Um, no, because you never see the clouds in RTW, and we cannot create a new cloud layer.Quote:

Why not delete Vanilla clouds, then, to reduce lag/filesize?
I don't think we can.Quote:

I don't get what you mean. Why are they wasted? Their shadows appear as normal on the sea, but it would be stupid to have the clouds themselves visible to the player as it would mask the campaign map.Quote:

Oh right, so you do get cloud shadows in Vanilla. I just never noticed TBH.
Also, I have a few questions:
Cheers! :beam:
- What is the difference between Disease (like in Vanilla) and Epidemic Disease?
- Would it, technically, be possible to delete Terhazza? I realise you use it to store triggers and things, but does RTW allow land that isn't part of any province (because I saw that you moved Arabia to Terhazza's province, so I'm not sure)?
- Which voicemod(s) will be completed in time for the next release (or which are you reasonably confident will be completed by then)?
1. Nothing, its exactly the same. We just named it differently. It will only appear in cities on important trade routes though, to represent the danger of having so many peoples moving through them.Quote:

However, of interest, is the small group of islands to the in far south-east corner, which don't seem to be part of any province, which would suggest that it was possible.
3. I don't think any of the new ones will be, or they will have their work cut-out for them if they are. There one or two which have the translations done, but no voice-work as of yet.

Aren't those part of Qataban or Hadramaut? They are in the current release.Quote:

Indeed. Are they part of a province?Quote:

Apparently.
It mostly doesn't scan, but if you right-click on the extreme tip, it says the land is part of Maketa.Quote:

For some reason none of the pictures work for me, saddens me.
It could have something to do with your firewall settings. Try swichting off the blocking of referrals.Quote:

The grey-continent blue-water type of map, with just the boundaries and cities and province names marked out without topography, is just the right kind I want, but I can't seem to find it anywhere. Can someone post it here, if it has been made?
Also, can I ask, what changes exactly have been made to Serdike and Hekatompylos? I'm not sure I see a difference with what has gone before... o.O
Just name changes for those two provinces pez. I'll try to put a ".gif style" map up soon. Anything particular on it you'd like or not like?
Wow...just...beautiful. I am endlessly impressed by how much stuff- historical trivia, unrivaled eye-candy, new ideas, faction revamps- is to be found in EB. The new map looks brilliant, the Phalava are suddenly much more promising, and, yet again, I am simply blown away by how hard the EB team works, and how much they've accomplished. Good work guys! :balloon2:
Oh my. ^_^ Just province boundaries, province names and city names the way you did the original .72 gif map would do, really, TA. Wouldn't trouble you to do anymore than that. xP It has to be simple enough that I can see everything when I print out the huge map on an A4 map with everything scaled down...
For everything else after I finish the basic map, I can refer to the ancient style one. Did I tell you for map drawings, the two types of maps complement each other very very well?
And hmm, I thought in the 0.82 version, the Hekatompylos province was still called Parthyaia... so it says on my wall map.
I had changed the name on my map already (to Parthyaia), but the game name hadn't changed until recently. And then we also changed Hekarompylos to Hekatompylos too.
I realized I misspelled Kirtan (Kirtsan on the antique one). Crap.
Oh well, here is the corrected version, in the gif format:
These previews are so great, I'm really looking forward to the next release :)!
Just one question about the map: I see that Hattolandum has been renamed to Mrog Arctagone, which sounds celtic to me - so does this mean that the culture / recruitment of this region has been changed from germanic to celtic?
A thousand thousand thanks for the map! Now my wall's going to get some new decor. Oh yeah. ^_^
That Mrog Arctagone is a complicated province. I think recruitment will stay the same for now, and even the generals in it, so it would be becoming a Germanic province more as soon as the game starts (though the starting culture/creator/buildings would be Celtic). Anthony or someone will need to respond with anything more, but I don't remember seeing recruitment changes submitted or mentioned. Anyone else know?
Hmm, why the sudden change?
Thanks Teleklos, thats basically what I wanted to know.
I suppose the change is because it is difficult to tell which tribe in that area was actually celtic or germanic at the EB starting date.
I noticed that nothing has been changed on Serdike, but the town just north of it. Seems like Naissos has moved bit west next to the riverbank.
Worked! Thank you!Quote:

I don't think recruitment was changed either, because the point was accurate portrayal at 270BC, so just starting units/culture were changed with the name, but the implied migration/developments of nearby early Germanic peoples is still to be represented.Quote:
