Nixalsverdrus: Mmh, I think Parmenides got drafted again by the High-King and is on the way to Antiochia, mumbling disrespectful statements into his helmet. So hopefully we will see him again in the next chapter.
Tellos Athenaios: Thank you!

It's great how you use all that traits in the story, even the rebel general gets a "background".

Hilarious stuff! One of the best comedy aars I've seen for any game.

Re: The world according to the Royal Pontic Satrapy of Ankyra / A Pontos midgame stor
Thank you for the kind replys!
Aldaemon and Methusaleah: Welcome to the story!
Lysimachos: I think this is what usually happens, when anyone "seriously" plays EB: You create several backgrounds for the characters and peoples in your mind and that makes the time float away so unstoppable, while you act around in this world, which is both self-created and determined by the game. I sometimes play EB together with a friend. That even more fun, because you can figure out the storyline together and mess around wth the characters.
Now, this last update is about barely 4 hours of gameplay and making it up took me much more time.Have to be careful, for the storyline is in danger to be split in too many parts, so that nobody would understand what's going on.
And Casticos became a poet. That was not planned, but now it is as it is...

Re: The world according to the Royal Pontic Satrapy of Ankyra / A Pontos midgame stor
The king is planning to stamp his name into the great book of history by subjugating the Ptolemaian Empire in a glourious Alexander-like campain. It's immortality in the memory of mankind, that he wants. He's not a modest man, as you know.
About the dangers coming with his plan he naturally thinks not. He's also not really a clever guy.I don't know what will happen, but I'm shure there will come hard times for Geraint.
I don't now the word "duped" means, so I'm not shure, if this answers your question properly.

Dear ezekiel, I'm sorry to say, that you'll have to wait a little bit longer, because by now I can't run the game due to serious problems with my graphic card and not time to solve it, not to talk about playing the game and fixing another update.

It is a shame that such a hillarious story fell off the first page!:shame:
Any luck with your graphic card? I would love to see this story continue! :2thumbsup:
And any luck with having some children from your adopted celtic generals?

Re: The world according to the Royal Pontic Satrapy of Ankyra / A Pontos midgame stor
Dear V.T.,
thank you for your kind request. Unfortunately my problems with the new graphic card semm to be an endless story. It has something to do with the nv04.dll-case, which gave me several bluescrees and frustrating hours in search of a solution in the last weeks, trying out different cards and drivers and so on. It's weird, sometimes everything works for hours, sometimes evil breakdowns happen.
But besides that, after a period of thinking it over, I had to decide not to go on with the story, because it simply costs too much time and energy, so that other projects in the sphere of unprofitable creative writing, that I'm on at the moment, would seriously suffer.
I'm not feeling too proud about that, because the AAR was quite promising and I also promised to go on with it, but it seems that I bit off more than I can swallow.
I also want to thank all the others, who followed the story.
Greetings, QK

Re: The world according to the Royal Pontic Satrapy of Ankyra / A Pontos midgame stor
Ive just read through the whole story, included the varius intra-chapter posts, very rare case for me (not cause im a sort of a snob or things like this, just cause to follow an on-screen story in english for me it's really hard, and after a while i feel really "exhausted", the better word to express it), but i must say that this flowed so well, i didn't felt any "weight", it had not any ingenuousness, and it keep me interested to read more... that's all is needed in a good thing, gave me a really good hour. What a pity for your last post... but you can always take it back as you feel inspired, when you wish and when you want...
salut!
EDIT: also i have to check if there is somethink translated in italian about QK, you got me curious!

Could it possibly be your RAM?

Obelics:
I think you're right, I always can start over again, when I feel like it. Anyway, thank you for you're detailed feedback, it's highly appreciated! (Especially because it comes from you)
Warmaster and Ludens, my thanks for you too
Rilder: Yes, could be my ram too. The problem is definetly not EB-Related, because it also occures in vanilla RTW, so I didn't ask for technical help here. I will take care about it, but not today, as I'm recovering from a party last night. Thank you for your help! (I think we should'nt go further into details, because the AAR forums are not the proper place for it.)
