Wait. If I read correctly, all he revealed was that you killed noone during Night 1. That is hardly evidence of your complete innocence.
He wouldn't know that unless he investigated me. And the story has been consistent from day one of me claiming to Reenk, that the investigation monitors activity only, it is not 100% indicator of guilt or innocence.
The evidence that I'm innocent would appear to be the fact that, of Ichigo and Beskar, one of them is mafia, or both. Otherwise Beskar would not have said he got a guilty result, yes? Now... I claimed and sold Ichigo down the river. Today, I reveal where the info came from, and Beskar did not deny it. So, if I'm mafia, I've given you my partner.
Lynch me tomorrow and all your concerns will disappear, my friend. That's your proof I'm innocent.
Round over. Writeup to follow.
This isn't liable to be very good for me, I thought as I stepped out of my tent in the morning. I was beginning to feel the age of routine now upon myself when waking up. These last few days it has been much of the same. I would wake, gather my paper and brush, and go to the council. Then, I would try and keep pace with the savages as they blindly threw accusations around in the hopes that they decipher who was killing people at night. At this rate, I might even end up more comfortable with them than I am in the court! I shook my head at the absurdity of the thought, and put my mind at the task at hand. I arrived at a fairly good time today, with only perhaps a third of the camp, as well as Shinzei, present. Tribesmen slowly filtered in as more woke up or finished with a morning ride. I informed Shinzei when I was finally prepared for keeping track of the council. With that, he raised a hand, and started the council.
The council did not take long to get into a mood of vigilance. Very quickly, the man named Beskar, gained attention. I recalled that he had several close calls with the council before today. He was accused of attempting to deceive the council as to his whereabouts during the night, and that he had inconsistencies in his claims. He immediately renounced the accusations, and declared those attacking his integrity as deceivers. However, he found little support in his defense. As more tribesmen listened to the argument against him, more sided in favor of his death. The odds seemed to increasingly stack against his survival. There was continued argumentation throughout the day, but most of it seemed inconsequential. Though a few decided to turn suspicion elsewhere, when the sun began its descent, Beskar was still far and away the one who's death was most demanded of. I informed Shinze of the offical record.
Shinzei stood from his position, sword in hand. Those still alive made a loose circle around Beskar, intent upon preventing his escape. He was slowly inched towards his executioner as the circle tightened. He glanced with great unease around. Panic was visibly upon his face. Shinzei demanded he be made to submit before him, so a proper execution could be performed. Several tribesmen made an attempt to tackle the sentenced man to the ground, but Beskar rolled to the ground and evaded their grasp. He grabbed a knife which he had kept hidden, and stormed into a weak spot in the circle. Caius attempted to stop him, but Beskar dove under the man's grasp, and delivered a knife stroke into the gut, before continuing his mad dash. He had escaped the encirclement, and was making his way towards a wooden stake where several steeds were tied up. Several tribesmen fired arrows, but none connected as Beskar weaved in and out.
I was entranced by the sight in front of me. The man's desperate bid for his life was almost admirable, I had to admit. Yet, law was law. I snapped by head away from the sight and realized that Shinzei was no longer next to me. I scrambled to find him. He was, after all, the one now guaranteeing my safety. I ran into the main camp, disregarding the condemned man's bid for freedom for the moment. I searched through tent after tent, unable to find him. After a minute of fruitless searching, I made a beeline for the edge once more, wondering if perhaps I could find him better from this view. When I reached the edge of our encampment, I was treated to a bizarre and wonderful sight. Beskar had indeed obtained for himself a steed, and was now dueling with several different tribsemen, all upon their own mounts, across the endless plain. As I watched, it was then I found Shinzei- he was one amongst those attempting to apprehend Beskar. Outnumbered badly, the man was weaving every which way, barely avoiding spear thrusts and arrows that attempted to end his escape. Shinzei shouted directions, and the tribe began finally to coordinate their movements. Beskar would attempt to ride west, only to be cut off by several horsemen. When he attempted to go east, he would be cut off once more by several horsemen. Shinzei led a small cadre of horsemen that were shutting of a northern escape. Beskar finally made a bid south. South. Towards the encampment. And myself. I cursed to myself. My guards were amongst those that were funneling Beskar to the encampment. I scrambled about, looking for anything to defend myself should the need arise. I went through tent after tent, until, finally, in the fifth tent, I discovered an errant spear. I quickly ducked out into the main camp. Beskar burst through the other end, his steed now clearly becoming exhausted, as evident by severe panting. I stumbled as I attempted to maneuver away from the dangerous man, and fell to the ground. Beskar's horse began trampling down the lane I had stumbled in, arrows whipping by over his head. For reasons I cannot understand, a bravery I had never yet felt surged through my blood. I got up off the ground, and blocked the horse's path. Beskar shouted for me to move or he would slay me. Feeling my courage envelop me like the strongest armor, I stood my ground. Holding the spear in both hands, I gave a mighty thrust as Beskar and his steed trampled into me. The horse grazed by me, avoiding the collision, but I was knocked to my back regardless. For my spear had struck true, directly into the chest of Beskar. The force of his body being pierced upon my weapon had thrown me backwards. I was shake some and splattered with blood, but came out much better than my counterpart.
The horsemen came into the camp, led by Shinzei, with looks of amusement upon their faces as they discovered the body I left. Shinzei ordered the camp return to council grounds. I was given no special treatment for my slaying of the Beskar, but the camp members did seem to look upon me with a bit more favor. When all were situation, Shinzei demanded of everyone that tell everything they knew of Beskar now that he was deceased. A man named Tratorix stepped forward, his head bent down. He made a profuse apology to the entire camp, stating that he had known Beskar was an assassin for a while now, and had temporarily accepted his services for a sum of copper pieces. He began pleading for his life, and in the process, revealed further that Ichigo, just recently executed, had been sent with Beskar as well. Shinzei demanded knowledge of any others. Tratorix tearfully stated that nobody else had been killing. A smile overtook Shinzei's face. He formed a fist in his right hand, and triumphantly raised it in the air, shouting a cheer of triumph. The rest of the camp raised their own hands, imitating their temporary leader. Adrenaline flowed through me, and I felt pride knowing that I had contributed. A fist formed in my own hand. I shot it skyward, cheering with my comrades in arms....

Ahahaha, I was right all along! Bow before my superior Beskar-detecting skills! :laugh4:
Excellent game everybody and thanks to khaan for hosting.
Congratulations on your excellent pick, GeneralHankerchief.
Congrats to the town on their victory.
A victory I'd be sharing if Beskar hadn't recruited me. :laugh4:
Woo-hoo! Beskar's puppy eyes did no good here! Victoly!!!
So what what the twist and what was YLC's role?
I just realized Khaan killed Caius off in the end post just out of spite. :laugh4:
Post-game thoughts-
1. I feel used, Beskar. The oven hath no fury like a Pizzaguy scorned. Now you understand why I couldn't just blindly trust you, my friend. I've never been used so hard like that before, but it was an inevitability, given my penchant for townie networks. I have to watch out for my own credibility; if people know that the pizzaguy is gullible, I'll be an easy mark in future games. Remember the rule: benefit of the doubt only lasts so long. That was the rule I stated to you when you revealed to me originally. I told you what was going to happen. You should not have been surprised when I pointed the finger at you.
2. My fellow townies (excluding pevergreen the pevergreat), you have to be on the lookout for hiding/delaying tactics like pretending to have internet troubles just when a game begins. Myself, pever, and a couple others noted that Ichigo's activity dropped off right when the game began. It's far too easy to hide in the noise of discussion when you aren't even there.
3. Detective claims must result in an eventual lynch... I believe more than half of all detective claims are phony. A detective for a mafia is always a good trade. Especially a fake one.
4. You will read our mash notes once more, because mafia is all about peace and love. READ IT.

5. A lie is a tool; it can be used for good or evil.
6. No lurker victories.
Congrats on 1000 posts btw. But yea I barely noticed. Haha.
If I've learned anything from this, is that lurking and making inane comments will get you through to the mid-game.
I knew it! One vote and straigth to the top. That´s what I call efficency (or lurking).
Wait... WHAT? Beskar fingered his own partner? What was the objective of that?
[edit] Thus marks the end of the Curse of Khaan! Woo! (Thanks, 'khaan for a very entertaining game.)
Yes indeed... :inquisitive:
Was it because he could recruit more, and he might gain credibility to last him to the end game? :inquisitive:
The curse of Khaan ended in Minnesota Mafia :clown::smash:Quote:

Maybe Beskar didn't realize that the game would end on his demise. He might have thought that Tratorix could run to the finish line undetected.
As ATPG said, a detective claiming to have found a guilty player, will normally be executed right after. Town's ability to ferret out Mafiosi should not rest on the shoulders of a detective. Finding one is a job well done and we thank him for his contribution and slit his throat.
I got a bit suspicious towards the ATPG and Beskar network after I fed them some incriminating information.
The night with no kills - Beskar came to me and asked if I had blocking abilities, since he had informed me that he would investigate Ichigo and there was no kills. I told him I had none, but added - I had not been able to log on to the .org due to my 10th anniversary. This he completely ignored and I was still "innocent" in his book the next round when he found a guilty Ichigo. Naturally he had to go the next round to make sure. I expected that he would launch a crusade against me the next round, but lo and behold, the game was over. :2thumbsup:
And to all those who thought I was a Mafioso: Shame, shame on all of you!! :laugh4: [I kid of course]
How was I to know, that Beskar would lynch his own partner??:dizzy2:
Ichigo even pointed the finger at him and Pizzaguy after his death..:smash:
Curse of Khaan has ended for this large game...good job everyone:2thumbsup:...(I am still in disbelief, I was wrong about Sigurd:shame:)
To Sigurd and ATPG:The biggest thing you guys did to hurt town this game, was keeping Beskar's reveal to yourself for so long:wall: (kinda funny it ended up killing Ichigo:laugh4:)
We win!
And I kept distrusting everyone and stuff...
I'm guessing night 4, no kills took place then. :yes:Quote:

I am glad I held that off then...I was planning on looking into Tratorix during the night based on posts and night kills:2thumbsup: (No my design is not flawed even though Sigurd was innocent, he still withheld information about Beskar which made him look like a Mafia/Pro-town in my little graph checker...) Going to need to keep this little puppy for when lurker mafia are on the roll again:book:
Easiest way to avoid it?? just post more..I notice it fails to pick up on someone who is posting a lot like Pizzaguy...:sweatdrop:
Well! It appears that Khaan may give clues after all in the write ups!
Spoiler Alert, click show to read:
The comet write up in Night 4, so they recruited Tratorix that night, and then the write ups indicated that they were now able to do 2 kills!
Ahh... much clearer now. :2thumbsup:
And certainly don't try something like: "Its too big, even for ATPG" :laugh4:Quote:

Thanks to Khaan for hosting!
Thank you khaan for hosting, the game was very well written and I really got into it. Thank you Sasaki wherever you are for being my inspiration. Using your playstyle and analytical method, I now have a deeper respect for it, it really did flush out a lot of the bit players (Beskar, Atpg, Tratorix).
WOW WE COULD HAVE LYNCHED BESKAR SO EASILY IN THE FIRST THREE ROUNDS! :furious3:
I fully blame Atpg and Sigurd for saving Beskar's lives in the early going. :furious3:
I think understand what Beskar's plan was. I don't think it was a bad plan, maybe a bit premature as Ichigo was not gaining any suspicion.
All I have to say is, Beskar, if you had killed Atpg and AVSM, both of whom you said you knew about, this entire thing wouldn't have happened, and your plan might have worked.
I really want to know why you didn't do this? :inquisitive: :help: :juggle2:  :wall: :whip:
Also, a big thank you to YLC for selling me his vote a lot. You can have my votes in one game if you wish, just ask.
Can I ask you guys who are blaming me a question? Would you have gotten Ichigo so early if Beskar hadn't pointed the finger at him? No. I was one of the ones voting for Ichigo early because I didn't buy his story. Furthermore, as soon as Beskar revealed to me, I told him that if he didn't hand over a mafioso in a few rounds, I would expose him for fake claiming to me. Then, I kept telling Beskar I would volunteer to reveal any guilty result he got. Which prompted the Ichigo reveal. I told you to lynch Beskar if he survived after the Ichigo reveal. AT MOST I said wait ONE more round. I started questioning Tratorix right after that, and voted for him, just as he had been recruited.
So yeah. That would be 3/3. If you think I somehow did a bad job this game, might I remind you that you thought I was scum the whole game, and I assisted in taking down the whole mafia team. I guess that doesn't matter though.
Final point: You really want me to just immediately lynch someone claiming detective in future games? Yeah ok. Good call. :laugh4: He still went down, I was just exploring the possibility of him telling the truth. In short... puh-leaze.
I'm not trying to take too much credit, this was a team effort, and a lot of it was luck. But if you think I did a bad job this game, you need to get your head examined, no offense.
