looks like it aint catching on. o well, i tried haha
I'd give it another day or so, just in case. I made a post in there to make sure the thread doesn't slide off of the first page any time soon.
To my fellow players, I wouldn't take anything from that post as bearing on the actual game, I just quite literally pulled it out of nowhere while trying to think of something interesting to say. :clown:

No one said that the people in the salon had to be right! :laugh4:
Indeed. It's much more fun when they aren't . :clown:Quote:

im glad its becoming a little more popular, this could be an interesting idea after all
Well I figured the players could help breath new life into it. But we have to be careful and walk a fine line when we play separate characters. I'll try not to put in any really in-depth information that I got IC from letters or anything.Quote:

Sorry for the delay taking save, and will be up in a sec.

Done, too bad you have to autoresolve everything.
I hear you about auto-resolve - such a shame we can't actually fight one another on the battle map
but still, what a great way to play, I'm so glad I got involved!
:2thumbsup:
Cheetah's up:

Alright, I play in two more turns. :2thumbsup:
Things definately seem to be heating up, in a way that would be impossible if these games were played more quickly. :clown: I'm glad we did the Council thing, it has added an extra dimension to the game.
I had a lot of fun writing the "Alexander goes mad" post. :2thumbsup:
As for heating up, yeah it's getting good. I think the speed is just about right. Going quickly helps keep interest up but leaving enough time for diplomacy allows all of the layers and schemes to come about.
I'm really starting to get hooked on these hotseat games. SP is just starting to seem really stale now. I keep starting SP games but I get bored and never finish them.
But with hotseats, I get giddy with anticipation over playing a single turn. :beam:
I can see why you liked that one. :laugh4:
Yeah, every once in a while I start an SP game, but I haven't been able to keep one going since I entered my first hotseat game here. I thought not being able to play battles would lessen the fun a little, but I haven't even noticed (even in the Crusades game, the only one where I've had any battles. :clown: ). SP Europa Universalis 3 can hold my attention a bit longer (I have a game going on where I'm trying to make Wales a superpower), but not much longer.
These things are addictive, expecially the diplomacy. The challenge of both working with and against other human beings makes a huge difference, as does the chance to roleplay.
Next few turns in this will likely set the tone of the early game, and the next few of the Teutonic game will see some real action. I can't wait. :2thumbsup:
You can thank me for heating things up. Hahaha
this is really fun to watch. tchyeah!
While I'm not the GM, I feel strongly about this. You should play your turn exactly once!Quote:

An exception is if the game crashes or something.
Zim should feel free to weigh in or give his own rules for this specific PBM.
I have to agree. Turns should only be played one time anyway. I committed a gaffe of my own in one of the games (won't say which! :clown: ) and you just hav to roll with it.
At any rate, no harm was done, and you used the old save ayway. No harm, no foul :2thumbsup:
Look at it this way, it makes Anglo-Welsh relations more...interesting.
Hey, you guys seem like you have no lives and want more gaming fun on your plate! :clown:
Check out the Multiplayer Tournament if you want to try your hand online. You can't get enough Medieval 2 Total War. If you have never tried online, that's ok, most everyone I know hasn't.
And so I'm not hijacking the topic, I agree with PK and Zim. Some of the screw-ups are just more interesting anyways.
Unfortunately, I don't have the internet connection for that kind of thing. :sweatdrop:
I think it's pretty much been settled that reloading is not allowed. No need for everyone to chime in that they agree. 3 of the 5 players here are new to hotseat games, and when I first started I had to ask to see if I could reload to make an adjustment regarding an agent move (obviously, I couldn't ~;p).
Any future rules concerns should be pmed to me first. As the GM, I'm the one who has to be the badguy and tell people what they can't do. :clown:
Gotcha! :bow:Quote:

After several brushes with death and two wars, the first of which I lost any chance to gain a foothold in my preferred colonization spot(South America), and the second of which lost me one of my home territories, almost all of my colonies, and 90% of my yearly income, I've finally started to recover.
All bow down before my mighty Empire!
It stretches through the mighty northern end of Wales in Europe.

Then, on the west coast of North America, I control all from the thriving metropolis of New Jansylvania (Don't ask what happened to the old one :sweatdrop: )

to the frozen, desolate backwater of Ludwigistan in the north.

Doings have been afoot in the Crusades campaign, but not that its over ,I'll download the save now, and I promise to have it done in, say, two hours?
Is that good?
