Except that it was a hollow defence in the first place, which was exactly my point. A point, I might add, which you seem determined to miss.
And everything else you just said was little more than chaff - the kind of stuff you put up to make it look like you've got a real case to make.
Maybe I'm wrong, and you're innocent as can be. But if you think that obfuscation and misdirection are going to help your cause, then I'm afraid you are very much mistaken.

Your way of saying I can't be bothered to reply no doubt. I'm not putting things up to make it look like I have a case to make, simply because there is no case, infact this whole quarrel came about after you accused me and beefy of being mafia in a situation where most townies wouldn't even get a second look... Infact, whilst were on the subject of scummy voting, how about you changing your vote to save your own back even though you'd only been tied with someone, not even in danger yet feeling the need to protect yourself.
Anyway, I've replied to what you've said as well as I can, theres only so much I can say depending on what is it your accusing me of. I still don't see how I'm missing something given that I went through each part of what you said and replied to it. Not all of what I said related to you entirely, but some of it to subotan and some of it to myself.
Well the votings closed, I think beefys for the chop and despite everything, I am very happy with the result, I'm not referring to beefys death, but just everything that happened in the round.

Has anyone else been having trouble logging on to this site today as well? Typically I log on and then get sent to a database error.

Not me Methos. The forum has been working fine for me.
If it still giving you a hard time after a few try, perhaps you could post a thread on Watch Tower and ask if there is some ways of fixing them?

Re: Seven man Scrimmage 3: The Good, The Bad and The Ugly
Day 1 has ended! (Apologies for the delays!)
The seven inhabitants of the village had argued for what seemed like at eternity, the shadow of the village gallows growing longer as the sun sank towards the horizon.
When it finally touched it, there was a rather clear majority of the people pushing for the lynch of Beefy187. Beefy protested and resisted, but the mob dragged him towards the noose nonetheless. When he felt the wooden platform under his feet, Beefy realized that his final moment was almost there. With a forceful movement, he broke one of his arms free and reached inside his vest, pulling out a revolver. "Damn you all to hell, that gold be mine!", he yelled and pointed the piece at one of the men holding him, but someone else from the small crowd bashed the weapon out of Beefy's hand before he could shoot, and the weapon skidded across the sand. Soon thereafter, Beefy's figure hung from one of the gallows, noose tightened around his neck. The ecstasy of gold had cost Beefy The Bad his life.
It is now night! People with nighttime abilities, send me your orders!
Day breaks in roughly 30 hours!

Re: Seven man Scrimmage 3: The Good, The Bad and The Ugly
Night 1 has ended!
The village seemed silent - which was very understandable considering its few inhabitants and the fact that it was night - but actually, several persons were not sleeping.
Winston Hughes was celebrating what he felt was his catch of a villain of large proportions, sitting in the deserted saloon and pouring himself "just one more" brandy to celebrate before heading back to sleep.
Perhaps the alcohol had dulled his senses, or perhaps he heard the door of the saloon creak after all, but he didn't turn around as another figure entered. In the dark, the man's revolver reflected the scarce light as he raised it to shoot.
Three bullets in point blank range hammered through Winston's head and a fourth shattered the mirror on the opposite side of the bar. The assassilant quickly left the scene, repocketing his revolver.
On his way, the man stopped. Something was not right. He looked around the village a minute before he understood what. The light in Subotan's house was lit. The man hurried towards the house just as a loud noise erupted, followed by a series of shots. When Winston's killer tried to enter the house, he was violently pushed aside by the man leaving the house. They both fled before the dawning light to their own houses, but when the four remaining townspeople met at morning, they quickly went to check on Subotan. Sure enough, with six gruesome bulletwounds, the innocent man was draped in linen, stiff by his own dried blood.
It was clear that there were still people out there who sought the gold for their own and cared little for the lives of others, and so yet another noose was slung upon the gallowbar. Who would hang this day?
It is now day! Night falls in roughly 24 hours!
Please keep votes in the traditional format!

Re: Seven man Scrimmage 3: The Good, The Bad and The Ugly
Winston was right about beefy and he accused tm as well and now Winston is dead. I say we lynch tm.

GM Comment: Is this a vote? If so, please re-iterate it in the proper form ("vote: Dude!")

Vote: Thermal Mercury
I'm surprised no one else has given an opinion or been suspicious against someone.

Other than me, do you find anyone else suspicious?
-
Re: Seven man Scrimmage 3: The Good, The Bad and The Ugly
Lol! Other then Winston, I know none of you and no one has chatted with me even so much as a peep, so yes, I find everyone suspicious. Especially since there appears to be two killers rather then one. Currently, you [TM] seem to be the best option.

Re: Seven man Scrimmage 3: The Good, The Bad and The Ugly
Day 2 has ended!
The small crowd gathered below the newly noosed gallows. Two murderers had been busy that night and it seemed necessary to punish someone for these henious acts, but none of the four people seemed eager to throw the first stone.
Eventually, though, one of them said, more out of curiousity than anything else. "Well, it's gotta be you, Thermal Mercury."
That comment hung for a moment in the air before the others realized that Thermal did not try and deny it. Two of the men took hold of Thermal Mercury and dragged him to the gallows. He didn't resist, merely looked at the third person, his sole accusor, while talking slowly: "Aren't there anyone else you find suspicious?"
The men didn't listen and instead strapped the noose around Thermal Mercury's neck and lynched him.
As soon as they tied the ropes, however, Atheotes and Double A heard a suspicious sound. As they turned around. Methos was standing, a cigarette in his mouth and a revolver in each hand. "I don't s'pose you know where the gold is, so there's really no point in askin', huh?", he asked them - a quite rhetorical question considering he followed it up with a full salute that left the two men bleeding to death in the sand. He quietly reloaded his revolvers and put them away before trekking back towards the city square to begin his search for the gold - in solitude.
Methos the Ugly has won!
The innocents were outmanned two to one in the beginning of a nightphase that would have allowed a kill. All other powerroles had been eliminated and as such this was the only possible outcome of the game.
Congratulations to Methos for his victory, and thanks to all who played!

Well done! But I am so kicking myself, I could have ended the day prematurely and chose to execute someone, but I fell asleep lmao....
Anyway I would have executed the double a or someone, not methos so it probably would have made things worse....
Well played Methos.
And sorry winston.... ack...I did a terrible job with my role...

Re: Seven man Scrimmage 3: The Good, The Bad and The Ugly
Only base on getting me lynched was "TM and Beefy is guilty" Grawr...
I didn't suspect Methos.. I thought it was atheotes again. So congrats Methos :2thumbsup:
Thanks for the game DE!

Well played Methos.
It wouldn't have mattered. I couldn't die at night. If someone tried to kill me, I would simply lose my kill choice and instead kill my attacker. If for some reason you weren't lynched, I intended to kill you this night, so it would have worked out the same.

I'm curious as to how Winston figured it out. I had PM'ed him, but he never replied. What made you [Winston] correctly determine it was TM and Beefy? My first guess is TM errored somehow.
It was a great game, though I was rather shocked that no one participated the last day.

Quote:
Role: The Bad (Beefy187)
You're the bad guy. If you're thinking smoking - guns and cigarettes alike - dragging other people tied behind your horse through red-hot sand and stuff like that, you'd be right.
You're in it for the money. And in order to find the gold that the mayor hid, you need to concentrate. You concentrate best when you're alone, and it doesn't look like people are leaving the village by themselves, if you catch my drift...
Every night, PM me your night target. You will attempt to kill that person at night.
Quote:
Role: The Ugly (Methos)
There are bad guys in every fairytale, every town and every land. But ugly people are rare. You're not just villaineous, you're downright cruel. To you, the gold might be an attraction, but it is just as much an excuse for ridding the world of half a dozen cowardly beggars.
Of course, this means that few people like you, although even fewer people aren't too afraid to admit so. If you are tied with another lynch option, you will be hung.
On the other hand, your cruelty is matched only by your skill with a revolver. If someone tries to gun you down, they can expect a leaden surprise and a swift death.
Each night, PM me your night target. You will attempt to kill that person at night.
If you are attacked, you will kill the attacker instead of your intended target.
You lose lynch ties automatically.
Quote:
Role: The Good (Thermal Mercury)
What has the world come to? As soon as one villain leaves town, two more spring from the ground like weeds!
It might be that the mayor's gold attract these criminals, but luckily, the town (or village, more likely) has a protector in you.
You are determined to cleanse the town of its bad influences, and the best way to do so is to rip out any weeds by their roots, whether they die in the noose or filled with lead in their sleep is less of an issue.
Each night, you can choose to send me a kill target.
In addition to this, you can, one time during the course of the game, end the day phase early and decide who should be executed. This ability will reveal your full role to the public and very likely make you a night target, so use it with caution.
I would prefer if you posted the use of this ability in the thread, in the following format: End day, execute: Diamondeye
You win with the innocents.
I believe Thermal is referring to the "lynch control" that he could invoke. But as long as he did not pick you, the game would have ended the same way (since Methos would be able to kill Thermal).
I think it'll be a while until my next game, but one never knows

Re: Seven man Scrimmage 3: The Good, The Bad and The Ugly
I have a seven person mafia game ready to start, but due to the weekend, I'm not starting it just yet. I'll open the signup thread on Sunday, probably before we go to Church. The game will start on Monday.
