I admit it was a good collection of very bad music.
I like Mika's grace kelly, Scissor Sister are pretty good, with the exception of comfortably numb. Since i'm part of the nirvana generation I feel i should stick up for them too, but all I can think of is "They were neither as good or as bad as is often claimed", they were a little different but if kurt hadn't blown his brains out they would have faded from popularity imo. There are much beteer 90s (grunge) bands anyway.
I'm a bit eclectic when it comes to music, I tend to like a lot of different things, that said, there are exceptions:
Britney: Toxic is one of the most horribly songs I ever heard, and please don't let that woman sing another ballad.
Celine Dion: I really dislike wailing in a ballad
Punk bands like Sum41 featuring 16y olds with way too much tattoos recycling 'rebelious' music from 30years ago, badly
Emo bands, if only for the constant complaining (At the drive in gets a pass)
Almost everything that comes on the Belgian show Tien om te zien, Andres posted some examples, here's another one
Abba. :smash:
I'm sorry, but they recorded some of the best pop songs ever put on record. You may not like it, but it's a fact.
Plus the blonde one was a bit of alright.
Abba. :smash:
1. The-Band-Consisting-of-John-Paul-George-and-Ringo. And before this recent trend, I only felt apathetic to them. So ha.
2. Collective Soul. Their new single is the most blatant piece of "this is commercialized, play me!" that I have ever seen.
3. Emo bands.
4. Bob Dylan. What's the point of great lyrics if you can't understand what the :daisy: he's saying?
5. Motley Crue.
6. Scissor Sisters, for reasons already mentioned.
7. Anything that Andres has posted in this thread.
8. Nickelback.
9. Eric Clapton, not because he's bad, because I like him, but because I hate that song "Lay Down Sally" or "Way Down Sally" or whatever it's called so much it deserves inclusion on the list.
10. Beach Boys.
11. Boy bands.
12. Current "bubblegum pop" bands.
13. Rolling Stones. They're an awesome band, but I swear, if Mick lets one more song of his be used in a commercial (especially "Gimme Shelter") then they will rocket to #1 on this list.
I'll put more down when I think of them.

Basically, I don't like anything GH likes. :D
Abba. :smash:
InsaneApache. :smash:
STOP! Hammertime! :smash:
Milli Vanilli and Yoko Ono (she plays a mean cat). They'd have you begging for the death penalty.Quote:

Whats with all the anti-Zep? Best rock band evar.
Okay, thought of some more.
14. ELO. They just suck. I hate them. So much. Don't know why I didn't think of them before.
15. John Mellencamp
16. All country music (but not bluegrass!)
17. Aerosmith. Way too overplayed, and they don't have enough good material for it to be worth it.
18. They Might Be Giants, because it's just not funny anymore.
19. John Lennon. He deserves another mention for his solo work alone. Can't stand the lyrics.
20. Any movie actor who has ever formed a band as a side project (Jack Black is exempt, Russell Crowe is not).
21. Celine Dion, because I was subjected to forced listening of her music in French class. Ugh ugh ugh ugh ugh x5000.
22. Def Leppard. They should really be farther up on this list, but they're here. Oh, how I hate them.
Okay, I'll stop there for now. I know I'll think of some more.
Bet your teacher wanted you to hate french... Forcing that in kid's ears is a crual method. English private school?Quote:

Just off the top of my head...
- Hootie and the F---ing Blowfish - Sonic diarrhea
- REO Speedwagon - They're like a big, smelly ball of government issued cheese being shoved into your ear canal.
- Bruce Springsteen - Some of Bruce's early stuff is ok but I guess I don't get it, never got it and hopefully never will. Whenever I hear his music on the radio I can't change the station fast enough.
- Alice in Chains - I loved their first album, or at least the good songs of their first album... which amounted to two or three tunes. When they released their next album I realized they were quickly going to corner the market on depressing, monotone grunge/metal that is appreciated by people suffering from severe head trauma.
- Linkin Park - Living proof western civilization is in decline.
- Crash Test Dummies - WTF?!? I say again, WTF?!?
- U2 (post Achtung Baby) - Let's face it, they suck now. They suck hard and long and won't stop working that collective jaw until they mercifully break up the band. They jumped the shark right after Achtung Baby and for the last 16+ years have become skilled experts in churning out electrified bovine excrement. I can't believe this is the same band that did War and The Joshua Tree.
N-sync
Backstreet boys
Gwen Stefanni (dumb ass woman)
Timberlake (timber%$#*)
Simple Plan
Usher
50 cent
Britney Spears
Jessica Simpson
Most other Rap
Most New heavy metal (all they do is scream)
and a whole bunch of other whiney crap

Back in 1980, at the height of the Hi Infidelity craze [resists throwing up], REO headlined a Day on the Green at the Oakland Colosseum. I was there to see one of my favorite bands at the time--Kansas, and a couple of other good groups--Gamma and UFO. Kansas played just prior to REO, and blew the entire stadium away. People were just going crazy after their set. Then REO came on, started playing "Heard It from a Friend" right off the bat [throws up], and a good third of the huge audience left immediately. It was hilarious.Quote:
