You just have to keep them under control.

Brian: Just watch.
Woman: [running out of his house] I am not doing that, Glenn!
Quagmire: Come on beautiful, keep an open mind.
Woman: You're a sick man!
Quagmire: Hey keep it down, I don't want my neighbors seeing a fat, old, dirty whore screaming at me on my front lawn.
Woman: Whore?! Well, maybe I should come inside. [does so]
Quagmire: Well maybe you should.

Re: The secret crush thread!
actually its turning out very good... so far. Her and her boyfriend are becoming more distant and we are getting more and more into it. honestly she treats what she has with her boyfriend more like an obligation than a romance and i am (secretly) determined to have her be mine! ...who else will tell me what to do?
oh yeah and she kissed me first so its probably not like the experience of you other guys.

You're in the USA, right? I'm not sure about how "things work" there, but why doesn't she just break up with him?

Re: The secret crush thread!
Cause the her current bf probably is a major meat head, who will beat the ***** out of either him and or her. Causing more heartache than love.

Re: The secret crush thread!
no, its just she is is a nice, honest, and loyal girl. She is too afraid of what people will say about her if she drops her first boyfriend for the new one. but honestly he is a nerd, she is hot, i am stronger, better looking, funnier, and more receptive to her feelings imho. she could do better, and better does want her.
plus i am an MMA fighter and could kick his ass, and if he ever laid a hand on her i would destroy him.

So, why hasn't she dumped him?
EDIT: An unrelated question - are you from New Jersey?

A long time ago at this forum. You posted something or other (might have been about some gang?), and you mentioned it. I have a good memory. ~:)

Probably better you talk to her to get her to break up with him (she can tell him why, if it's safe), and settle it. Otherwise, it's going to keep dragging on, and eventaully he might get suspicious.

I'm not sure cheating is the right way to go, however, for two reasons. One, she could do the same to you, and two, it's probably better for your relationship in the long run to tell her.

Re: The secret crush thread!
Master of the puppets, as I have been reading this thread it seems quite clear that that you have quite the complex relationship going on. But what is really evident is your attempts to justify it, especially yourself. Morals don't suit everyone, nor should people be judged on whether they follow them or not, but you and the woman in question do seem rather happy together, you have a lot of fun, but since you say that you are the better man, it does beg the question of why did this woman date her current boyfriend? Now I have been in the same situation as you are, I was new to school last year and through the course of the year I developed a really strong relationship with the most amazing woman I have ever known. We became awesome friends, though at that point in time she already had a boyfriend. Now I was quite happy staying friends, but from her own words 'I was the better option' and she ended up leaving him for me. I don't really have the guts to be physical with some whom is taken, but it did tend to get that way and we did get pretty close at times though there was enormous restrain on my part. The bottom line is that its not a matter of which man is better, its a question of whom the woman is happy with, be it you or someone else. At the end of the day it is her decision and you have to respect that, sure you can influence that decision but it is up to her.
Sorry for the rant guys, Im not sure it actually makes sense to everyone but I just had to express myself a bit. I do hope all goes well for you MOTP, and to all the rest of you fine men here. May you all be blessed with a smart mind, a good heart and a beautiful woman.

Re: The secret crush thread!
My dad used to have a good friend who had been a mercenary in Laos, Burma, and Cambodia during the late seventies. An expert martial artist in every sense of the word, trained for ten years at a Kung Fu Dojo in China. When he was explaining to me the reliance of any martial art, he said it was good in a street brawl, but in his experience, that he has still yet to find the right system in which to dodge a bullet. So I've taken seven years of Judo, but I'm still leery about the fact that if a confrontation occurs the guy might have a gun, and knows how to use it. :smash:

Re: The secret crush thread!
thanks for the advice Sarathos, shes told me she has more fun with me. it's just a matter of timing, he was there first. home field advantage and all that. being a usurper is hard. lemme tell you.
oh and btw i kinda resent how people always bring guns into the subject of martial arts. The best thing about them is that you may carry them everywhere. Few people carry a gun, so i think i will generally have the advantage.

Re: The secret crush thread!
Whats the martial arts called where its based around guns?
-
Re: The secret crush thread!
Its fake, this might explani it a little.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gun_Kata
But martial arts is all about honour, it takes great courage and skill to defeat an opponent in hand-to-hand combat than simply with a gun. Therefore the victory is far more sweeter because it is earned.

Re: The secret crush thread!
I know its fake but the movies that use it own in the scenes

You mean CQC? It's a high-level technique developed for when you have to fight multiple enemies that are very close to you,or when you don't know from where you will be attacked. It is a total combat technique used when you are close to enemies and you have to be able to fight with your bare hands, knife, and gun accordingly.
Here's an interview with Motosada Mori about it: http://www.konami.jp/gs/game/mgs3/en...ystem_cqc.html

Re: The secret crush thread!
Well, as the saying goes: "There ain't no rules in love & war!"

Re: The secret crush thread!
As soon as you said CQC, I immediately thought of MGS...
-
Re: The secret crush thread!
lol, I can't tell weather or not to take that seriously now... ohh well I eat my breakfast with jake snake and super snake I should be fine.(its from a horribly written fan fic about MGS ' He lighted his cigar, and throw it on the metal gear and it catched on the fire.')

CQC is actually a real-world technique, even so far as the style used by Snake in MGS3 (and Motosada Mori is the real deal). Snake's movements, stances, and takedowns are all portrayed realistically,AFAIK.
