Cohorts are still those oversized looking ones that EB 1.0 (I think, or maybe 1.1?) switched to. Was it supposed to chage them all back to the old skins?
I also ended up just dragging and dropping the "hoplite density" mod into my EB install after having the modpack installed, anyone know if that could have somehow reverted the skins back to the new ones? Not really sure what's stored where other than unit stats when it comes to modding, sorry for the noob question...
Also, does the Giant Tree fix work with this pack?

Never mind my above post, the mod pack roman skins work fine, it was my own terrible (and forgotten when I posted) job of trying to add another mod in that ruined everything!

I'm new to EB and I'm trying to figure out the exact/correct way to install this from scratch. Here is what I think you should do.
1)I install RTW gold to a folder: For example lets say I install it in a folder named RTW.
2)Then I install Alex into the folder named RTW.
3)Install 1.1 to the folder named RTW.
4)Install 1.2 to the folder named RTW.
Here is where it gets a little confusing. I think it is the following.
5)Extract EB1.2 ALL 3 fixes to RTW/EB/Data folder.
6)Then I download your alex.exe version pack.
7)I install that pack to the folder named RTW.
8)I then download and extract the custom EB fix to the RTW/EB/Data folder.
Questions:
1)Was that correct, now I play the game? Or is there something I'm forgetting?
2)I was confused by the whole sprites fix and custom fix section. I read that your pack contains all fixes, so do we or don't we need to download and extract them?
3)If I only play the Romans, I could to that faction fix (in your known limitations section) manually for Rome, and the victory conditions mod would still work for the AI?
4)The city mod and Phalanx mod are not part of your mod and are optional like the RS-textures and Naval-add-on are? For the option mods, they will all work with with your mod pack?
5)I can see why 3 of them are optional, but why was the Phalanx mod? Why not make it part of your pack? Imo, only the city mod should be optional.
6)Is this a pretty stable version, all the mods work well together?
7)How should I launch the game, with trivial script or which specific shortcut? Keep in mind that I think the shortcuts that the EB1.1 and EB1.2 intaller installs, have the wrong target line. So do I have to make a change to a target line? Or just use the trivial script (single player) shortcut?
8)I'm confused, :(. Do I do something with an EDU? I keep reading about it in other posts.

This works with the trivial script? I read that the TS "repairs" the edu when you start the game.
But great minimod compilation! Really adding a lot of depth! One thumb up (the other one is broken)
