Re: King of the Romans OOC thread XII
Jan's brother was killed by the Russians? Remember, his brother-in-law was bribed by them too. Something tells me Ansehelm won't get a hard time from Jan over that last execution...
Also, did you guys hear about that new pirate movie their making?
It's going to be rated Arrrrrr!!!!

Well the death suits Helmut, no non-sense.
I used Helmut to command the light cav again and threw them around the Russian Left Flank. But the Ruski's placed all their cav in a single forest and ambushed the entire right flank, so Helmut drove his cav into the back of the Ruski's and killed them entirely, unfortunately he himself was one of the few that fell.

Re: King of the Romans OOC thread XII
Yeah, it sounds like it was a "good death". I'm still trying to figure out how to have Jan respond IC when he finds out. o_O
Jan and Helmut didn't exactly part on the best of terms. I swear, guilt is the fuel that keeps Jan going from day to day. :laugh4:

There is more truth to that than you know. Fredericus pretty much made von Hamburg the "Outremer" family of Franconia after Duke Dietrich picked Gunther to be Duke. There is still the son of the traitor who is a "von Hamburg" but he'll pop up in Rome since his dad is dead. Otherwise it's just Dieter and Jan. Dieter has a daughter though and maybe the game's whacky heir mechanic will allow her to get married.

Re: King of the Romans OOC thread XII
ARRRRRRRR!!!!! I be installin' Kingdoms and then I'll be takin' your precious save and yer wenches!
From what the old salts tell me 'bout the dreaded install is that it can eat a man whole and takes forever! Plus there's some foul creature lurking in it's depths that latches on to yer hard drive like a barrrnacle and won't let go.
I'll try to make progress, but ye might have to wait, you impatient dogs!
Edit: Ummm, where's the save? I've see 1298-1, but where's Stig's save?
-
Re: King of the Romans OOC thread XII
You forgot an ARR in your edit
Dunno, maybe he forgot to upload?

Re: King of the Romans OOC thread XII
Arrrr! I have ye now scurvy save! But I be tired, and no sailor wants a helmsman who'll steer them onto shoals out of exhaustion.
The advance into next yearrrr will have to wait for the new tide (aprrox 12 hours for getting into 1300 and a proper end of term report).
If ye don't like it, take a long walk off a short plank.

Re: King of the Romans OOC thread XII

Re: King of the Romans OOC thread XII
Hello all.
Sorry, made a copy/paste error in my last fix version. I accidentally pasted the character traits and anc file directly into the zip root folder rather than the data folder. The ones in the data folder are still semi-old versions which had a typo in them causing CTD on loading.
The way to fix it is by unpacking 1.28 as usual (just move data folder into your m2tw root folder, overwriting your data and data\text folder) and then separately moving the 2 files in the zip root folder into the data folder overwriting the 2 files.
Alternatively, I just uploaded 1.28a which has all that done for you already. Sorry for the inconvenience.

I have the save and will resume play once some problems with the latest fix are ironed out.
Please stand by.
We know you have a choice of Play by Email campaigns, and we appreciate your business.

10 freaking florins?! That's the most pathetic mission reward I've ever seen.

Re: King of the Romans OOC thread XII
Heh, Arnold Scherer and Lorenz Zirn. If that ain't funny :laugh4:
What's even more so, their portraits are somewhat similar too.
-
Re: King of the Romans OOC thread XII
TC, I think it is the negative consequence of the mission OK was mindful of, the assassinations of nobles by the guild.
-
Re: King of the Romans OOC thread XII
Wait, they what?
We should probably demolish all of the Guilds if that's a consequence.
