I feel I have to defend Poland in 1938. Although I'm ashamed of the idea of taking back 'Zaolzie' ( a territory in northern Czechoslovakia, nearby Olza river) in 1938, at the same moment when Hitler took so called Sudetenland, it still is quite complicated.
For first the territory was mostly Polish ( majority of the population)
and secondly in 1920 when Poland fought Russia the Czech army invaded the region. It was the reason of tension between Polish and Czech government between 1920 and 1938 ( or even later). Both governments considered the other country 'a temporary state' that's why both Slavic nations didn't cooperated against Hitler.
There is a long-lasting feud between Poles and Czechs, even today we aren't exactly friends ( I mean foreign affairs and so on).

I often have to give Bohemians Silesia, to increase their chance to survive.

Good idea, but when it comes to Late era. At that time Silesia was a vassal of Bohemia, and even in the earliest years of the XIVth century Bohemian ruler was the king of Poland as well. This could make playing
Poland a little more difficult though.

Yes, it was their fatal mistake, but they were even able to repeat this in 1939 - France wasn't ready to help Poland and the war lasted 6 years because of that.


BTW SpetzNatz can You drop in to the XVI-XVII mod, maybe You can add something when it comes to Bohemia at that time ( 30-years war for example).

I'm still getting LateRoyalknights as HighRoyal bodyguard units, in SuperHigh. Has this already been addressed on this thread and/or have I done some ting wrong. I fixed it by re-adding the Early royal knights and Ghulams, whilst dropping the Berserkers. Did I really need to do this.

I haven't had a chance to look at this yet because I'm still having problems with the map. I suspected you're solution to be the only way to fix the problem though. I'll look at putting it in the patch.

You probably already know this. But it's possible to restore some/all of the facshields But... you have to create new units for the new factions. i.e you get Chivalricmanatarms and Chivalricmanatarms2. They do spice up the Battlefield and make lurvely elite royal units. Maybe nice in Late.

Hey BKB I was playing through my Armenian campaign and just noticed that Georgian Heavy Cavalry have a training time of 12 years This can't be intentional...might want to fix it?

I agree it does eat up unit spaces. So far I only dropped a couple of topless loons (not sure how many guys were still charging round half naked in the 13th century) and just created 2 new units for All_Factions (MAA and Knight). I returned Chivalric knights and ChivalricMAA to a few of the old factions. Beefed them up into kind of Ordannance units for late. Too many identical facshields look a little unrealistic don't you think.

but there's no chance to get the last one and I don't know theese two files are in the latest version.

I downloaded this file with all patches included (more than 50 MB) and succesfully installed it.
It looks nice, but I have two problems:

1. A played 100 turns of campaign. When Cumans attacked my forces in Moldovia, I saw textures\campmap\prebatshield\shl26.bif
and game was freeze. When I clicked OK - I saw CTD.

Is there any chance to avoid this problem?

2. I couldn't open building and unit files with Gnome Editor...

uksiu, if you wait till tonight or tomorrow i'm releasing the map and a small patch with it. This will sought out the pre bat shield problem. Any problems people want fixing put it down as quickly as possible.

Prebat CTD playing byantines against the Armenians I was only in the 6 or 7th year of play. Man that sucked :( perhaps a bug? I didnt have this problem playing as the Almohads or other factions but I never attacked the armenians before till now.

I doubt it's a problem with the Armenians, since I have been playing a campaign with them for 150 years and haven't had any crashes. Perhaps you installed incorrectly?

Problem with CTD before battle is caused by lack of prebat shields' graphics.
If you want to continue, do something like I did:

For example game needed shL26.bif. I copied first shL file to other directory, changed name to shL26.bif and put it in original place. Load the game and no crashes.

Shields looks stupid only on prebat screen. In battle everything looks fine for me. But I am patient and I'm looking for the new version.

Fantastic work again Spetz Shame about Brittany though - they'll be removed from High when the map is released in favour of the Latin States I'm ready for the next batch now.
