Re: OOC Thread and Chatroom
Actually, if we are at war with a faction then all of their settlements are free to take. It's just that, if you go on a rampage and go after settlements that are not ordered to be taken by an Edict or by Basileus, you might end up in a place surrounded by enemies and with no reinforcements and without a support from the Council.

Re: OOC Thread and Chatroom
Navaroo, if you want to take Hierosolyma you might want to coordinate, as Theodoros is planning the same thing

Re: OOC Thread and Chatroom
Also, who ever gets there first must remember that 2 Ptolemaioi half stacks are coming from south. I think you don't want to share the faith of some other Strategoi some in-game years ago.

indeed there are many dangers down there

Re: OOC Thread and Chatroom
One thing that I just realized is that if CA 4.1 passes(which it does at the moment) then there will be a lot more people who can run for Chancellor in the next Council Session. This was not my main goal but this gives another reason why you should stay put into one province.
Also this means that you, players, should decide whether you want to play as a general or a governor.
Since there isn't that many Armies but there are a lot of settlements then this gives another way to prove yourself.
Just some thoughts...

Re: OOC Thread and Chatroom
Is my character allowed to attain the new rank I-K? Or do you have to be actively playing the game?
-
Re: OOC Thread and Chatroom
It might be a good thing to be able to see the situation, what buildings can be constructed etc. Also, to quote your own SOT post: "Would you give a blind man a city to run?". ~;)

That's exactly why I said, we should coordinate. Together we might stand a chance against the Ptolemaoi forces there and I have no problem with leaving the taking of the town to Navarro while keeping some egyptians off his back - my character is so unselfish ;) ... The Royal army is heading there too, right?
oh.. and I'm sure you meant "fate" ;)
-
Re: OOC Thread and Chatroom
Haha alerion dont kid urself, our empire surviving is my main worry not the town. So lets get a coordination going definitely, um best thing would be to beat the already near us Ptolemy army and then wait up for the RA to arrive so we can all march in and be their to reinforce or whatever is needed to help each other in the obviously up coming battles.

Re: OOC Thread and Chatroom
do you think a restriction should be put on on the race of someone who can run for chancellor?
-
Re: OOC Thread and Chatroom
you mean hoq many people can run for chancellor or how often one can run for it?
-
Re: OOC Thread and Chatroom
or do u mean actual like RACE like in-game heritage?
-
Re: OOC Thread and Chatroom
Like only Makedones or Hellenes?
-
Re: OOC Thread and Chatroom
Like only assassinating your opponent/s if you really want to win?
-
Re: OOC Thread and Chatroom
I'm very disappointed in this election, I expected bribery and corruption on a massive scale. Or perhaps my vote just wasn't worth anything...

I don't think so since we don't have that many people who actually can run for Chancellor but that should change with the new rank.

Yes, you can get the new rank. If you set up your build queue then you don't have to be that active. Just update it occasionally and everything is fine.

Re: OOC Thread and Chatroom
ya know im surprised to see such a powerful expansion by Epiros. Was checking out the library and it appears they are close to wiping our Makedon and probably soon HK as well. Normally in my games i see a more intense Makedonian expansion but i suppose that's the beauty of EB.
Edit: Also noticed i haven't gotten my bp's for relieving Sidon or has that not been done yet?

Re: OOC Thread and Chatroom
navarro, I probably missed that. It's fixed now.

ok dude i gotta OOC this one because you took me so wrong. I meant proper stomping ground as in place of your armies title. Second while the army is accomplished tactics and leadership wins battles so dont doubt any other commander here's prestige. Second, excuse me for not being able to beat every Fing near full stack Ptolemy army that happens to come from the south and i believe i have done my part in making sure Sidon wasnt over run and so did Alerion I believe so show the due respect because every little bit counts. Ya taking down Pontus was a great feat but that war was over when it began anyway. Lastly, why waste time and money mustering forces when i was nicely offering my services to get the thing started. THEN a new unit could definitely be used to get things started.

Re: OOC Thread and Chatroom

One of Antiochos' slaves whisper something to him...
Oh.. yes.. Unfortunately, Aratos, you are back to the rank of Strategos Epilektos. I had a plan to make Hetairos rank to be more important and I had no plans of taking away it from those who have earned it fighting hard battles for the Arche. But I guess that Epeirote campaign will get to the next rank faster than you know!
So i guess Nikaia it is for me then started heading out today

Re: OOC Thread and Chatroom
is it possible to borrow a unit from a nearby settlement's garrison to deal with some rebels near the settlement? because I downloaded the save (just to take a look at the map) and noticed that there are rebels within range of karkathiokerta and edessa (from the devastation on those tiles; and I moved my character near there just to confirm). Since I am nearby, may I have permission to take a unit of thanvare payahdag to aid me in removing the rebels?
(or should this post belong in the royal council)
-
Re: OOC Thread and Chatroom
@everyone - You can 'borrow' a unit if you have asked it from the Basileus. And since he is such a nice person and loved by all(:clown:) then I think he might even allow it. ~;)
