I had several lesbian friends back in California, and traveled with one several times. We were excellent traveling partners and had great fun together (eventually she even asked if I'd be willing to donate sperm for her baby--I respectfully declined).

I spent one Christmas with six of them (including my traveling friend; I was the only guy in the group), at Sea Ranch on the northern California coast. It was one of the most enjoyable and memorable Christmases I've ever had. We teamed up for a massively excellent dinner, teamed the clean-up in 20 minutes, and spent the evening in front of a roaring fire: telling stories, drinking mulled wine, and watching "Christmas Story" and "It's a Wonderful Life" on a tiny black and white TV while splayed all over the floor under warm, fuzzy blankets. I even got a double rainbow with my morning coffee on my birthday the day before.
