Such an ignorant, position to state. You come from the view that the only reason people do things is for money. How wrong you are.Quote:
And you're right Crazed Rabbit. I don't know how people can still think Socialism is a good thing to put into practice. If we have no motivation, why bother with anything? Socialism is still hurting Russia.
Why else do people work hard if not for reward?Quote:

Why do you think the communities living in the amazon rainforest work?
Because they have no vision of any greater existance, no innovation or invention. They have pretty much everything that they know of, so why want more? Unfortunately our world is not isolated like theirs is.
so true (was talking about JAG). the reward doesnt always have to be money. it can be power, love, selfconfidence, trust. in my mothers tribe, no one uses money. one man fishes and trades his fish for milk. one man does what the other man cant. this way everbody works for everybody. the teachers teacches everones child. the women look after everyones baby. the hunters hunt for everyone in the tribe etc
ahahahahah, oh no, you are joking right? Oh dear.. :laugh:Quote:

I even think that are more "what you'd call poor" Capitalistic (I do hope this is a word) countrys then wealthy ones. So it's not really a good argument.
Btw: what are you meaning with socialism? you almost act like it is utopic communism. what is your defenition of socialism?
no they are just happy with what they get. it isnt only the amazon system but it goes for other (african and native american) tribes too.Quote:

No it's not a word in the context you're using it. Capitalist is both adjective and noun and would do in this usage. In any case that was never my argument anyway. I don't know where you dug that one from.Quote:

That's what I said.Quote:

wel that was abouit someone elses post abot that socialist country wich would've been verry poor.
I'm not English and capitalistic was the best I "word" could think of.
it's difficult to debate the same at two topics.
I've got a nickname for you too. You might think my name here is somehow at odds with my views, but you're wrong. You're name isn't very accurate either, but I think you're only about one letter off.Quote:

Why are we debating socialism? It doesn't work for social groups above the tribe. We know that. We have proven that. So why are we still debating? The wisdom of a 19 year old who believes he knows everything there is to know about the world notwithstanding.
Anyway, is Proletariat going to give us all official nicknames?
Azi
You are a bit incorrect by judging that way.And how do you know that that 19 year old person consider him to konw everything,BTW how old are you?Quote:

Perhaps the condesending tone that infuses every note he makes? No matter if knows a whit about the subject at hand or not (like the Amazon tribes for example). And I don't try to piss people off by showing how smrt I am. I know I'm only 22, and I can't possibly know everything. (I know JAGs' age from his profile, and you can look up mine on my profile too.)Quote:

Or
"ahahahahah, oh no, you are joking right? Oh dear.." Which my be the most insulting thing I have ever seen back here.
Maybe I am incorrect judging that way. But then, age is used the world over as a judge of maturity. We all know JAG is immature. I just pointed out why.
Azi
Sorry, but in our country that age is 18.At 18 some are sent to Chechnya.
Being a conservative here means you are odd, a weirdo. ~:) The conservative Christian Democratic Party have a hard time manage to get over 4% of the votes. The commies get more votes than the conservatives.Quote:

I want real solidarity where noone is forcing people to pay for unemployed, starving and so on. So I can say I stand for radicaly lower taxes.
I love capitalism btw ~D The most effective way of getting your country rich and acheeve high tecnology.
I am eager to hold on to traditions and my culture. That said, I am not at all happy at all these multiculti crap the massive immegration means. These views makes people think that I am a rascist/nazi but it´s completely wrong.
I supported the war in Iraq. Hard punishment for criminals. Death-penalty.
I think abortion shall be ilegal if there wasn´t a rapist that caused the pregnancy or the womans life is in danger.
I visit swedish political forums every day and I know that it may not seem I know much, or think much, due to my rather poor english, but I assure you I am very interested in politics and I love to discuss allmost everything. It´s cerntainly fun to discuss with other than narrowminded Swedes ~:)
That doesn't mean 18 year olds are mature does it? We had the same thing happen during Vietnam, with 18 year olds getting drafted, and not one of them knew a thing. I know my own views and abilities have changed a great deal since I was 18, and that was only 4 years ago. I think it is extraordinarily presumptuous for any person to believe they know what is going on until they have actually 'been there, done that'. Maybe JAG has. But until I hear otherwise, I’ll doubt that.
Most of the time I just dismiss him as a stupid kid. But as soon as he starts insulting others so pedantically, I’ll stand up. He does not know why the Amazon tribes work the way they do. He just points them out with no back up.
Again, this goes back to my point, which I tried to make (albeit with a little tact as I have ever had) that too many people back here would rather attack an idea than come up with one on their own. JAG is a perfect example. The arrogance of youth, personified. He does not actually know how to stop terrorism or how to make Socialism work. He would rather attack others. That is a sign of immaturity.
Azi
Azi, no need to let it bother you. 'Witty' quips are nothing more than a poor attempt to cover how indefensible a position is.
As a side note, someone really needs to take out the trash here... This place is virtually overrun by liberals. As with roaches, the best way to keep them out is not to "feed" them in the first place. ~D
Anyway better to convince, in such a case, than fight back. :bow:Quote:

And JAG, if you're lovin' socialism so much, I'm sure the commune in the Ozarks would love to have you. I'm serious. Why don't you go there and try to prove that socialism works?
Crazed Rabbit
3 Cheers for Azi ~ ~ ~
Ouch turned quite nasty in here hasn't it. :book:
Azi, may I add, that you are doing a brilliant job of showing how a mature member of the board should act. ~
I liked that response better Strike, why did you edit it? :pQuote:
Jag at some points does seem preocupied with taking apart others ideals rather than sharing his own but he does have a good point from time to time as does Azi We need to stop bickering over little things and continue debating like civilized men
By standing up for myself and my beliefs without pithy one-liners? Sometimes you do make good points, but I would like to see something more constructive than what seems to be your modus-operandi of insults.
If you would like to know more about the Amazon tribes, I highly recommend (along with every single Professor who has ever even heard of it it seems) Guns, Germs and Steel. Fascinating book.
Anyway, how did you (JAG that is) quote something pre-edit? I am curious now. It seems to me that would be useful sometimes.
