This council has to decide, where they will meet, about the schedule, and whether they want to have an interim and which authority this interim should have. I call upon every single one to post his decision.

Official statement from Ferdinand:

The Kaiser calls for the city of Regensburg and surroundings to be untouched by the French troops! The city will act as a supply base for the war against the Ottomans!

The election of the new Kaiser will take place in Vienna, as per the deceased Kaiser's last wish. The election will take place on the 25th of October. This should give all Electors time to get to the city.

@Warluster: if you wish to vote for who will be the next Kaiser, you can vote for it now. The candidates are in my post below. You can also choose policy:
a. only accept an election held in Regensburg
b. only accept an election held in Vienna
c. try to convince the others of election in Regensburg, but if it fails go to Vienna
d. try to convince the others of election in Vienna, but if it fails go to Regensburg
e. boycott the election in any case
f. go to the election wherever it ends up. If there are two councils and it isn't clear which council is the real one, don't go at all

The King of France accepts the decision of the electors. He congratulates Ferdinand and welcomes him in the circle of Christian souvereigns.

The French King also allows him to send his agents to negotiate terms for ceasefire and peace if he wants to.

Spain would like to suggest to the Holy Father to reconsider this, perhaps rash and ill-advised decision. The Notable efforts of the french monarchy in christianising Africa and his other colonial posessions are noted.
