Another WH Total War Mod! We need a Beta!

I think it's pretty clear for all to see now that this mod is pretty much closed down now sadly, such a shame all those awesome units that were created :(

If anyone is still interested in Total Warhammer, then the option is pretty much down to 1 mod now which is the russian mod.

They have some super cool units and some not so cool units but work is getting done all the time at least.

Wonder if Krazy and Alletun would possibly sell the units they have already created though, would be such a shame to see all that time wasted.

I have doubts that this mod is down for the count. On hiatus, maybe. And the Russian mod won't make it past beta unless they remove the stuff they jacked from Mark of Chaos.

Feinar, no offense, but I think it's kind of inappropriate to post these videos here in this forum. Why not just make a new thread of your own in the mod forums instead? I mean, this forum is for discussing this warhammer mod, not advertising yours.

Yes, they do have got some really good models and textures, but if you look closer, you an see that half of their stuff are ported from Warhammer Mark of Chaos... Which makes me lose all respect for them. Very strange, they have done some great original art, so I don't see why they need to port art from other games.

I really hope this mod comes out soon. I really want to kill some greenskins as the Empire.

Oh yeah, forgot to put this, but maybe if you guys put up updates or post some more screenshots more people would post here. I mean, if I were making a mod, I would want everybody to know how the progress is going and show them the progress.

If I was to make my own warhammer mod, I'd include 4 factions for the first release with mini campaign. I'd have etherything finished for the factions including the buildings then work on adding more factions and more campaigns :D. Factions I'd probably go for first would be, Empire, Orks, One of the Chaos factions, and Kislev. Having only one of the Chaos factions out of 4 also means it would be much quicker until the next part of the mod comes out :D. :laugh4::laugh4::laugh4:

So sadly this wonderous mod died? Please tell me thats not the case....at least give us a custom battles demo to amuse ourselves....

I have no idea wether it's dead or not. Krazy is working on it slowly, as far as I know, putting everything together to a working demo. I have no contact with him really, so I'm not sure at all if he's still working on it. Just remember that he's alone on this job atm, so have some patience :)

In the case that RL issues prohibit the release of the mod or demo beyond anything possible It would be nice if the current work would be released. Maybe someone else would pick it up?

What is it that makes this such a difficult endeavor?
I'm actually interested in learning what has made this so difficult.
We've seen some screen shots of models.
There are other large mods, true they use the same models but they have created and released their mods.
I play Arma a lot and that requires modders to make sounds, animations, new 3D models, new skins and lighting effects. New mods are released every day.
Are there just so few people interested? Or is it really much more difficult than I think it is?


P.S these are serious questions not mocking digs at people so please consider them.

I would love to see this mod be released even if they are just custom battles.
