Best soccer player ever

Yup american football players are a bunch of really big men scared to take a hit.
So they wear pads to protect themselves. Then they whine about soccer players being weak. When the soccer team averages more injuries and dishes out more injuries a year than the football team at my school. American football is actually less rough than rugby. And trust me here in American its not your graceful english soccer. Soccer is a bloody, vengful, all out war here. We aim to kill each other out there. Add that with teen-age aggression and vengence, and it takes real men to play in the Highschool leagues.

Well i played in a high school league with mates in lunch times and in football team .Lunch time football as you never really happens in Uk. But now am at college i dont play football as much now

I'm sorry if this has already been covered, but it has to be said; we did NOT "invent" the word soccer. The British did to make a distinction between Rugby Football and Football. The fact that everybody assumes Americans made it up assumes me to no end.

unfortuanately he will not be in the 2006 germany wc. I am very very disappointed that he soon will be retiring from his soccer profession. He definitely is one of the best and will be remembered as one of the best.

well he was very very good, but he isn't as good as he was.
But he wil definatley be remembered.

If anything extending his carear has lowerd opinion of him slightly as you only look at his current form rather than when he was the most exciting talent in europe.

Who remembers that volley against Man U in the Champions League. Brilliant. ~D ~D

Well I still remember him during the world cup, the finals to be exact , in which he scored 2 goals .
Single handedly leading France to win the World cup ( versus Brazil )

The French international team is good but the french leagues aren't as popular as La Liga or the premiership.. Hmm?

But I remembered tha volley he scored with his left leg against Bayern Leverkusen during tha Champions League final!! What a goal, superb goal...

Speaking about him, I think he had achieved his football career more than enough, his task is totally completed. He's one of those good player to achieved that I might say.

yes you're right about that, it's to bad though.
I mean Olympyc Lyon ( sp ) is a great soccer team, and they don't ,and as a matter of fact the whole competition doesn't get the recognition they might deserve.

I find that exact problem with our Dutch competition, I always think no one knows about our league, ~:handball:

Someday they will, or maybe in the distant future ( when PSV wins the CL )

I hope Dutch and French football gets a boost but I also like Italian football.

Here in the UK, you hear next to nothing about Ligue de Professional (is that the title? sorry if I'm wrong I mean the French league) and Dutch (sorry I don't even know the correct title) leagues, a bit about Serie A, quite a lot about La Liga and loads (obviously) about the Premiership.

You say "our kids", that's my generation but I have enough football knowledge to talk a bit about Dalglish, Barnes, Keegan amongst other Liverpool greats..

in 30 years I guess peolpe will talk about Zidane and co , the way we tralk about cruijf and pele and those great players.

If it was Ryan Babel in stead of J.S. Park, it would have been 3-1 for PSV!
(Dutch_guy will agree with me on this one, but the rest probably doesn't know who he is! ~D )

PSV must just keep hoping, they were playing better than Milan, but just didn't score. Let's hope they do in Eindhoven, it would be good for th dutch again.
