They do, and it is wrong. But i have to say, America being the greatest country ever (as says your location text) is highly, HIGHLY, debatable...

And every people on earth are reliable on their government... Don't make out like the people of Britain are government reliant suppressed serfs because that's simply not the case... You know how much the dole is these days? £70 a week... That's £70 a week to pay your gas, electric and water bills, phone bills, television license, TV bills (if you have sky or cable), buy clothes, food and other life essentials... As well as enjoy life!

Add it all up and you'll find that £70 a week isn't nearly enough to enjoy life to even the smallest extent with, so don't say stupid things like the government are making us more and more reliant on them by doling out JUST enough money each week to get by...

I'm not saying it's bad... I think America is a wonderful country... One of my things to do before i die is visit every state in America in under a year... You know like a tour.. But on the whole, i would say that the British government is more sympathetic to people who have no education or money... Whereas in America... No job... No money... Simple as that... At least in Britain you never have to worry about not having a home or money... Because if you go bankrupt and lose your home, you'll get a council house rent paid for free, and enough money each week to get by for as long as it takes for you to get a new job and back on your feet...

Anyway, you just have to be a little hardworking to succeed in America. It's not like other places where you can work extremely hard at the bottom and not go up.

Well I'm 20 years old and about to attend college where I aspire to major in ancient history:book: . It's already a hobby of mine thanks to RTW~D so hopefully I get great marks but you never know. After college I'll either continue down the path of a wise historian or I'll pursue my dream and move to Hollywood with my cousins who like me are aspiring actors and hopefully I'll catch a lucky break like them.~:cool:

America was a lot smaller than the United Kingdom and her colonies until very recently.

Anyway, lay off the insults. They're pretty pointless over the internet and you must admit that I made a valid point. Motivation drives success. An idea of being well off already leads to slacking off and poor performance.
