Hello everyone!

I've been playing the total war games since shogun, but have never really gotten into the community aspect of the games. However, this is all about to change as I have signed up here :2thumbsup:

When I played medieval and rome, it was always a single player experience and I never considered playing online. When I bought Empire this changed. I tried a few matches and win or lose I had a lot of fun. Playing a live opponenet / with one as an ally, is infinately more fun (for me at least) than playing against the ai. Unfortunately, my experiences with random people online haven't always been the best. I've had lots of people spam/break rules that they set themselves etc. I don't mind this too much, but it's less fun than playing with people who a) are interested more in fun than a perfect record, and b) who you have developped a friendship with and can talk to during the game instead of a random who says nothing all match.

I guess I've gone into greater detail about my motives for joining this community than i planned hahah. Anyways, I look forward to meeting you all and playing some games! My main draw to playing online was empire, but that doesn't mean I won't let some people here convince me to play some rome/medieval matches with them!

I've been playing Total Wars since MTW until M2TW (Ach, not yet ETW - my PC doesn't match the req and my wallet's empty for now to buy some new hardwarses) yet just now I've found a community like this - I'm simply joining to c any1 playing multi wit me (I need more teamplayer wit me).

And besides that 2 c if anyone here could help me with modding... as I'm making a conversion project EITW:ROC (East Indies Total War:Rise of Colonialists), based on a mix of M2TW n MTW...with timespan from 1619 AD to 1755 AD (1 Turn = 1/2 Year) and region of map spanning from Balochistan,Pakistan in the West to Solomon Islands in the East and from Luzon, Philippines in the North until Timor, Indonesia in the south.


And lastly....to c if there's anyone playing n modding d game just the same with me, from Indonesia. :2thumbsup:

Hello everyone, I have just started playing M2:TW (I just upgraded to a PC capable of running it). I'm still finding my way in the game, a process made easier by sites like this one. Like Scorch I'm registered on TWC under the same name (haven't posted there yet though)

I'll hope you excuse the occasional dumb question and maybe I'll have something to contribute at some point.

I finally dared to download EB, and as such I have spent more than I should conquering for the Romaioi. More time has been spent reading descriptions and histories than actually playing, and that is an excellent thing in my book. :2thumbsup:
I hope to settle myself and have fun here, and if you've seen me when I was active at the main TW forums you are free to drop a PM. ^^

In Rome, I built an army consisting entirely of peasants and wandered the lands. And also died.

In Rome and Medieval 2, I built an army of peasants and/or spearmen and conquered the world. Gotta love those jedi generals.

Hey guys, I'm new here too. I started playing RTW about two months ago and just finished beating all the campaigns in the main game, BI, and Alexander. I definitely liked BI the best, and Alexander was cool too but a lot more fast paced (finished it with 0 turns left). I just started playing EB now and it looks great. I look forward to trying some of the newer Total War games too. Looks like a cool community here.

Oh and thanks for the camels whoever was handing those out.:2thumbsup:
