Jon Stewart makes sense, that's what makes him funny. He makes too much sense, it's amazing that he's only a "fake" news man.
Ann coulter spouts lies and platitudes all over the place in this uncotrollable way, it's nowhere near as witty or *true* as Jon Stewart.
And no South Park is not conservative, it's a mix. Lebertarian I think it's called, you should know Gawain, you claim to be one.
I guess her and the papignion wearing guy are supposed to be funny because they are offensive and soooo over the top. Where is my freaken award for funniest member then?!?!?! :laugh2:
Seriously, I should be pretty funny to you guys. I'm sure some of you LMAO at some of my statements, but all you do is condemn me.

It's called prejudice. ~;)
They can't accept you as funny as long as you're not one of them.

Re: Ann Coultier, and Tucker Carlson are crazy mofos
South Park is funny. Ron White is funny (have you ever taken a crap so big your pants fit better?). Bill Hicks was funny (best comedian ever, if you can find one of his 4 CD's - buy it). Jon Stewart is funny. Even Rush Limbaugh is funny - occasionally, though not often (He was funnier when he was still addicted to oxycontin ~D). They are all entertainers who use humor to comment on social and political issues. They don't claim to be anything else, even Limbaugh (although his Dittoheads don't get that part).
Ann Coulter, or Andy or whatever, is just sad and pathetic. She isn't a satirist. She isn't a comedian. She doesn't bill herself as such. She isn't presented as an entertainer. She's presented as a right-wing pundit who "knows" something. She's presented as an expert commentator on issues. She spouts nonsense as the truth, and the gullible eat it up.

Lol, dont you lefties see that you're just playing her game?
The more you work yourself into a frenzy and feel the need to proclaim her "unfunny", the funnier it is to me and Gawain and other conservatives.
You guys get in such a mood whenever Coulter is mentioned, and thats just what she sets out to do. ~D
We conservatives are just laughing at how serious you take some powerless woman who says outrageous things. Its almost like youre intimidated or something. :laugh4:

Powerless PJ you know thats bull shes a poster child for the "stupid fat american" she may not carry much power politicly but shes a bad image and by god she is not a comedian and comes off like a spoiled brat every time some one refutes one of her many dumb and zealous points

"We conservatives", eh? What are you some kind of special breed of human, or are you somekind of ideologists? As far as I can see Bush can be just as stupid and offensive as Coulter. Is he a joke to you conservatives as well? ~;)

Hmm.. I see, your pride is great, just like our president George W. Bush's. May I remind you that pride is a double-edged sword, and that right now, that pride, especially that of the president's, is cutting and harming everyone and everything but the real enemy?

"Our enemies are innovative and resourceful, and so are we," he said. "They never stop thinking about new ways to harm our country and our people, and neither do we." Washington, D.C. 08.05.04
So true, maybe it was a Freudian slip? He's very good at those little slips of the tongue that ring more true than what he probably meant to say. Like this:
Quote:
"See, in my line of work you got to keep repeating things over and over and over again for the truth to sink in, to kind of catapult the propaganda." --George W. Bush, Greece, N.Y., May 24, 2005
Or how about his mangling of common expressions?
Quote:
"Free societies are hopeful societies. And free societies will be allies against these hateful few who have no conscience, who kill at the whim of a hat." --George W. Bush, Washington, D.C., Sept. 17, 2004
I knew Bush liked getting campaign funds from Ob/Gyn's, but I didn't realize he thinks many of them really "love" their work!
Quote:
"Too many good docs are getting out of the business. Too many OB/GYN's aren't able to practice their love with women all across the country." --George W. Bush, Sept. 6, 2004, Poplar Bluff, Mo.
English as a second language - for Bush, anyway:
Quote:
"I want to thank you for the importance that you've shown for education and literacy." --G.W. Bush, Washington, D.C., April 13, 2005
What?
One of my personal favorites:
Quote:
"Perhaps the biggest problem is that we have passed children from grade to grade, year after year, and those -- child hadn't learned the basics of reading and math." --Washington, D.C., Jan. 8, 2003
Apparently, it wasn't just recently that children were being passed from grade to grade without learning the basics, such as how to use the plural form of words like child. Where did this goober go to school?
And how can we forget the funniest and most jaw-droppingly ignorant speech ever given by our glorious leader?
Fool me once mp3
Yes, he's much funnier than Ann Coulter. And much scarier.

Re: Ann Coultier, and Tucker Carlson are crazy mofos
Haha. I didn't know how to reply to Gawain for saying that I need to see the optometrist, because frankly, I think it's pretty obvious to everyone BUT conservatives how stupid George Bush really is. I mean this guy is like the Homer Simpson of American politics. The complete caricature of a dumbass.
Gawain; Panzer; rebuttle?
Oh and one more thing, if people take Bush seriously, I'm absolutely convinced they take Coulter seriously as well. She's just more arrogant in her rhetoric.

Re: Ann Coultier, and Tucker Carlson are crazy mofos
Nobody but you said he was a genius.
If rich influential daddies got you elected president, how come the only other father-son presidential duo was in the late 1700s or early 1800s?
Bush Sr. isnt even that influencial. He was a one term president that split the republican party and allowed Clinton in. I personally believe he was a much better president than the current Bush, or Clinton, but many dont think very highly of him.
-
Re: Ann Coultier, and Tucker Carlson are crazy mofos
I know little of internal policies of USA, but has Bush done something good, or marvelous? I think that this is what really serves to judge him, the things he may say in public doesn't talk about the politician in all the picture, it just show us the demagoge.

I think I read in a thread somewhere that you are still quite young, but if so, you are quite wise for your age. Well said.
I had thought about commenting earlier in this thread, but enjoyed watching folks blow off some light hearted steam. I've gotta say, Jon Stewart rocks. While his emphasis is hard on the conservatives, he does direct his fire both ways. This is not O'Reilly, or Limbaugh. Most importantly, he is funny. And I get a kick out of the "Redneck" comics on Comedy Central too...

Re: Ann Coultier, and Tucker Carlson are crazy mofos
As for owning his own baseball team, well...
He had a minority stake in the team, which he purchased with borrowed money. He was sort of a mascot, being named managing partner in spite of having one of the smallest financial stakes in the company. They used him for his name and stuck him in the front office so he could go to games and pick his nose on camera (don't make me dig up that lovely video ~D ) When the team was sold to Texas billionaire Tom Hicks, Bush made his first profit - ever - in business. In spite of having been on the board of directors or president of 5 previous companies - all of which failed. ~D
What did Hicks get out of buying the team for inflated prices, while Bush was governor, making Bush a multi-millionaire while he was governor? Not much, except massive tax concessions. But he'd already been getting richer. When Dubya became governor, Hicks who was one of his leading campaign contributers was appointed to run UTIMCO, the University of Texas Investment Management Company which was formerly called the Permanent University Fund. It is the monetary fund established by the state to partially fund the state universities. The fund gets its money from the Permian basin oil field deposits which just happen to lie under land granted to the PUF/UTIMCO by the state legislature. As chairman of UTIMCO. Hicks was in charge of deciding who received lucrative investment contracts from the fund - and proceeded to dole them out to all of his rich buddies and Bush's campaign contributors, like the guy who loaned Bush the money to buy his stake in the team in the first place. It's all one big happy circle of cronyism and slurping at the public trough. ~D When the Houston Chronicle newspaper exposed the dirty laundry at UTIMCO in 1999, Hicks had to resign. ~:)

What does that have to do with anything the senate elects the presdinit just as much as the cia does face it pj GW would still be drilling for oil in odessa if he didnt have a rich daddy

Couple of reasons:
1. I've got more ethics than that, a terrible affliction that I'm finding might be incurable. If I could let my ethics go I could become wealthy off of what I find personally unethical, but apparently legal.
2. I don't have the family connections. Born poor and white, haven't had any coat tails to ride, nor much of a support network. Doing better than any of my ancestors though, so I'm satisfied. ~;)
3. I don't aspire to it. See #1. I'm what you might call a "reluctant leader" I take up leadership only when there is a crisis or I find that I'm the best suited for a critical task. I'm there when needed, advising otherwise. Power doesn't turn me on I guess.

That is such a ridiculous thing to say. There are plenty of people with fathers who are much richer than GHWB who cannot make it in politics. Youre acting as if youre trying to compensate for the fact that you wont be as successful as GWB by saying its all his father's doing.
Not even Reagan would have had the clout to get his son elected if he didnt have some initiative and intelligence of his own. A measely one term president whose own party abandoned him would have a hard time masterminding GWB's election victories.
-
Re: Ann Coultier, and Tucker Carlson are crazy mofos
Or, maybe the powers that be within the Republican party found GHWB much too independent and intelligent for their liking and decided that using a convenient dolt with the same last name for recognition would really be better. Enter the man I like to call... a sock puppet in a president suit. ~;)
