Okay then. To avoid getting lynched I need to avoid saying the world Pirate.
That should not prove too much of a problem.

I'm going with Sigurd on this one:

I really am rather confused right now. Is it just me, or are a rather significant number of the players here drunken pirates - I got a PM off Sigurd asking me if I was "drunk and lost", joining the other ten people who also were "drunk and lost". Perhaps this is Sasaki playing some sort of massive joke on us or something - maybe the Monks have already been obliterated, with a few still left, with there only being pirates with the objective of linking up with each other.
Thinking that up seriously hurt my head :dizzy2:
So are you saying you're a pirate?
:inquisitive:
I'll have to think about Sigurd now.

....at least until we hear something from him. I like Sigurd's point best, so far.

Sigurd- what're you up to, man? You hound me all game long, all the while organizing a large group(over half the game roster:dizzy:) of drunkards?

It is now nightime.
I have a very, very bad feeling about this game...
edit: fos Sigurd et Seamus.
:smash: ...
Alright, time to post my suspicions.
Thanks to Shlin's raving drunkenness I suspect many players have contacted him about it.
I did too as I was given the role of a lost and drunken pirate waiting to be found by the gang, so to speak. It seems a great many players have got this same role. And we know that pever and Tevash were pirates too.
I suspect that the pirates are the townie role in this game. We are the uninformed majority whilst the shaolin munks are the informed minority.
I had to read the OP several times before it dawned on me that this Mafia game objective is to rid the island of pirates. The pirates are the majority while the munks are the minority.
Since makaikhaan haven't put up a real defense against my attacks and used the deflection maneuver to try to steer the attention to a third party instead of retaliation, I believe heiswas the real culprit.
And we, lost ship mates, should have a closer look at Chatorix for wanting to lynch a pirate. :beam:
Let's win this game, mates.
Death to the Shaolin munks!!!
So yeah, what Sigurd said.
Told you guys you are all pirates :devilish:
DOWN WITH THE MONKS!
Wow... big revelation here. It was starting to look fishy for me when both people who were murdered as well as myself were all drunken pirates, and shlin was also acting drunk. Great trick by Sasaki there. :laugh4:
But seriously, Sigurd, would you lynch me just for saying that I wanted to lynch the pirates? Before we all figured it out, everyone still thought the pirates were the mafia and were saying similar things. I was just tryin' ta fit in, I'm a pirate too. Plus, I even said it without making it obvious a few posts up.
Spoiler Alert, click show to read:
Well, then, let's lynch some monks and get us some Incan gold. Is our captain still alive?
Who all is even alive at this point? I dead/alive tally would be helpful.
I know I am still alive, but I am waiting for Sasaki to post the voting results to confirm my tally.
Another Drunken pirate here.
So uh how do you tell the difference between a pirate and a monk pretending to be a pirate?
Seamus and Sigurd are found dead.
*******
It is now daytime.
2 duels max.
So I'm guessing that adds more weight to the pirates are town arguement.
Exonerated ...
By mine and Seamus' martyrdom, the Shaolin monks have confirmed my suspicion. They consider us a threat and thinks that removing us will give them an upper hand.
We can no longer PM, but a few players sits on most of the information I gathered.
You know who you are and it is time you gathered.
The Shaolin monks know who all the pirates are, and had the upper hand from the onset. The pirates, thinking they were mafia, tried to stay hidden and impersonate monks.
This has now been removed. Being a pirate is no longer connected to fear of being exposed.
The game has shifted momentum and it is now popular to be pirates. The monks will impersonate pirates for survival.

When was it not popular to be a pirate?
I find it interesting that now the Monks get two kills, whereas in all previous nights they had one. So I have to ask the question - was khaan a Doctor who happened to get very lucky twice? Can we get an answer to this khaan?
Alternately, it could be because one of the monks (Assuming there are 2 and each Monk has 1 kill) was quite inactive during the first phases and has finally rejoined the game. Is there anyone who fits this behavioural pattern?
EDIT: And thanks for the updated list.
Wow, double kill. I sense that the Monks are going after high ranking and highly active pirates. Since the rest of us pirates are scattered I doubt we can rally in time. I think the remaining pirates need to collaborate and quick.
Challange:Omanes, taking a stab at the inactives.
Btw, is there going to be any WOGing Sasaki?
Im a pirate too. But I thought pirates were mafia :sweatdrop:
My kung fu skill is 7 so I was assuming thats pretty highish but apparently im wrong.
As for Chaotics pirate vs ninja talk... I completely disagree. Not because i am japanese and I should like Ninjas more (I hate ninjas.. they are cheap sneaky bastards. Go samurai) but because they are simply awesome fighters in general, apparently a best martial arts fighter in the whole world according to a TV show. PLus they got throwing stars..

Hmm... I know a couple people in there who are definite pirates, as they had contacted me before the pirates were outed, so they have to be pirates, or really stupid monks.
Out of the remainder "pirates", I will Vote: Lord Winter
CA is also a good choice btw.
I shall enjoy observing the rest of this game.
For Leto has gifted his faithful with his providence once more. Leto had not abandoned his followers; indeed, he has ensured our victory over the uncouth, disparaging pirates. Only through Leto can true salvation he achieved. For only through Leto can victory come from defeat, joy from sorrow, pleasure from pain, death from life.
Being one of those that contacted shlin28 about being a pirate before being a pirate was cool..
I will take his word for it and start weasling out the riff-raff...
Vote Lord Winter
My theory was this:
1) Monks had 1 kill for the first 3 nights
2) Day 3 comes around, khaan is killed
3) Monks get 2 kills
So my theory was that maybe khaan was a Doctor, though of course there could be someone else who is a doctor. I'm just throwing ideas out there.
Could you care to explain to me why?Quote:

Vote: Omanes
If the mafia start killing the 'big names', we have to look at the 'vets' who haven't died, and we'll likely get our answer.
I'd have thought that missed doctor opportunities would be due to wrong guesswork than dead doctors. Given the last Kung Fu Mafia game, there's also the possibility that one of the two dead was scum, who happened to attack an unkilllable target. Now I don't know if you're scum or not, and after re-reading the O2Ps, I'm still not quite sure about the game's rules, but I do know that a failed challenge will stop night actions. So,
Vote: CountArach

Ok, I had an average fighting score, but CA beat me. Which means he has an above average score, either from the start or as a result of duels. Has he won any previous duels, and if so, whom did he beat?
I have fought in no previous duels.
IMO anyone who wins a duel is suspicious
???
ED is one of the almost confirmed pirates, and he was following MY bandwagon, so I don't see how he is scummy :2thumbsup:
BTW, I'll probably be killed this night, so any er... protection would be helpful from anyone.
From the list of living players, once I removed almost-confirmed pirates, there is only a couple left, so I chose the two fairly active players randomly...Quote:

So does anyone have any solid evidence or are we running on suspicions?
We should be up against the Shaolin as this is a sequel of Kung Fu Mafia I. It even states that the monks had to relocate to this island.
Seeing makaikhaan's response, I think we lynched one of them. Be on the lookout for powerful duelists. Use the duels as a tool to discover the monks. Shlin should orchestrate this as he has a list of pirates from the pre-pirate reveal. Remember my FYI about makaikhaan's duel score.
You should use your strongest pirates against the most suspicious players. If the pirate lose, you might be up against a monk. But you need to hurry, right now we have the numbers to vote any monk to oblivion.
I wonder though, how the monks were able to kill two of us after we lynched one of them...
They may be three of them? :grin2:
shlin and FactionHeir have been killed.

It is now day.
We have been betrayed :furious3:
Knowing that I will probably die this round, I sent PMs to FH, ED and CR, declaring that FH will be the new leader... since no-one apart from me, Sigurd, FH, ED and CR know that FH is a pirate and the leader-to-be, I can semi-confidently say that either ED or CR is scum.
Kill El Diablo or Crazed Rabbit, one of them is scum.
(Of course, the pirate underground is stil up and running, I wouldn't just send PMs to 3 people would I? :devilish:)

I am a pirate. I was originally contacted by Sigurd, and I did not originally contact Shlin, as many others did.
I put the connection between drunken pirates and being lost in one of my posts.
CR
I contacted him after this post:
As you can see, he didn't make a connection between drunken and lost. It was only after I PM'ed him that he put lost into this:Quote:

Dang... I thought CR had just claimed to be a pirate before the big reveal... well that knocks my CR is a monk theory out of the water.
But, the chances of the monk targetting FH, a fairly inactive player, is practically nil. So I still think there is a leak somewhere...
Edit: ED contacted me on the 30th of September
Sorry guys, I am a little behind on post reading so I am going to Vote:Abstain.
Woah, that will teach me to not read the last few posts on the last page.
I am most definataly a pirate.
I kept my posts in this thread very neutral on purpose - the reason being..
I thought that as a pirate I was mafia. I saw Shlin behaving in a drunken way and took a punt that he was a pitate as well. This was due to my initial pm saying all you can do now is vote in the daytime. Thus I thought that we needed to gather our group so that we could then begin to kill. Not realising that I was town. Thus I wanted to remain annonomus as Shlin was making himself a target.
Then Shlin told me that there were other pirates and I was confused. I still thought that we were mafia and even in one of my posts here stated that "Shlin must be the drunken master kung fu guru" so that people hunting pirates may have another idea as to what he was.
Yes I got the pm from Shlin telling me that FH would lead us if he was killed.
However did I EVER ask who else was pirate? If I was mafia would I not want to know?
Actually that does not make sence as the monks would know who is who would they not?
If they do then why kill off FH as well?
I MAY have been a lucky hit form the monks?
Can anyone confirm that Shlin is a pirate?
Does it matter? He is a dead pirate.
He role played a drunk and I guess either I or FactionHeir contacted him first asking him about it.
Based on the responses I got, the reluctance and the distrust, I would say he is a confirmed pirate.
I think you should have another look at CR ... He is avoiding my hidden accusation. :stare:
Ah .. What am I thinking. :wall:
Well from what I can see CR seems to be like a fairly good lynch option. But then again I haven't been concentrating in this game that well because I was hosting my own:shame:
But I suppose if you are a monk wouldn't you know that pirates are the real townies? In that case wouldn't you give hints about you being drunk and all?
Also if the kung fu skills are out of 10 then what is the lowest kung fu score that player got? If us pirates are on 7-8 range would the Shaolins be on 9-10? Then what is 1-6 range for? :juggle2: There is no third group right??
Vote: El Diablo
Because of shlin's post. It seems convincing to me.
Since El D and Rabbit seem to be the prime candidates, let's cover both.

Missing the vote is quite convenient at this point in the game - it helps you to avoid making enemies and it means you can fly under the radar. He then FoS'ed someone who had already been marked as suspicious (Nothing wrong with that), but he provided no real justification for that.
There's only six players left already. Gosh I'm confused. I think, henceforth, I should:
Vote: El Diablo
I see shlin's point here, as re-brought up by CountArach, as potential evidence of some form of guilt. I would like to here a response before deciding he is definitely a monk though.
ED was lynched last time...
Lot's of time travelling in this game it seems :devilish:
Is that a mistake by Sasaki there? Perhaps one of us is dead already but does not know it because Sasaki wrote "Sigurd" accidentally...
Vote: CR
And if you are suspecting me at this point, yes, I urge you to challenge me. My kung fu score is 6- a little weak for a mafia- but if my words don't convince you, challenge me, beat me, and there'll still probably be 2 kills next night.
EDIT: I won't challenge someone myself because I can't know if I'd win or not, and if I did win, it'd defeat the purpose of the investigation. You'll know that you will beat me if your score is 7 or higher, obviously.
Hmmm so when there were only 1 kill a night, who has always been involved in challenges and lost? Losers can't have night actions afterall.
I don't think that is what happened, personally. Rather than just happening to lose 3 or 4 challenges in a row, I think that Sasaki only allowed the mafia to kill two people after we figured out that the pirates were town.
I'll be back later today for more discussion. But assuming I'm not lynched, who should I challenge, and, likely, beat?
