Re: Out of character thread XIX
To be honest, I've already forgotten most of it. Sometimes people disagree, and if neither is interested in backing down, they end up retreading the same ground again and again until they say things they normally wouldn't have. It was only the stuff that spilled out into the open at the end that made me, not really angry, but disappointed, and will be hard to forget.
At any rate I doubt it will be repeated. At least, I have no intentions to repeat it.
I've known one or two people that could limit their time online and still manage to influence and be aware of everything going on in hotseats, and I envy them. However, there's no way I could manage the same.

Okay, deadline has passed. This one's gonna take a while to resolve.

I'm guessing this means that combat has begun.

Yeah baby!!!

Re: Out of character thread XIX
I haven't really had any interest in playing in pvp battles up to now, but I have to admit I'm pretty excited about this. :charge:

Re: Out of character thread XIX
Figured I'd post something OOC real quick so there isn't any confusion. I'm still not "back". I know I missed the deadline for the signup for the battle of Trent. I just didn't want to miss the opportunity to wrap up some loose story lines. Since the game is ending, I figured I could take creative liberty with Jan's immediate family. If I've overstepped my bounds, please let me know.
I'm up for "light" RP'ing and co-op stories if people wish. Just please be patient with me if I'm not online for a couple days at a stretch.
Good luck at the battle of Trent!
May the best Imperialist side win!
;)

Re: Out of character thread XIX
GH, I haven't received a PM asking me to deploy, am I allowed to do so?
-
Re: Out of character thread XIX
Yes, please do.
Be very quick about it though, as I was almost about to post the public feedback for Turn 3. I'll let you in, though.

Not at all. Contributions are welcome from everyone at this point, no matter which side wins. It's intended to be a fun send-off for the longest game of any kind the Org has ever seen.

Re: Out of character thread XIX
Okay, I have received Ignoramus's orders. I'm going to eat dinner, incorporate his deployment onto the map, and then post the public feedback for Turn 3.
If anyone has any new, additional, or clarification orders for this turn, I don't care if you are the Holy *#%!ing Roman Emperor himself or whatever his modern-day equivalent is (and I'm not talking about gibson), they'll have to wait until Turn 4.

Re: Out of character thread XIX
The Imperials will be selling brand-new high quality butts (at brand-new high prices) for the Republicans after we kick the crap out of their present ones.
Just remember, the offer's on the table.

Re: Out of character thread XIX
Great work GH - and proof you're not biased (not that I was worried in the first place)
-
Re: Out of character thread XIX
I'm rather confused by the engagement. Which unit belongs to who now without the colored lines? Figure you could frame them in their colors instead to make it more obvious?
-
Re: Out of character thread XIX
The units on the bottom are Republican, on the top are Imperialist.

Re: Out of character thread XIX
I have to admit having a little trouble telling as well, although I've been able to keep track of my own men easily enough. :charge:
-
Re: Out of character thread XIX
Okay, I've uploaded a slightly different map. Hopefully this will help.

Re: Out of character thread XIX
I gotta say, this battle is awesome to follow. Good job GH! :2thumbsup:
I can't wait to read the next turn...

Re: Out of character thread XIX
Well done PK:
Upon arrival you`ve managed to kick the Diet thread back into gear with a few well timed and context specific stories. These immediately got GH, TC and OK to respond which is a testiment to how much you contributed to the game as a whole.
It`s that type of role playing that is very very good for the overall story.
Well done all (and I also include OK, GH and TC).

Are you trying to make me blush? Because it's working...
Anyways, I know I can't affect the outcome of the battle but I saw a chance to tie up some storylines. The von Hamburgs have some unfinished business...
I never thought the Order storyline would be concluded. I thought it would just be left hanging. But when I came back and saw the whole Order plot was blown wide open, well I saw my chance.
Basically, Jan's whole political career just got validated. (from a very biased jan-centric point of view... ) ;)
And thanks to OK, GH, and TC for the "assist". If the Republicans win Trent, I got some story ideas to run past you guys. Alfgarda and kids are in this win or lose. :2thumbsup:

*sits back shiftily and hopes PK didn't see my crappy story about Jan's family :sweatdrop:*

lol, I read the ones you did beforehand so I wouldn't step on any prior storylines.
It's cool, no sweat needs to be dropped. ^_^

Hey, you'd be surprised how much time you have when you read at work and/or skip studying...

Re: Out of character thread XIX
Okay, deadline has passed. I am now going to work out the conflicts. This is definitely going to take a while, so I will take late orders for ten more minutes. Otherwise, I can't accept them as I'm going to have to resimulate everything - no way.

Re: Out of character thread XIX
Anyone else feeling a little nervous about the results of this turn? Smells like a critical moment in the early part of the fighting.
:egypt:
-
Re: Out of character thread XIX
Good luck GH! Keep it up. I can't wait to see the results, but don't rush it. We all greatly appreciate your work.
-
Re: Out of character thread XIX
It's a doozy, I can tell you that.
As of this moment the simulations are finished. I'm working on the map now (well, not now, I'm watching TV, but you get the idea). Once that's done I'll write the public feedback and then you can all gaze at the results in shock.

Re: Out of character thread XIX
Feedback going out now.
Gibson, you might have wanted to wait posting that story. :laugh4:
