That's odd. I displays correctly for me now. I'm using Firefox. Maybe there's some cache, either for your browser, or a file on the server.

At the time I wrote that post, it was still broken, but as of this moment it appears to be fixed. I cannot explain why that happened, as I am using Firefox as well. :shrug:

Sometimes cached settings or images can be corrupted to produce odd results. Hard refresh with Ctrl + F5 sometimes corrects this.

I'm experimenting more to understand it. Right now I'm trying to understand the add manager. It seems that nice extra functions are not working. For now you'll see an add in every first post. It's a link to amazon to buy NTW. It's not malicious code.

I was having the same problem just now. I can't get here via my bookmark, and the link on the main .org page doesn't work either. I can get to the forums through links to other threads, though.

Edit: https://forums.totalwar.org/vb/forum.php works fine. I guess it's just the Home page.

Yup, same thing. I normally go to /vb but clicking on the forum button worked when i didnt have permission.

When I logged in. I didn't get redirected to the index, I got redirected "https://forums.totalwar.org/vb/WOLPATH"?

Seems it stands for: Who's On-Line PATH. And plenty of forums have been getting it too.

But, I can see the bar that says my User-name, Notifications, Profile, Settings, Log-out.

Seems sometimes either at log-in or when clicking the "Forum" button at the top instead of getting redirected to "https://forums.totalwar.org/vb/forum.php", I'm getting redirected to any of "https://forums.totalwar.org/vb/content.php", "https://forums.totalwar.org/vb/index.php" or "https://forums.totalwar.org/vb/".

The first gives me no issue an shows the board, the last three bring up that permissions issue.

Also the Home button at the top redirects to the issue providing URL: "https://forums.totalwar.org/vb/content.php".

Do we have the old skins back yet?

The permissions for this one are odd to say the least. It was supposed to work just a few minutes after Beskar reported it. Obviously it didn't. I'm not sure what I did now, as obvious changes didn't show any effect. There might be some cache involved. It should work now.

No, the old skins aren't back. None of them works here, so they'll have to be build from scratch. I really want them back too, but for now, the basics keep me busy.

I'm not sure if Tincow covered this, but it would be nice to have the percentage thing saying when your PM is getting full, when playing games in the gameroom a lot peoples PM boxes being full delays stuff (my own included).

You're right, that seems gone too.

Oh thank you thank you thank you thank you.... I am just glad they will be back eventually. I feel like my brain is stuck inside snow, and my eyes are going blind from snow blindness.

Maybe it looks ok on a normal monitor but all I have is a laptop, and for everything else to look normal I have to have the brightness up fairly high. The high contrast between the bright white and the black is very bad for me, perhaps more than for others. And I can't turn it down because when I am hosting my Resident Evil game on this forum I need to have several other windows open at the same time so I can easily transfer information back and forth, and those windows are harder to see when the display isn't at full brightness. Then you pair that with the 10 hours or so at a time... and I get headaches from the whiteness.

It's that different.

I am now using "The Guild" style.

I like what I am seeing so far. It is much better, albeit the posts themselves are still a bit white for my taste.

I'm still working on our own styles, but it's going to be a lot of trial and error (I can't invest every hour of the day). I've checked the fan made styles and I guess style breeze is at least better than the vanilla one.

I'm using The Guild skin and I would like to point out that "Notifications,My Profile,Settings,Log out" buttons on top of the page are not visible. You can notice them only when hovering your cursor over them.
Other than that this is a nice skin. Like it better than that Vanilla one. :bow:

EDIT: Seeing that things change here every minute or so I'll check the forum tomorrow..

Still working on it, getting the hang of it. There seem to be more elements to control. So, for a real artist it should be very possible to get something very nice and subtle.

On the default skin, the font colours are currently light grey on even lighter grey.

Hello Joooray,

That was always an option that needed to be toggled to on in the vanilla versions. It was modified to be on by default, but that's not done yet in this version. I sure hope to do so, it's one of the many tweaks that make it easier to use.

I am having an error in my Resident Evil Game Thread.

I have several of the images in spoilers, but the spoilers do not open when you click on them, but that only happens if there are several spoilers in one post. The posts with fewer spoilers allow the spoilers to open, which is even more odd.

EDIT: Even odder, now that I follow the link I provided, the spoilers open. But then a different post... the spoilers didn't open for that one, until I clicked on the post number and re-loaded the page.

Those work/don't work bugs are often the hardest to fix. It works for me on Firefox. Those spoilers expect something from your browser. When you have opened them before, they may still feel they are.

Would it be possible to look at last post time? They're currently light grey on lighter grey, and are nearly invisible.

Ok, so we have a skin. Now you just need to fix the white space taking up huge portions of the left and right of the forum. It's not that hard to expand the forum width to be proportional to the size of the browser window.

How can I mass-delete read message receipts in my inbox? I have uh... thousands of them. And I won't be clicking each one individually...

I recall from older version that you can mass select a day, a week and two weeks (old ones). Once selected you can delete them all at once. There should also be a select all box at the top.

Yes, I remember; that particular button seems to be missing. I've looked everywhere.

The option is still there. The text is grey on grey, so you may have to look twice.

I selected all, to highlight everything on the page. Nothing new appeared.

Perhaps it's only enabled for the Administrators, or something. The select all box appears for actual private messages, but not for the receipts. For me, anyway.

--I'm a fan of the RTW skin. The current one is a big step up for reading comfort from the blue and white, but eventually it'd be nice to have the RTW one back again.
--The quick navigation bar at the bottom of each page used to take you back to the closest subforum with a single click, or you could scroll through to pick another one out. Now the scrolling through is the only option, and with the backroom way down at the bottom, that can be a bit of a pain. I usually hit the button to go back to the top of the page, and then click on the backroom up there. It's an extra click and moment of waiting for each thread I look at. No biggie, but it'd be nice eventually to be able to go back to where I was from the end of the thread with one click.

STW and RTW skin will return. It's taking longer than intended. The quick navigation is missing indeed. Odd, this is a standard feature.

Don't know whether it's something to do with the forum upgrade but in the social groups page I have options to leave from the group but also I can edit and delete groups that I created.
However, when I try to delete a group I created it says I don't have permission to do that.
So, do members have the permission to delete groups they created and the button is just buggy or they don't have the permission to do that?

Edit: Btw, I like that now I can see who currently are browsing the forum I'm on! ~:)

That always was a possibility, but users don't have the permission to delete groups.
