Adieu Thierry Henry.
BAD move for Arsenal. Really bad.
Chivu is somehow going to Barcelona. Materazzi said hes leaving if Chivu comes, so probably hes going to Barcelona, especially when Puyol and Edmilson are out for 4 months.

Perhaps Henry is leaving at the right time, what with recurring injuries taking
hold of a fair stretch of the season, though I am tired of players 'committing'
to the club and then getting out at the next available opportunity.
Being the eternal pessimist, I'd tend to agree with Rythmic on possible team
performance next season. [Don't want to think of beyond.] I would say a lot
depends on Cesc; and a fit van Persie for the whole season. No overexuberant
celebrations, I say, even if it is against the Mancs.
Might as well throw it in as well - what of the wee Mancs and Thaksin
Shiniwatsit? Sounds like a bit of a bad joke on first hearing it; though
I do not view the incoming Swede quite so negatively. Will we see Sven
turning them into Lazio Mark 2minus the fascists?
Don't get me on manc citeh! My prediction to do a Watford this year. The new owner (Frank) Shiniwatra, looks likey to be in a Thai clink before the season kicks off. Now Sven for manager. :dizzy2:
Yup, citeh going down faster than a lead balloon. :laugh4:
Link to source? I have trouble believing that Materazzi would leave. Is it because he doesn't want competition for the best defender or because he just wants to go? I do not have trouble believing that Barca want Chivu. I did, however, think that Roma's contract lasts for one more year though.Quote:

I know that the score never lies, even when it does, but I didn't think you deserved your equaliser against us. And your keeper was miles off his line during almost all of the penalities.
Not that I'm bitter.
Listened to that game, naturally expecting the equaliser at the death. You just
knew it was coming, despite any and all effort being put in. You could be proud
that they put up such a fight; it seemed to me they showed a spirit that hasn't
been present in the senior team since the Euro 2004 exit.
Better for England to go out to defending champions and tournament hosts at
that stage and in that manner than get pumped by Serbia, having had half of
the team suspended for the final.
Well, I suppose that's partly true. We pretty much dominated the second half, and as Rdece already stated, it was merely waiting for it to happen. And the English goal was what we'd call a defensive blunder - and the keeper didn't exactly shine out either.Quote:

PS: Richter's goal was pretty cool though, can't remember last time I've actually seen a bicycle kick go in.
:balloon2:
If only I could say the same. Lithuania scored one against us in the EuroQuote:

Rarely see the referees take action regarding goalkeeper positioning. Dudek andQuote:

Not that I want to bring back bad memories. ~;) There are some good penalties
in there, but see Cocu [~3:30] and especially de Boer [~5:00 and 5:30] for the
positioning.
Well, only if you consider one of our defenders being injured a blunder. ~;)Quote:

It was a good goal to be fair, though, I do love bicycle kicks.
I consider Ron Vlaar giving Leta (?) the time to control the ball and shoot a defensive blunder, and Waterman should have boxed the ball away. Just so we're clear, I was talking about the English 0 -1 :wink:Quote:

Also, I'm sure you all get the irony in Richter's last minute goal - with an English player down ?
:balloon2:
Oh, I see. Out of curiosity, is Waterman really your best keeper at U21 level, or have you had injury problems? Because you've got some very good young players, but he's not one of them.
Don't know if it's injury related that Waterman's the prefered goalie, but he is the most experienced of the three keepers which were selected for the team (he may even have been in the team last time we won). Vermeer (a young talented keeper, the second choice) simply hasn't been playing a lot this season, and I'd assume it would be hard to say how he'd react to the pressure of, say, a final. And that third keeper is unknown to me, so can't comment on him.Quote:

Typical Youtube Thierry Henry Compilation [Including obligatory questionable

In other bad news, Aberdeen just lost their captain; who was committed to
being a one club man, and had been at the club since 1996. He was the
defence, and any spirit in that team. Now I can expect 5-0 drubbings against
the likes of Bolton. [And so can he, now he is a Premiership player.]
We'll go easy on you, mebbe 4-0. :laugh4:
It appears everyone is splashing the cash ... except us.
It's a crazy world when Spurs spend more on Darren Bent then the Ar5e got for Thierry henry! :inquisitive:
Torres is off to Liverpool. Eto'o is staying put. [I have started hearing thatQuote:

Was wondering, does anyone know where to see / hear any coverage of the
Copa America over here? Just realised we are in the under 20's World Cup.
Playing Japan tomorrow, so I might as well watch that.
Lampard's rejected a deal with Chelsea - looks like the only way is down
for Frankie boy now, I'd say. Out of the England squad and overseas with
you.
Seeing as you mention it, you think Newcastle will be any good, next season?
Strikes me as yet another false dawn. Not that I'd be too fussed to see them
down, mind you.
Edit:
Chelsea wants to splash 27 million euros on Alexandre Pato. Superb player, but he is a total blunder sometimes. The guy is got potential, but IMHO, he's quite instable. If he concentrates on his stuff, he's going to be great. But if he doesnt, he's going to be a total bluff.
The game against Poland he blundered 2 big scoring occasions.
Eduardo da Silva has signed for Arsenal... price unconfirmed but reportedly at the region of 16 million (~ )
The consolation is that he was the top scorer of the Croatian League. I think he's got an average of about a goal a game there.
It's a bluff actually. Most figures report 6 million euros, not 16, because they wouldnt be so idiots to splash all the cash for Henry for some unknown guy.
I would hardly call him unknown. Barišić claimed the deal was £16.25 million, but
according to the BBC it's 7.5, which would be closer to the mark. He has
undoubted quality - you can't score 34 goals in any top-flight European leagues
without that, but he certainly wasn't the name I think any of us had in mind for
Arsenal.
Even Romanian football is better than the Croatian football. Actually, Romanian football is the best of the Balkan area. ~D
That'll be the biggest waste of Spurs' cash or i'll run around white hart lane, butt naked, screaming i'm a yid till i die!Quote:

Plus, he seems like he can head the ball, and we haven't had someone who can do that for ages.
At the end of the day, he's scored more in the current Euro qualifying campaign than any England player. I'm hopeful.
Edit:
So what will we say, then? Over 15 goals next season and we receive audio andQuote:
