You will have to find something else that doesn't bother you at all.

Re: Who the hell are you anyway? A compilation of Orgah summations.
I hate to drag this off topic, but modern history has far too much rubbish about australia and is very asia-pacific centric (as well as being far too political - i don't care about political history tbh atm ;) )
Ancient history is very interesting imo, and that's why i'm studying it.
-
Re: Who the hell are you anyway? A compilation of Orgah summations.
At my school we study nothing about Asia or the Pacific, the topics are The Arab-Israeli Conflict, World War I and The Fall of the Romanovs.
Now back on topic, who will be next to be written about?
-
Re: Who the hell are you anyway? A compilation of Orgah summations.
Off topic: We study the rize of the nazi party, the cold war, the arab-israeli conflict, australia's relations with the asia pacific and australian political history
On topic: you?

Re: Who the hell are you anyway? A compilation of Orgah summations.
I don't think anyone knows me well enough to write one.

You would think somebody would after 1755 posts. :laugh4:

I had that thought too

Re: Who the hell are you anyway? A compilation of Orgah summations.
Oh well I'm not complaining, it's more of an honour to write one about somebody than to have your own written. So I'll find somebody who is missing and deserves to be there and write one for them.

Yeah same here, I'll do my best then:
Rythmic, one of the surprisingly many Australians. Joined the Org in december 2005 and has been a solid contributor ever since, mainly in the Frontroom and the Main Hall, mind you. Successfully combining school, music and a hard life of partying with keeping the main hall the pleasant place it is, an accomplishment which deserves to be mentioned.
How's that, for a start ?
:balloon2:

Re: Who the hell are you anyway? A compilation of Orgah summations.
Figured I'de add to Sasaki's to make it more accurate.
Sasaki Kojiro: Mods the Shogun forums, meaning he is one of those lucky, lucky people who get the title of moderator without having to do more than pop in once a week to make sure everything's ok. Also a fearsome Arcade player, who held a hammerlock on the high scores before Zain and Faust came along. Also Mods the Gameroom where he is involved in almost every Mafia game that has ever been hosted in there. The Gameroom is getting very popular along with all the Mafia games and I'll be the first to say that we're all happy to have Sasaki as a player and a Mod in our happy little forum.

Many thanks, Dutch_guy. ~
EDIT: I'm an English Australian (pardon the paradox).

Presumably, that means one of Rythmic's parents is a native-born Australian, and that the other is originally from England. ~:)
-
Re: Who the hell are you anyway? A compilation of Orgah summations.
Well there are a few meanings, but from my personal experince, an English Australian likes the English, and an Australian, bascilly (No offense) TOTALLY dislikes the English...

True, dat.
As long as I beat Somebody Else in escaping notice, it's all going to be alright.
(mumbles something about if people dares to write his descriptions he'll have to run away from the org in search of the headless horsemen, the Holy Grail, and some Chinese artifact I forgot the name of in Indonesia.)

An english australian is an australian of english descent (most of us are)
We don't hate the english, we just enjoy smashing them at sport.
There is a general dislike of americans though:yes:
-
Re: Who the hell are you anyway? A compilation of Orgah summations.
@ Martok: Close, both my parents are English and I'm a cockney berk. But because of the Commonwealth I have Aussie citizenship too.
-
Re: Who the hell are you anyway? A compilation of Orgah summations.
@rythmic - why does being british give you aussie citizenship?
Using that logic an australian can move freely around europe (because they would be a citizen of the commonwealth => a british citizen => an eu citizen => they have free travel in the eu...)
-
Re: Who the hell are you anyway? A compilation of Orgah summations.
@ sapi: Sorry my last post was muddled. What I meant was that I have lived here for 7 years and gained citizenship. And the Commonwealth means I can have duel citizenship, so both for the UK and Australia without having to relinquishing one of them.
-
Re: Who the hell are you anyway? A compilation of Orgah summations.
Darn it, so some brits are becoming Aussies becuase of this commonwealth! That ain't fair (Well I guess it is)
And also, i guess Australia doesn't like Americans and Brits, but I dont mind the Americans htta much, its just the brits i dont really like:grin3:
-
Re: Who the hell are you anyway? A compilation of Orgah summations.
I had no idea British/Aussie relations are so tenuous. Luckily for them us Americans are around or they wouldn't have anything in common ~;) .

Are you kidding? They deported the CRIMINALS in their Empire--the Irish and the Scots to a lesser degree, the Scots were sent to Canada.

Steady Lads. This is a simple "who is who" thread. Let us keep it that way. If one has post-bellum English impirialist feelings, plenty of backroom threads avail.

There are far more descendants of free citizens than convicts living in australia today.
That said, lets be good and do as kukrikahn said and get back on topic

Re: Who the hell are you anyway? A compilation of Orgah summations.
Hmm. Alright, but I hear of most Australians having Gaelic last names.
