My girlfriend just downloaded EB, she seems quite happy with it.

Anyway, in the spirit of the question, I'm fine with him playing EB, really, plus the history lessons on the side. They're fascinating. In moderation.
You mean you're with Pezhetairoi? And even visit our forums? Pez, don't ever do anything to lose this one.

Re: What you say to your girlfred, wife, mother, when you are going to play EB:)
I should hope he doesn't. :smash:

( Me thinks Pezhetairoi and Karielle are both very lucky)
For the record, I echo Bovi here, 300%

Yup, that's my Makedonian beauty ^_^ Precious, ain't she? I'm willing to bet we're the first Org couple to BOTH play EB, heh. Romani and Makedones... Quite a civilised match, I should say. *gives karielle a hug and puts away framea* The time for being a frameharjoz (or whatever it is in the singular) is not now. Civilisation is the way to go :) And she doesn't visit, she lurks :D

I rather prefer the Aedui (Iaosatae! Gaesatae! Brihentin!), really, but hey, that still works out. ;D

Re: What you say to your girlfred, wife, mother, when you are going to play EB:)
My girlfriend is living for now at great distance from me, unfortunately. We met not too often, due to the distance and due to many problems... ~:(
My mother has no problem with me playing, she helped me get RTW in the first place as a gift for my birthday.
I play EB one hour per day on average, or so... i think gaming more than 2-3 hours per day does bad things to your health , also. I guess as the University starts and i will move away, i will play maybe few hours per month, or so.
When i`m with my love together, i feel no need to play, no need to do any other thing than stay with her ~:) In those moments, i am much too romantic to think about games and stuff.
-
Re: What you say to your girlfred, wife, mother, when you are going to play EB:)
One hour a day?!?!?! Way too little, man, way too little. There's just enough time to fight one battle! And what if you're in the middle of a raging war, with three battles a turn at least? What then?!?!?! *panic* You need to play more!
Unless, of course, you're being romantic. But then again, there's romance to be found in the musical clashes of gaesatae and cohors reformata ;-)
-
Re: What you say to your girlfred, wife, mother, when you are going to play EB:)
One hour per day is around 2 normal turns for me.... ~:)
When war starts, then i play maybe 2 hours or so, but only one turn for battles, and such. And off course, there are some days when i play even 2 to 3 hours, but such things happen only a couple of time per month.
Problem is that i have so very little time to play ~:)

Just remembered to put in my gender-sympathetic two cents on this. To be completely honest, that was my first reaction too.. I'm still in love with most of the cavalry in the game, especially cataphracts and horse archers, and am still inclined to go "cute horsies!" when I see them as well. I suppose it could be attributed to the amazing modeling, but they're so squealworthy, sometimes. I especially enjoy zooming in and watching them move into action.. It's just lovely. It's no wonder I always have a sizeable cavalry force. :charge:

Cheers...

She's not mentioning the rest of it. She isn't saying -which- part of the horsies she was fascinated about. ^_^

..Quite far removed from the manly cataphracts, but still. Aren't they just the loveliest things! xD

Re: What you say to your girlfred, wife, mother, when you are going to play EB:)
Yes, very cute. I tried riding for a while, and was surprised to find out how rich and likeable personalities most horsies have compared to most smaller pets - you can have more meaningful conversations with horses than cats and dogs... not to mention a lot of human beings :shame: ...
-
Re: What you say to your girlfred, wife, mother, when you are going to play EB:)
Damning indictment of humanity, that is. But so true, so true. Sadly to say most of the people we can have intelligent conversation with are here on the Org. XD How many other people can we talk to about Sauromatae and Libyan spearmen, eh?

(And as to the topic, suffice it to say that Wife 3.0 despises EB with every fiber of her being. In our house, it's known as "that thing".) :sweatdrop:

I play all I want because it is just me and my college roommate!
... I made myself sad.

Re: What you say to your girlfred, wife, mother, when you are going to play EB:)
Wife has no problems with me playing if I give her tribute, a pair of shoes each month!!!! and a shrubbery!!
Seriously though, I work night shifts so I manage to squeese in couple of hours after work when she has gone to work herself and I only work biweekly so when she's working I have 8 hours to myself a day....mwuhahahaha, so long as I cook her supper when she comes home she doesn't mind....

It's not like we call shoes or spending hours at the hair dresser "that thing".

Wow, you're so lucky I'm totally envious.
My girlfriend tolerates me playing and she even pretends to be interested but I can see right through her act.
Fortunately we're both in medicine. If she wants to hang out and I want to play I simply tell her that I have to study for the consultant rounds. :laugh4:
I give her a lot of my free time though... I already give her around 50% and the rest is for sleep, play, buddies, and anything I can squeeze in but she wants 100%.

No. This breaks my heart, and it makes my scalp go all bare.

Re: What you say to your girlfred, wife, mother, when you are going to play EB:)
i wish i could get my gf to play EB.... but of course, she isnt really interested..... but i havent played EB in a while... our relationship has intensified, and school and wrestling hasn't made anything easier.... but me doing wrestling has given her s/t to feast her eyes on...... :gorgeous: :2thumbsup:
anyhow, when i want to play EB i just tell her the truth, and she usually watches me play (shes pretty cool), but when were doing stuff she doesnt like it when i just want to stop and play EB.... ah well!
-
Re: What you say to your girlfred, wife, mother, when you are going to play EB:)
I assume by wrestling you mean Graeco-Roman, and not WWE ;-)
Mm, horses are cute, you know. karielle's in love with your horse, Persian! Why does it give you a balding problem?
