France now falls under British Control..... the tables have turned! Shall the French courts now speak English for the next few hundred years?
I don't know, friend in China. I believe that the French are just putting their military under British high-command for a time.
has everyone pmed you warluster? i want an update! :laugh4:
No, I am still waiting for Ignoramus. But I am already writing the CHapter up.
Chapter 9
March the First 1916 – June the First 1916
The war carries on, victory sometimes teasing both sides.
Near Japan, part of the American Navy was sabotaged, as the Chinese Navy made its first moves of the war. Around 0730 on 2nd of March several small raiding ships of the Chinese Fleet raided several American Ships, with 2 ships sunk on the American Side, the Chinese Raiders lost 3 smaller ships. It could not be considered a victory for China, but has weakened America of two ships.
Over several months the Chinese Government set up a plan for recruiting new soldiers, and recruiting stations opened up around the country. The Chinese Army recruited some 500 000 troops in several months, but none have any experience in war and will take ages to equip and train.
In the Serbian Capital of Belgrade, the Serbian Army halts, and prepare for a second siege. The army start to get more ammunition from other Serbian Cities, who also send some 2 000 men as well.
(Note: I’ve looked all over Wiki but couldn’t find it, but does anyone have links to the Historical Size of Armies?)
In Russia many things happen. The Russian Tsar wishes for several thousand troops to go to Belgrade and surrounding areas, but many problems affect this. The Tsar orders for some 1, 500 000 troops to cut off Austrian Attack, but after several problems on the Austrian-Russian Front it is limited to two armies of 500 000.
The surround the Austrian Armies, waiting for the trap to play. But no Austrian Armies come, and after sometime, the Russian Soldiers march forward. They find the Austrian Army is camping 500 km off Belgrade. The small demoralized army off about 50 000 Austrian Troops start to fight, and with only three batteries of cannons still left, they start to bombard the Russians, who charge the Austrian line. After some bitter fighting, the Russians lose 2000 soldiers, but the Austrians lose some 10 000, while the other 40 000 are taken prisoner. As are the cannons.
With one army of 500 000 dealing with the Austrians near Belgrade, the other army marches to the Austrian Border. They find some 45 000 determined Austrian and Italian Troops, ready to fight to the death. The Russians deploy their 100 cannons and start firing on the Central powers Armies positions. But the Austrians/Italians fight back with some 100 cannons, and after a while it seems the Central powers Cannons are much better made then the Russians ones. The Russians dig trenches and wait, as the Generals take the cases to the Russian Tsar.
Back to Japan; some 500 000 more soldiers are massed near Japan, of Russian Command, preparing to free Japan of American Trouble.
In Bulgaria some 100 000 troops are demobilized, giving back their guns and going back to family life. But they still have a army 450 000 strong, ready too attack. They reinforce the Russian Armies bombarding The Austrians/Italians, and now there is 950 00 soldiers there, an allied army of Russia/Bulgaria.
But the Bulgarians are determined, as they have their orders from the Tsar, who told them ‘Hungary or Home’ and that sticks to their mind. So the 450 00 Bulgarian Soldiers, with support of 100 000 Russian Soldiers, charge the enemy lines. Some 40 000 are killed, and the Austrians/Italians retreat back to a second line of defense, where another 20 000 Austrians are. Their army counts 65 000 now, and are equipped with Modern Guns, and have support of a fort behind them. The Bulgarians prepare to charge, but are waiting for the Russians to come forward, already 100 000 are there.
The British Troops located in Serbia have stopped, after news arrived of the Allies Victory. They camp for a while preparing to help if an Central powers Army attacks again, but with the massive Allied Army on the Serbian-Austrian border, the British Soldiers move back to the coast, and prepare to move back to England.
A whole Fleet of British Ships move from their base in Northern England, and move around the coast quickly. Troops are loaded on near London, and they set out at once. However this time they are seen, and were seen traveling across the Atlantic, and soon they were near Canada.
Ships of the Royal Navy approached the shore, then loaded troops onto ferries, which were sent in closer to shore. When they could go no further, the troops loaded onto small rowboats, with jackets plied on them. The Battleships/etc encountered resistance from some of the American Fleet. Some 3 scouting ships tried to stealthily escape and track the British Fleet, but were fired upon. 1 was sunk and another heavily damaged, but the 2 limped back to base, where they reported the attack. The British Navy of course set off to counter the Americans, who moved northward trying to block an escape route. Both navies have no idea where the other is.
The landing was horrific. The rowboats expected to find friendly Canadian Troops waiting for them, but found only American machine Gunners. Of the 80 000 landing, there was some 34 000 Americans awaiting, most of them American machine Gunners. The landing crew lost some 4 000 when landing, some force in the icy water, but most made it too shore. A horrible fight broke out then, with numbers not mattering.
In the street fighting which happened, some 20 000 from both sides were killed, and at least 5 000 wounded. The American Troops quickly withdrew on trains waiting, and were taken back to safer ground. The British have landed in Canada.
In Belgium, at Brussels, some troops were taken from the British Army for the Canadian Landing. All the same, the British Troops were ordered to counter attack and reclaim the city. They attacked around May the 20th, and were amazed to find the city empty of German Soldiers! It seems the German Troops retreated outside the city the day before. The next day the British troops were fired upon, and casualties are unknown.
On the Russian-Austrian Front, thousands of German Troops push back the Russian Attack, and some 15 000 Russians are wounded, and some 3 000 Germans are wounded. The Russians are pushed entirely out of that side of Austria, and the German Army celebrated, now with the Serbian-Austrian Front the only worry.
The American Troops have pulled off the Japanese Mainland, with the Japanese troops not coming from their fortified places. The troops currently reside on the boats, and the enormous fleet of America are trying to strangle the land of resources.
The Italian troops residing at the Alps moved down, under watchful eye of their own cannons. Then they moved across the Italian-French border, and attack the cities of the French Nation. Several small towns along the border and slightly in were taken, giving a foothold to Italy.
The Italians fortifications are strengthened at Austria, preparing to counter any more Russian/Bulgarian attacks.
Anyway, that’s the Chapter! Decisions coming very soon!
Message from Tsar Nicolas II:
Regarding prisoners of war, I have ordered my generals to treat all prisoners with respect and courtesy. All prisoners are to be awarded with at least two meals a day, although preferably three, depending on rations available. I have ordered them to be transported back to Russia to be placed in confinement for the duration of the war. I hope that Russian wounded and prisoners are also treated as such.
We waiting for a orders sheet or we just supposed to send them in?

Well if I had a Stereotypical Serbian little man I would say thank you with that.... :2thumbsup:
I suppose I resume control of my forces...
Just to keep everyone updated. I haven't done the decisions lately because I've been busy at work, andother games. Sorry.
Not a problem... still checking here periodically
I have an idea: does anyone have an idea on how to create a map to show the current disposition of all the major factions? That would be neat if someone could do that.
something like this:Quote:

Wow, thanks a lot for that map. It looks just spectacular. I hope it didn't take too long.
A map is great for keeping the game interesting and to give us the feeling of being the armchair general we love so much.:2thumbsup: Now if we could just get some hard numbers...
As for an update: I could only reply to the Canadian one for now. I wish Warluster was a bit more specific about the "where"s but aparrently the British have definitely established a beach head and I THINK America has taken some land in Canada for occupation. I'm assuming somewhere south of the major beachhead, which I'm assuming is on the central east coast of Canada.
it didn't take too long since i used a base map of 1914 to speed it up :sweatdrop: and maps are always good cos they give a better understanding of what's going on for the player... i love making maps even with my crappy ms paint and i currently have waay too much time on my hands which i should be using to do other things :2thumbsup:Quote:

:dizzy2: Quite honestly, I don't know. i'm assuming that England's beachead is connected to the rest of British Canada.
However, the one who truly knows should be Warluster. Anything from me is just speculation.:embarassed:
Open Letter to the Participants in the Interactive
Actually at this particular moment I'm in a situation close to the exile. My computer is experiencing some problems and I have some sweet exams. In addition I am sieged by cock roaches (the hope: a new weapon for mass destruction was introduced this night). So it won't be possible for me to send my decisions earlier than say 16th of June (in case Warluster post the decisions). Sorry if I delay you a bit... but I doubt a few days will be a problem (say yes, please ;) ).
Yours,
Stephen Asen known as Ferdinand of Bulgaria
P.S. Thanks for understanding!
hehe I personally don't mind. We don't seem to be too active at the moment anyways. Hope your problems go away.:smiley2:
Okay all, here is the doomsday letter.
I'm gonna have to declare this dead. I just don't have the time I used to have, and other things have popped up in life. THis required a lot of dedication and hard work, and I couldn't find the time.
Sorry all, but I've had a fun time so far.
I have one final question, does anyone want to take over the interactive? I'd be more then happy for someone to pick it up.
Thouh jsut a heads up, I am going to be starting a sort of mini interactive, with only some 6 factions to make it easier, and some new stuff RP wise. Look out for it!
Thanks for running this Warluster, it was fun while it lasted (Particularly the Greece/Bulgaria stuff).
Well thanks for the fun while it lasted. I was looking forward to enlarging the British Empire, though.
Well it was a enjoyable one post for me none the less
Looks like im gonna have to become more active...I cant let this thing die! I will take over, if that is fine with you. Please send me the necessary information so far. (im lost on this one...)

Lord Motep of Kendermore, Ruler of All
Wait...what?
France does not exist...to you people anyway...Cant go ther anymore... and her mighty armies go unto bulgaria.
Motep,
I'll pop up every now and then to offer advice on it, and right now this is one of those moments.
I suggest you find a new player for France, as I am sure it will cause discontent amongst some players, though they won't say publicly, and Bulgaria already has a massive army, Stephen Asen downgraded the army last chapter because it was too big.
