However, there is one that, although I've never played it, know it was considered EXTREMELLY dificult. I was surprised that nobody mentioned it.

a) Very pretty & stylish
b) Really, really hard.
I never finished the demo & I never bought the game.
Yes, amazing game. Too bad that I am WAY too stupid, I had to consult my walktrough for almost everyting. So I was really watching a movie rather then playing a game, but it was still wonderfull because of all the characters (Glottis is da man) and story.Quote:

No, it goes beyond hard. Its like a cryptic crossword. I know I'm not stupid, but cryptic crosswords baffle me. Even when the answer to the clue is explained to me, I think its pretty lame.Quote:

Thats what Grim Fandango was like. Your brain had to work in a lateral way. A really, really lateral way. So lateral it seems almost random.

I'd argue with you that it was good but it hasn't worked on my last 2 computers... On this one it's telling me my system requirements don't match up. I highly doubt a 1 year old computer would be prone to that...Quote:

I actually finished it without a walkthrough,was too dumb back then to check for one,but anyways,it took me a solid 6 months to figure out the puzzles.The most mind numbing gotta be the races stubs or whatever,you have to figure a date to proceed any further,lets say it took a big chunk of time to finish it.
Its a pretty hard adventure game.but it was fun non the less.

Actually there has not been a single 3D point and click wannabe that has been half as good as the old 2D games...broken sword 3 has been the closest, it's quite good but rather buggy, at least on the PS2.
Grim Fandango is in my view one of the best games ever made and without a doubt the funniest one. I really didn't find it that hard. Not that it was easy either but I found the difficulty fair. When playing this kind of games I strive to avoid hints as much as possible and as far as I remember I used them only occasionally, if I used them at all.
Unlike Froggy I found the transition away from point and click a great relief. Scanning the entire screen with a mouse and still missing the 1 and 2 pixel items is not my idea of fun. Manny only had to be close to items of interest for him to look at it and thus enable interaction with them.
This reminder of this classic may just get me to play it again. I may have forgotten enough of it to enjoy it again.
I didn't find Grim Fandango particulary humourous, but it was just all so suave I loved every character and the mexican mood is brilliant. Manny is one of the best heroes ever, it is just impossible not to adore him (por favor) and Glottis is the best sidekick ever. The dialogue was to die for (none of your business what I did in the fat days http://www.totalwar.org/forum/non-cg...ns/biggrin.gif ). The game grabbed me from the brilliant opening scene till the end. Too bad it was so DAMN HARD.
MAx Payne 2 on Hardest. You can beat it, but its hard as hell.
It reminds me of that mission in Medal of Honor (the Save Private Ryan landing), oh

Halo on legendary mode is probably one of the hardest things (gamewise) that I've ever had to do. It's nearly impossible to get through some of the areas where there is open fighting, because it's absolutely imperative to find cover. My advice, find cover, anything, and toss grenades like a madman. Also I would recommend using the assault rifle, but you have to have goood aim with it because the accuracy can be a little off...
