Voting closes in ONE HOUR
atheotes lurks to much for my taste, and isn't ridiculous enough to lurk like I do. Thus, I am not a hypocrite.
Vote: atheotes.
Ah yes.
Unvote, Vote: atheotes
John, Khazaar and Tratorix, vote vote vote for Atheotes, if you don't, than it is hammer-time. :smash:
Vote:atheotes
Round ends in 10 minutes. Write-up will come later this evening.
End Day 4
The votes were counted, and Valeris (atheotes) was chosen to be administered the truth serum.
https://img107.imageshack.us/img107/1386/valeris.jpg
"No. You humans can have your drugs," said Valeris, determined to explain herself.
"Very well, we'll lock her in the brig if she's guilty and beam the key overboard," said Kirk.
"You have betrayed the Federation. All of you."
"What do you think you've been doing?" asked McCoy.
"Saving Starfleet. You said so yourself, Captain. 'Klingons cannot be trusted.' And you were right. They conspired with us to assassinate their own Chacellor. How trustworthy can they be?"
"Who is 'us'? Names, Lieutenant."
"Everyone who stands to lose from peace."
"Names, Lieutenant."
"I do not remember," she said defiantly.
Spock then approached her, forcing his hands onto her face in a mind-meld. The two spoke in unison.
"Starfleet Admiral Cartwright...Klingon General Chang...Romulan ambassador Nanclus..."
"Klingons and Federation members, conspiring together?" asked McCoy.
"Another onboard...traitor..."
"Who?" demanded Kirk. "Who is the other onboard traitor?"
Spock dug deeper into her mind. Valeris let out a scream. Spock finally pulled back, both Vulcans in agony. :vulcan:
"She does not know," said Spock.
"Then we're all dead," bemoaned Scotty.
"I've been dead before," said Spock. "We have one more traitor to uncover. Let us not lose focus."
Valeris smiled. She had fallen, but knew that the conspiracy was more important than her. Even behind bars, there may still be victory.
Later, one of the missing phasers was found after a thorough search of her quarters.
Atheotes is in the brig and permanently out of the game.
Begin Night 4. The round will end at 1800 PST SUNDAY (0100 GMT MONDAY), or whenever everyone gets their night orders in, whichever comes first
I told you to trust my theory :beam: I got us a traitor!
Now I FOS: All those who didn't vote, or kept denying my theory.
I argued with you as you insisted your theory proved atheotes was the traitor, I was arguing it didn't prove it, but I didn't say your theory had no merit.
Night is over. Write-up will come after I send night action results. Please, do not comment here until I post the write-up.
Night 4
https://img33.imageshack.us/img33/60...trek031024.jpg
Klaxons began ringing all over the ship. Someone had shut down the warp core! Everyone was ordered to immediately return to their quarters.
In the morning, the officers discussed what had happened.
"No damage reported, ser," said Scotty.
"No unusual activity seen on security wideos," reported Chekhov. "All hands returned to quarters after the alarm was sounded."
"Suggestions?" asked Kirk.
"If everyone did return to quarters, and all crew was accounted for, and no damage was sustained, then logic suggests that this may have happened for our protection, rather than our hindrance," suggested Spock.
"Some relief that is," said McCoy, sarcastically. "Why don't you use your darned logic to find out who the other traitor is, instead?"
Begin Day 5. You have until 1800 PST Monday (0100 GMT Tuesday) to vote
Can anyone shed some light on what happened last night?
I hope I was right in the write-up, though I think it was the work of our engineer.
I am going to vote: John , he is so jumpy and defensive and it is the only time I seen him be like this. He has to be covering for himself, plus his reluctance to vote for Atheotes is a factor as well.
Lads, that was me, I basically locked down the ship blocking all actions beneficial or otherwise.Aye, I can do that every night, the only problem is that the ensuing radiation will kill me. But I´m an old man, the only thing I need is a bottle of scotch and to find the traitor in our midst.
Yeah, problem is you messed up my investigation results. I investigated John last night because of his behaviour and it got cancelled because of you and I really don't want to lynch some one else.
Anyway, John, your vote was last second, just before the round was over, so you can bring it up now to cover your tracks. You are far too jumpy and defensive, you usually rarely post at all. You was really jumpy around Atheotes too. I don't want to take the risk.
Well you wasted it. Now I can't even vote.
Yeah, you really messed up everyones actions, since everyone was town, bar one. Having all our investigation, role-blocks, protectors and other possibile abilities stripped from us, you messed us all over.
That makes little sense... if you can stop everyone from night actions every night, then... we could just keep lynching until we get it right. Either a game design flaw or a lie, methinks.
No, he gets poisoned and dies, he said. He can only do it limited, but the thing is, it is only worth it when it is like 2v2 town mafia and you need to stop the mafia victory. By doing it early, he just screwed over the town.
What will really screw over the town is playing the blame game. If we have failed to root out a mafia so far, then we are in trouble and we need to act with unity. Otherwise we might as well shake hands with the mafia and say good game.
We can't just vote abstain. Mafia will obviously just join in at the last second.
Vote John, he has been scummy as it is.
I follow Beskar's lead, I suppose.
Vote: Johnhughthom
25 minutes to go
Vote: Johnhugthom
time's up
End Day 5
Votes were counted, and it was decided that johnhughthom would be forced to take the serum.
https://img269.imageshack.us/img269/4933/uhura2293b.jpg
"My name is Uhura. I am chief communications officer. I know nothing about this conspiracy."
And with that, she passed out.
"Well that solves a lot," said McCoy.
johnhughthom is out of commission
Begin Night 5. You have until 1700 PST Tuesday (000 GMT Wednesday)
Well, that was a quick way to solve it.
What next, intrepid leader? I have a phaser here and I'd like to use it to "waporize" some scumbag. Who should I use it on?
I blame John for having a bad defence.
or your bad theory:clown:
I wasn't sure on John, however, I was sure on you, and it was right. :beam:
Obviously.... I dunno. Why doesn't everyone take the serum?
Beskar, haven´t you claimed to have an ability that you use during the day? Post No. 140. And during your mindmelt you found all kinds of information about traitors (generals etc.) but you want to tell us that she didn´t know the other traitor on this ship? Maybe it´s because you are the other traitor? Mindmelt gone wrong, got turned to the dark side?
That didn;t occur, Khazaar, I ensure you, I am Innocent.
An in-role answer:
Vulcans from an early age learn to control their feelings and emotions. While in a mind-meld, information is shared, such information is objectified than rationalised by the vulcan's own experiences. Logically, if there is any information past which cannot be shared with the crew, it will be shared with the Commanding Officer.
Sorry, been crazy at work last few days and haven't had much time to get online. The annoying thing is I had an ability that could have tied the vote...Wait, why am I apologising after being lynched? Come on traitor, blow that ship to pieces!:skull:
It would be kinda odd if Beskar was guilty after he shouted from the rooftops about atheotes. Odd, not impossible...
I would throw a Mafia partner under a bus, but only if they were getting lynched, and voted like you would have done, which made me suspect you of doing the same.
It was an error on my part. The vote against you was a wild stab of suspicion.
How 'bout them Knicks?
Oh boy. Has anyone cleared AVSM yet? I feel like he is just trying to sneak through.
Round over, write-up commencing
End Night 5
Klaxons were sounded again! Security rushed to Dr. McCoy's quarters (Tratorix)
https://img19.imageshack.us/img19/9800/mccoy1.jpg
There was no trace of the doctor, except for a little squishy thingy.
"Nurse Chapel, can you analyse this?" asked Kirk.
"That's Commander Chapel," she snapped back. "Didn't you see the last movie? The credits list me as a Commander."
"I wrote the last movie. You weren't even in it," said Kirk.
"I'm referring to The Voyage Home. The crew voted unanimously to agree that The Final Frontier never happened. Anyways, it looks like this is all that's left of the doctor."
"There are two possibilities to determine if the doctor was the traitor: Excessive Jargon, or Ridiculous Idea," said Spock.
"Let's go for Ridiculous Idea."
"I concur," said Spock.
While the nurse was implanting the gooey remains of Dr. McCoy into the brain of a talking rat, the attention turned to who killed the doctor.
"If Valeris were here, I believe that she would say that no one may fire an authorized phaser aboard a starship," said Spock. (actual quote from movie, not an implication of anyone's guilt -Ed) "I've analyzed the weapon. It is the other missing phaser, and I have found Commander Chekov's fingerprints on it. The day is beginning, let us discuss this now. Ms. Chapel, any progress on the doctor?"
"Yes, sir. The doctor was completely innocent."
Tratorix has been waporized and is out of the game
Begin Day 6. You have until 1700 PST Wednesday (000 GMT Thursday)
I waporized one of the suspects. I never cared for that doctor anyway. Now there's less people to pick from. Any ideas?
Chekov is innocent (other than killing the doctor, but not our mafia)
Since AVSM is the captain, that leaves, Khazaar.
Vote: Khazaar
Also, his actions.. he set off alarms right, possibly attempting to damage the ship on purpose, and kill us all. It wasn't a pro-town ability, it was him trying to kill us all.
I believe that is a very good theory. I trust Beskar because he actually knows I am innocent in spite of my failed attempt to kill our traitor last night. I was half expecting to get wagoned for that.
In my opinion it is either AVSM who is supposed to be our captain, or Khazaar. I recently did a star trek game where Kirk was one of the guilty ones. I believe a repeat is possible but I sort of hope it's not the case.
Vote: Khazaar
God, Beskar and AtPG seem to be working in every single game huh? What would the chances be? Very high....
I can't pressure vote either of them without forcing a tie, so I'm going to
Vote: Abstain
I assure you that my other teammates (God and Beskar) and I don't work together every game.
Well, since one Mafia is dead, we both can't be Mafia.
Since APTG is suspicious because he killed some one, and I have a result claiming he is actually innocent. It only leaves you and Khazaar. Since you are the Captain and Khazaar did that damage thing claiming it was a role-block sort of thing, it leaves Khazaar as the most likely target.
However, what it is funny, it makes Atheotes and Khazaar as another Mafia pair. As they were together in that other game as well.
I want a partner to. Kirk needs more lovin' than either of you will.
You rejected my love.
Come here my little bunny whiskers. I'd never reject you.
Alas, I have not grown enough for me to be truly enough for everyone. Don't fret, the movies will be over soon.
ATPG, you even said that you own a phaser and wanted to use it. What does that mean, that you viligranted Tratorix? Also there´s been only one kill and that is that of ATPG, so how should anyone else be guilty. The quick agreement of you two is very suspicious, I remeber ATPG himself saying that Mafia will often try to quickly agree with someone to get on their good side. So what does that mean?
Beskar Mafia (fakeclaim investigator) ---> ATPG town (and convinced)
Beskar town ----> ATPG mafia (investigation immune)
Beskar town ----> ATPG town ----> AVSM mafia
What´s suspicious is that you say that my damaging the ship (that actually did no damage to the ship) was claimed a roleblocker ability. There was no claim, it´s true, the writeup heavily implies that.
Anyway from activity I´d say AVSM is most likely the culprit but beskar simply tried to hard to twist stuff...
Vote:Beskar
I'm insulted. You compare me to two of the most active people. Just for that, I'm going to kill by not doing anything.
Getting childish now? No matter, you all reek of scum, I will only be judged in Heaven.
'Lo, there do I see my father.
'Lo, there do I see my mother, and my sisters, and my brothers.
'Lo, there do I see the line of my people back to the beginning.
'Lo, they do call to me.
They bid me take my place among them.
In the halls of Valhalla where the brave may live forever.
And for the readingimpaired https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RN-n...eature=related
Bet'cha ATPG is guilty because he still has one of those brain worms from Star Trek II in his head.
Nyope not this time.
You know, if it weren't for Khazaar pointing the finger at everyone, AVSM abstaining, and your thinking I am scum, I'd be more interested in the input from the rest of the team. If Beskar is the only one supporting me, why wouldn't I follow his lead? My only options are Khazaar or AVSM, and after this lynch it's too late.
If it turns out to be Kirk after I predicted the shapeshifter got him, I'm going to treat myself to some Romulan ale.
looks like somebody is being played by somebody :laugh4:
Round over, write-up commencing
End Day 6
The votes were counted, and Khazaar was the winner. Or should I say loser.
"I am Commander Montgomery Scott, Chief Engineer."
https://img200.imageshack.us/img200/...ttgenerati.jpg
"I am not a part of the conspiracy. I shut down the warp core the other night because I was worried about what the enemy might do at night. I figured that this would stop them. It did, but it also stopped everyone else. In addition, the reason that the engines slowed earlier was because you previously threw me in the brig, which meant that I couldn't take care of the warp drive."
There were only three senior staff members left, and one of them was a traitor. The night began, and each of them knew that win or lose, this would all be decided soon. Universal peace hung in the balance.
Khazaar has been removed from the game.
Begin Night 6. You have until 1700 PST Thursday (0100 GMT Friday) to send in your night orders.
Wibble...
Why Friday?
Midnight Friday GMT. Aka in 19 minutes!
Edit: I think I wrote 0100 GMT, which would be 1800 PST, but since you all sent in your orders it'll still end at 1700.
ohh I thought it was in 24 hours sort of thing.
End night...what night is it?
https://img24.imageshack.us/img24/53...sencc1701a.jpg
To the average crewman, it seemed like a pretty uneventful night. But to Those Who Could Do Stuff, a lot had happened....
Begin Daytime. Voting will end at 1700 PST Friday, as per usual.
Vote: AVSM
He is Martia the Shapeshifter, Kirk died on the Planet while Mc Coy managed to escape.
Hmm. I would think if AVSM targeted me for a murder, he should have won. If he didn't do so, then this outcome makes sense.
Vote: AVSM
There were so many things I could have done. Namely, kill AtPG the night before.
Ah well, you have my congratulations.
End Day, write up commencing
On Rura Penthe, several nights ago
Kirk and McCoy had realized that Martia's plan was merely a set-up. Killed while trying to escape...that was the conspiracy's plan to get rid of the two starfleet officers.
The two tried to attack her, but she knocked McCoy unconscious. It was then that she shifted into the shape of Kirk. The two fought, but then were surrounded by Klingon guards and their targs.
"Kill him, he's the one!" shouted Martia/Kirk.
"Not me you idiot, hi--" but the real Kirk was cut short, as a disruptor beam hit his chest. He disintegrated moments later. Martia/Kirk and McCoy were then beamed back onto the Enterprise, before McCoy could be killed.
Now, on the Enterprise
The remaining senior staff voted for A Very Super Market. He was given the serum.
The body of Kirk shifted into that of a woman.
https://img20.imageshack.us/img20/2161/martia.jpg
"My name is Martia. I infiltrated your crew as a safeguard against Valeris confessing. Valeris did not know who I was. The conspiracy is poised to attempt another assassination at the upcoming conference. If successful, this will plunge the galaxy into war. The peace conference is at Camp Khitomer, near the Romulan Neutral Zone."
"We must hurry," said Spock. "Maximum warp."
Armed with all they needed to know, the Enterprise hurried towards Khitomer, ready to fight for peace.
Game Over. Town Victory
And here's some of the mechanics/ideas that I had:
First, the first 3 nights: In order for Kirk and McCoy to be rescued, Scotty would have to be active at least one of those nights. If he was in the brig for 2 nights and then roleblocked a 3rd, or roleblocked all 3 nights, then Kirk and McCoy would have been killed on night 3. Since Scotty was put in the brig one of the days, the Enterprise had to "slow down" which took them an extra day to rescue them. If he hadn't been voted for, they would have been rescued on Night 2. Uhura was needed in order for Kirk and McCoy to both vote. Since she was role-blocked one night, I wrote it as having her comm station being sabotaged.
Not removing people from the game those nights gave people a chance to see who was who, without condemning anyone too early. I wanted this to be a challenge for the mafia, which was why I limited the night kills. In the end, Valeris wasn't able to use her night kill (I'll post abilities shortly) and Martia waited too long to use her's.
As for Martia:
The mafia started with only one member. Each time a person revealed their role before Kirk and McCoy were rescued, it increased the chance that one of those two would be killed and be taken over by Martia. 4 people revealed, so I had random.org select a number between 1 and 7, and if that number was 4 or below (which it was) then Martia would take over Kirk or McCoy. I decided between the two with a coin toss.
I'll post everyone's initial roles, and their updated abilities, later this evening.
Hunh, guess I was wrong. Good. Yay for Beskar, yay for the town, boo ATPG.
See? and you wanted me lynched.
Boo me? I blocked AVSM on the last round, thus preventing a town fail. :2thumbsup:
That's payback for the Lift Escape. :laugh4:
(just kidding)
