Speaking of RP, please note that Nero is a hot-head and very loyal to his legion :beam:

haha have fun with that ;)
dammit! Cicero's pessimistic nature makes it impossible for me to agree on or push forward a suggestion for an invasion of Sicilia and war against Carthage!
maybe we shoud change the rules into: "Roma can only attack Carthage outside sicily, if the roman navy defeated carthage 3 times, or blocked a carthaginian port for at least 4 turns at a stretch.
You can propose CA then. It's the only way.
As far as I know, Asina intended to propose a rather large number of CA's during this council session, but he didn't tell me anything else
Can a tribunus propose CA's?
that's not necessary, a tribunus can propose a proposal to a legatus
Lol...
Tribunus can propose his proposal to Legatus who will propose that proposal as his proposal to the Senate?! :laugh4:
you got it :laugh4:
The only time I have ever paid attention to my traits is the very beginning when I signed up, when I wrote my background story.
nice to see some variation in the polls this time.
Yeah, really. Even though I didn't vote in the first two, they were all unanimous on everything. This game is really fun.
Thanks^^ I am glad you guys are enjoying this. I was in fear that due to the slow start of the Romani that this game would crash and burn. I hope it turns out great fun, and with more members!
that seems rather strange (I can't find a better word to use here gah). AFAIK, the garrison of Massilia is rather large, and we might need a to send an equally large army (which I don't think the dictator wants to, unless the situation is RPed as an event, sort of like Massilia being captured by Gauls and the Greeks there request Roman help); unless you mean for the battle to be auto-winned by the small army, and we establish a client state, though I think it would be better without the regional army, we have a shortage of money almost every turn when I was CoL, and trying to recruit garrisons/legions.Quote:
OOC: This requires obviously attacking and defeating the city, and installing a type 4 government. That makes it an allied city, and we make a regional army to serve as the Massilian army. The attack can be auto resolved and off the books, so it doesnt look like an attack. It's just a good way to ally a player with a free city.
If client kingdom is established it can not have it's own army. Provincial dictator have it's army but not client kings because they are non playable.
This is the reason I don't like client kingdoms in WotB(although we have one but it is treated as if the king is just another governor).
Wasnt massila essentially a client kindgom until Caesar took it? I remember reading that somwhere...
Anyways. I think it would be great roleplaying if the legions built forts every time they rested in enemy territory. Like they did in RL. Thoughts?
Yah, Mooks i think that is a good idea. It's what i do whenever i play a campaign
This can be done in EB since forts don't cost you anything. But if forts would cost something then before you can build a fort you should ask permission from Consul.
It wouldnt be like a client state, just a normal alliance beneficial to both sides-its just that cant be done with Eleutheroi cities in EB, so a type 4 government is the only way to do it.
Two units of levy hoplites and an Akontistai wouldnt hurt our economy. We can always add a Rorrarii unit as well if it's in trouble, to show Rome donates help to its allies. The same would apply to Mediolanium and PAtavium over time, though it be more realistic to take over those cities and garrison them with a legion between them until they calm down.
ya well no doubt taking Mediolanium will require two legions, and then 1 will have to stay to watch our northern border, then our other 2 will have new orders handed out. After voting closes, ill have Blasio relay the Dictators orders very detailed for all three legions(Edict 3.1 is a sure thing so we can discuss that now)
All done
I have a question. What are the requires for receiving the Civic Crown?
I just got back from the Curia, and it seems that Cotta somehow received the crown for risking his life to save Asina's (and failed). I must not have the whole story, because that makes no sense. The civic crown was for saving a romans life or holding the against extreme odds. The wiki has a fairly simple expanation of the civic crown.
