edit: this is entirely wrong! ah, you are right AussieGiant, it's all wrong. I shouldn't post things I'm not sure about.

Tamur said he would help me draw one if he had time this week. I hope that comes to be!

lol! I hope not. Though Horst would not mind for all the sales that would bring. ~:cheers:Quote:

No one ought to feel the slightest bit guilty for not coming in there. Or should that be, every one should not feel guilty for coming in there? Or maybe, nary a person should feel no guilt for not coming in...
I'm confused now, time to go to bed again and start the day over!

Can anyone tell me what a "Swordbearer" does for your retinue?
Now I've got five of these guy's. :dizzy2:
Basically someone to give you a spare sword when your's breaks or possibly to carry your ceremonial sword around.
He does give you personal security though, so that's always nice.
Ituralde, what the hell are you up to m8?
Is Theadora that unpleasant?
Only the future will tell, which Empire profits more! :beam:
Indeed it will Ituralde.
Just to let all know, I will be away for 5 days on a camping trip.
Have fun, Warluster.
Don't forget to update your status and have fun.
Hey, hey, I'm posting from School!
1st day of new program, I'll fight my battle later today. Hope I haven't held the game up too much
No you haven't it's been a quiet weekend on the threads. I hope everyone was out enjoying the last of a summer weekend. I know I was and now it's getting ready for the routine back to school or work depending what your up too.Quote:

Karl Zirn
Gerhard Steffen
Dieter Bresch
Edmund Becker
The other *counts on fingers* thirteen active players are unmarried, many in their mid-thirties and some even in their fourties.
I have to question why on earth anyone living in this time period would decide to stay unmarried past twenty! Either one had children or one slowly starved after passing fifty years. I guess everyone here is connected to nobility somehow, so starvation isn't a factor. But heirs are.
It seems exceedingly strange. I hear that the players have no control over this, but someone really should fix that.
Also consider 3 of the above were "force married" using princesses.
The files I gave out should increase the marriages rates somewhat (albeit very little), but it really is outside our control without modding the exe file itself.
Generally the game keeps a ratio of how many family members there are to provinces we control. More people aren't married because the ratio is stable now, according to the game, and it doesn't want to throw that equation out of whack by allowing for the possibility of people having kids.
Obviously, it's not that good for our situation but we've found ways to RP around it.
The reason there are limits on such things is so nations don't go bankrupt paying for 'General's Bodyguards'.
I had that happen to me in a Deus lo Vult campaign. Quite irritating, though I suppose it was partially my fault for accepting marriages and adoptions.
Just a note (and question) on the current situation... I'm pulling in some actual historical information rather than entirely game-related events, simply for colour in the Diet. Is that all right?
I think we broke off from the actual history bit in, oh, 1082. But we still might be able to translate it into a good RP situation.
Have the recent past Chancellors ever seen Byzantine diplomats or Princesses anywhere near the Mongols? Did the Mongols ever officially declare war against the Greeks?
If the answers to both of those questions are "yes" I think we have ourselves a situation here.
Hey Olymp, what was that note about?
Can't you just tell OOC, I tend to forget about simple messages like these and delete them.
I'll be back home soon. It seems some battles still need to be fought, so I'm tacking on another 24 hours. After that, they'll be auto-resolved.
Just wanted to say this:
!%@$# the investigations

Of course it is! :2thumbsup:Quote:

We certainly do ~D
lol! Blast, caught out at third base! Ah well, Fritz was definitely asking for it. Now he gets to play wait for 1300 and rabble-rouse at the Tavern.
Might be too early for a judgement, but I think this might be worth a read for the future of KOTR.
Ironically, I had just talked to Lusted about this a few days earlier and was told there should be no problems. Looks like there might just be.
You sure that's the correct link, I would have expected some mod.
Factionheir is worried about our 1.2 saves being compatible with 1.3 and vice versa. I'm going to test it out tonight - I'll try a 1.2 save in 1.3 and then create a new save in 1.3, asking someone without 1.3 to download it and try to load it.
