Day 8
The day was full of chaos. One point of the finger lead to another, and finally the desperate crew members decided on one fighter who just seemed out of place… not just with the crew, but with reality itself. Here was one so insane and demented that nobody was really sure who even let him on the ship in the first place! Captain Falcon was called in to read the votes.
“Today, the crew member you have found to be guilty is… Weavel the bounty hunter! Weavel, step forward and explain your defense.”
There were several gasps as Weavel approached the center of the chamber. He was fully clad in vicious armor, and nobody had ever seen what was underneath. Rumor had it he was almost entirely robotic, but there was no telling what he could be hiding.
“Well, you see… I can’t possibly have been working with Samus or Dark Samus because I’m a Space Pirate! Everybody knows that the Space Pirates hate both of the Samuses!”
Captain Falcon and the crew were dumbfounded.
“You’re saying you’re a Space Pirate… and because of that, we SHOULDN’T kill you? Wasn’t this whole mission set up to kill Space Pirates?”
If Weavel’s face was visible, he would have looked kind of nervous.
“Did I say Space Pirate? I meant former Space Pirate! Yeah, I don’t actually work with them anymore… that… often.”
“Who hired this guy again?”
A crew member piped up.
“Admiral Dane hired all the bounty hunters, sir.”
Captain Falcon brought his palm to his face.
“Let’s get this over with, then.”
“Not so fast! If you thought I would just stand here and let you kill me… well, then, I guess you didn’t think the right thing! I’m going to fight for my life!”
Before Weavel could even act, the Captain delivered a blindingly fast roundhouse kick to his chest. Much to his surprise, the entire top half of Weavel’s body detached at his hips and was launched back a few yards. The top half of Weavel’s body screamed insanely.
“HALFTURRET! ATTAAAAAAAAAAACK!”
A machine gun protruded from Weavel’s lower half and began firing at Captain Falcon. Though he was surprised, Falcon was nonetheless able to destroy the halfturret with a single blow from his fist. But Weavel was undeterred.
“Come over here! I’ll cut your head off!”
Using his arms to hop forward, Weavel extended a scythe from one of them and prepared to skewer the Captain with it. Falcon walked over casually and picked the bounty hunter up, then proceeded to tear both of his robotic arms out of their sockets. Then he set him back down with only his torso and head.
“Get back here! This isn’t over yet!”
"You’ve got no arms!”
“I’ll bite your ears off!”
“With your helmet?”
“Fine, then. We’ll call it a draw.”
Captain Falcon was about to blow the poor sap out the airlock and call it a day, but then a thought crossed his mind that made him grin.
“Let’s see what’s under that helmet, Weavel.”
“Naw, you don’t want to do that. Hey, what are you doing? Don’t come any closer! Not the helmet! No! NOOOOO!”
Captain Falcon pulled hard on the helmet. Everyone crowded around close to see what was inside. Finally, it came off with a pop.

Yes, I wasn't being insightful yesterday; I was pretty busy/stressed, I made several errors in the writeup of my own game, and we had five good suspects, two of whom I voted for. I think my vote switch doesn't need any explanation when it follows Seon (you know, the confirmed innocent scanner?)'s claim that we had a Serial Killer on our hands.

As an aside, this is my first experience with being a dead scum for more than a couple turns, and I must say it is excruciating. I remember I advocated the opposite in the Sigurd Star Wars game; there was all this evidence up and down that we could trust Psychonaut, and that since he was a doctor, he was too valuable and should be kept alive. Diamondeye is such a player, and the Samus team mafia is comprised of such players, that DE could very well have been inactive that night, specifically to avoid being caught by scan. Or otherwise not caught via scan. It's indeed possible.
Now, what is the likelihood of that being true? Didn't Doopliss need to be scanning in order to recruit Ironside, at least at some point?
Which is the better move, waiting on killing Diamondeye, or doing it now? Obviously if he's mafia, do it now. But could you determine that with more certainty later?

Night 8
When night came, the crew members were more nervous than usual. The death of Weavel had given them a good scare and a good laugh afterwards, but they found that since there were so few of them left, not one felt he could trust another. Each member of what remained of the GFS Olympus crew found his or her own private place on the massive ship to hole up in. If they remained grouped together in the crew quarters again, they risked being wiped out all at once.
U-Mos had taken up residence in the central mainframe chamber.
Inside, there still remained the tube of glass that had shattered when the Aurora Unit 242 was destroyed. Without the Aurora Unit, the room had virtually no purpose, and U-Mos believed that a killer would have little reason to look here.
Gorea, however, did not consider reason when it came to killing. The mechanical door to the chamber exploded suddenly, and through the crudely enlarged doorway walked the menacing creature.
U-Mos was surprised, but not unprepared. In his ancient language, he taunted the monster.
“Come, beast. Do you truly believe you can defeat a Luminoth Sentinel?”
Gorea roared with rage. It rapidly fired a beam of energy at U-Mos, who dodged out of the way with super-human speed and reflexes. The Luminoth then sped towards the monster and tried to strike out with his fists, backing them up with telekinetic strength.
The ancient beast was knocked backwards, but not truly harmed. The attack only made Gorea angrier. The orb at its center began glowing intensely, and it had blocked the exit so U-Mos could not escape. Just as it was about to fire, U-Mos braced for impact.
The blast had incredible power, but the Luminoth was able to withstand the blow. His Energy Tank, however, was drained entirely and shattered.
“It will take more than that to kill me.”
Seizing his opportunity, U-Mos pushed Gorea to the side with telekinetic force, and then rushed out of the room. Gorea was enraged at the escape of his prey.

Amaterasu the white wolf had taken to roaming a stretch of corridors in the lower section of the ship.
Since she had time and again proven she could outrun any other creature on the ship, it made sense for her to stick to a corridor with twists and turns to lose an enemy in. She continued pacing in one direction, when she saw, around the corner, an armored figure with a glowing red visor. As it drew closer, Amaterasu was shocked by what she saw.
What was the meaning of this? Hadn’t they already defeated the Hunter? These were questions Amaterasu longed to ask but would have had trouble doing.
“HYUK HYUK HYUK! Looks like we meet again, slick!”
A look of instant recognition passed over the wolf’s face.
“What? Didn’t Samus- I mean didn’t I ever speak to you before?”
Amaterasu took a second to bark a taunt at the odd Hunter before turning and sprinting in the opposite direction.
“HYUK HYUK HYUK! You can’t get away from me!”
The Hunter charged after the white wolf and held out the arm cannon towards her. After changing a setting, the cannon’s mouth opened up into an x-shape, and the four blades started spinning as the attack charged. Amaterasu was picking up speed and nearing a corner.
The Hunter fired the cannon, and a large Super Missile shot out of it, rocketing forward. But it appeared that the attack was too late, as Amaterasu had already reached the corner and turned it. But instead of continuing straight down the corridor, the Super Missile appeared to lock onto the white wolf’s heat signature, and simply rounded the corner to continue chasing her.
Amaterasu sprinted at top speed, but even she was not fast enough to outrun a Super Missile. It collided with Amaterasu, and exploded in an incredibly powerful conflagration. Even if the wolf managed to escape the brunt of the attack, the entire section of the corridor was destroyed and collapsed on top of her. There was no possible way she could have survived.
The Hunter heard the blast, and did not even walk forward to take a look at the destruction wrought by it. The odd Hunter cackled unsettlingly and left in the opposite direction.

The hero Link was in the Cargo Bay.
In order to fully utilize his sword and his tools, he needed a wide open space. The Cargo Bay was perfect for this, and it also provided occasional cover in the form of the large holding containers that were still stored in it. Link sat up against one of these containers. He was not used to staying awake during the night, and was about to fall asleep. A voice coming from the entrance kept him awake, though.
“PIKACHU!”
The Pikachu, with its glowing blue eyes, gazed at Link with a look on its face that was both playful and menacing at the same time. Immediately Link got to his feet and drew his Master Sword, defending himself with the Mirror Shield as usual.
Pikachu charged straight towards Link using blinding agility and leapt at its target. The rodent’s skull bashed against the Mirror Shield, and it was flung backwards into the air. But Pikachu landed on its feet, unfazed, and tried to pummel Link with physical attacks- its iron-strength tail, electrified head-butts, and any manner of attack that the nimble creature could pull off. Apparently it was wary of having its own attacks reflected back at it by the Mirror Shield.
But no matter how quickly Pikachu moved or from what angle it attacked, it could not break through Link’s guard without risking being skewered on the sword as well. Finally, in frustration it unleashed a Phazon-charged thunder shock. Much to both Pikachu and Link’s surprise, the electric attack bypassed the magical shield and struck Link from all angles.
“HYAAAH!”
The attack was nowhere near strong enough to kill the powerful hero, but it did make him drop his shield. With a sweep of its tail, Pikachu knocked it away. The mouse now pressed the attack with more electric shocks, which Link had to rely on his own reflexes to dodge. Faced with a new challenge, Link tried pulling out various pieces of equipment in the hopes that they would halt Pikachu’s advance.
First Link tossed a bomb at Pikachu, but the mouse easily shocked it while it was in mid-toss, causing it to explode harmlessly. The second bomb was deflected back at Link with Pikachu’s tail, and he dove out of the way to dodge it. Arrows were no good, either, since Pikachu was fast enough to see them, hear them, and dodge quickly. Finally Link tried his boomerang, but Pikachu electrified that as well, and when it returned to him, he caught quite a shock, causing him to drop his Master Sword as well.
“GYYAAAAAAAH!”
Now Pikachu was in pursuit mode. Link was basically defenseless and he stood no chance of outrunning the critter, so he whipped out his hookshot and used it to start zipping around the room. But the ever-devious Pikachu discharged a thunderbolt at the hookshot’s chain. The electricity traveled down the metal chain and electrocuted Link once more.
“KUH!”
Link coughed and grasped at his chest. No matter how many hearts he had, he wouldn’t last much longer. Triumphantly, Pikachu leaped into the air and launched a vicious thunder attack that shot up, tore through the air, and landed directly on Link.
“KYYYAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHH!”
Link screamed in pain as he was brutally electrocuted. When the lightning had coursed through his body, he fell straight back and lay still. His body bristled with static electricity.
Pikachu approached the body carefully. It had a contemplative look, and a few times it nudged Link’s side, perhaps in an attempt to get him to move. Receiving no response, it turned around and walked slowly out of the Cargo Bay- but not before turning around to take one last look. Through its glowing blue eyes, Pikachu looked almost sad, as if it had lost a friend.
“Pikachu…”

What faction would U-Mos be? Sounds like another attempt will take him out, if needed.
It appears Doopliss can not only assume the role of Samus, but also gain powers that CH did not yet acquire, as I distinctly remember him saying he did not have the super missile yet.
And it appears U-mos is yet again another neutral, judging by the the color of his text.
Hopefully he has a tad more pro-town role, instead of just be the last one standing like Gorea.

I dont know if this completely absolves him, I doubt that this ability is fool proof, during my first incarnation I was given an ability that blocks investigtions, but if he was able to block it I think I would have not been able to get shadow shield out of him. As such I dont think he's mafia or at least not one of the people killing last night.Quote:

Greyblades' scan of my defensive abilities is correct. And as you can figure, I was not attacked last night.
My role is a GF Demolition Soldier and I started without abilities. I got the Shadow Shield the same night many others got abilities, I believe I even mentioned it to Seon - not sure I said what defense, just said I got one.
Furthermore, I have no active abilties and have been inactive at night throughout the game.
Does that really make me the best suspect? I'm of a different impression. We need to get our act together; There are still one killer left on both mafia teams, and a serial killer on the loose (or, on leash, at least). On top of that, our top confirmed innocent was just blown away. We don't need to waste today lynching vanilla townies. We need to use it to lynch scum. Vote: dcmort - you've been of zero assistance throughout the game, and now, when people are starting to suspect you, you show up and jump on the bandwagon. Really?
